  1. Do they accept dollars to pay for travel tax and terminal fee?

    Thanks :)

they accept dollars for terminal fee, I think it is about $13(depends on the exchange rate for 550 pesos)

  2. We already paid their tourist visa interview fee at BPI bank on a 3 separate payment slips and I need to schedule their interview appointment online. When I schedule them online do I need to register and create 3 email address for each person and then create their profile or can I just register 1 email address and from there I will create their profile?

  3. our went from AP after interview then next day Refused for 3 weeks due to NSO error on her cenomar, then Ready for 10 days, then AP again 3 days then finally Issued. Total of 5 weeks of waiting till we got the "issued" status and another 5 days visa on hand.

  4. Lots of smiles tonight!!

  5. Hi! I'm taking a chance posting this on here. I'm not really sure if this is the right forum to post this in. Chose the regional forum because the job will most likely entail working with off-shore teams located in the Philippines, and being fluent in Tagalog is expected :)

So my former boss is looking for an experienced QA/software test analyst. The job is located in Atlanta, GA. I used to work for the client (as an on-site lead for the offshore team in the philippines) and they wanted to see if I'd like to work for them again. They have three openings, all in QA, and if anyone is interested you can message me for the details.

hi, my niece is good in computer programming / software. her company sent her

in europe and canada to work for a couple of months in their offices. She works in the philippines though. Does your company sponsor for work visa? let me know your email address.

  6. The Embassy is running very slowly these days so no one can say when yours or if it will be approved. Having said that it seems you have corrected the issue and it just needs to be reviewed and a final approval given.

We are ahead of you and working on the AOS side and it is going slow for us too. I am at a point now that I don't even look every day but have found that when something has changed they are good about texting me and when you least expect it..... "you've got mail".

This is the time to have patience.

thanks greenbaum. it is a waiting game and i hope we will get the approval eventually.

  7. You didn't read what happened with them with the CENOMAR that had been issued? You would be lining up for a turn at kicking butt if you had.

Hi Tbishop, if you were in our shoes you probably kick their butt too. But my fiancée and I decided to be diplomatic in dealing with them (NSO) since the ball is in their court.

  8. Sounds like the file is there somewhere, sure a lot of hoop-a-la over an NSO employee issuing a CENOMAR with a wrong name (then being a pecker about it). Hopefully it will get corrected very soon. I will keep my fingers crossed.

We also talked to NSO and they said they will send a letter to the embassy regarding the erroneous cenomar. Thanks Hank.

  9. We were told by Immigrant Visa Unit that my fiancee's K1 visa is still under review but they haven't updated her status yet and it still says "Refused". I went with her interview 2 1/2 weeks ago. NSO gave us an erroneous Cenomar. We submitted the supporting documents to prove our case. They said they will forward it to the consul once they process it. They are updating the date almost everyday but not the status. Anyone here had the same experience? I hope they change the status to AP instead of Refused.

  10. first I would like to thank god for the happy ending process and also all of you Visa Journeyers who help me to answer my question and share experiences our visa was issued after back and forth status changes like from AP-REFUSED-AP-READY-AP than finally ISSUED on march 17 and we got the visa right next day surprisingly on the 18 we had the visa on hand so now my dear is coming in 2 days it feels surreal... I wish you all in AP or other waiting process smooth process hang in there be patience and keep the hope up I know there are days that i used to feel sad but never hopeless

Congratulations, I'm happy for you! I'm praying that they would issue my fiancee's visa too! My fiancee's interview was 2 weeks ago. I went to manila to accompany her to her interview. The Consul said all our documents were ok except for the erroneous cenomar that NSO issued to us. NSO put 2 marriages on her cenomar. She had only one marriage with her late husband. The consul said their liaison officer will investigate and confirm with NSO directly. They did not give us 221g, they just sent us home and said just wait for her visa to be delivered.

After the interview i checked her CEAC status it went from AP same day after the interview then went to Refused the next day. As of today it still says "Refused". We called the immigrant visa unit and we were told to submit supporting documents to prove that the other person in her cenomar is not her. Now, we are waiting and been calling the embassy asking the status and they kept saying it is still under review. The status date on the CEAC keep changing but still says "Refused". Hoping it will change to AP or Ready.

  11. Immigrant Visa Unit whose reviewing our case told us to send the supporting documents thru 2GO and all our email conversation with NSO regarding the typographical error in her cenomar. We sent it last week and their mail department received the documents last thursday. I called them last week several times and they were saying they have not received the documents yet and they kept saying my fiancée's visa status is under review but whenever I checked the status in CEAC website still says Refused and it says they send us notification in writing which we have not received yet. My fiancées case was just a mere typographical encoding error by NSO personnel. Hoping that the consul will approve her visa once they see our supporting documents.

  12. We had our interview last week and the consul said they have to investigate my fiancee's cenomar because it showed 2 marriages, hers and her sister's. My fiancée and her sister have a very similar names (traditional in the philippines to have similar names only difference is 1 or 2 letters) We submitted her marriage contract and her husband's death certificate and we told the consul that she only had 1 marriage. The consul said they have their liaison officer to verify it with NSO and it will take weeks to investigate. The filipino guy from window 72 said they will check all details (ie. D.O.B.) from NSO and they don't know how long it will take to investigate. He just sent us home. After only 1 day from our interview they already made a decision to refused her visa. I don't think they did a thorough investigation.

We called NSO to fix the erroneous cenomar and told them they should only put her name on the cenomar. We talked to the immigration visa unit reviewing our case and explained that the other name in her cenomar is her sister. He asked us to submit the supporting documents for prove our claim. He told us to send the supporting documents through 2GO courier.

My fiancée and I went to NSO to get her sister's birth certificate and marriage contract. Can we just hand deliver the supporting documents? I want to make sure that they will have all supporting documents while I'm here in Manila. I will leave for US in a week. We are hoping this will convince the consul that she only had 1 marriage with her now deceased husband. Please pray for us. Thank you.

  13. Thank you all for your advice. We will go to NSO and have them fix their mistake. We are planning to go to USEM and try to submit the revised Cenomar. If we cannot appeal our case, I will start a new I-129F application. Hank, do you know when can I apply for the 2nd time? In the CEAC visa status it says they sent a notification in writing, will they sent it to my fiancée here in Manila or are they going to send it to me in the US?

  14. Her cenomar showed 2 names, her name and her deceased husband and another name very similar to her name with a different husband. We called NSO the day before our interview and asked them why did they put another person's name which is not her. They said that will not be a problem with the embassy because the other person have different DOB.

So we went to our K1 interview the next day, we submitted her marriage contract and death certificate of her husband. The consul asked all the detailed information on the death certificate of her deceased husband. everything were okay until the consul asked about the cenomar why there are 2 names. He said they have to investigate if the other name is not really hers. He said we already established our relationship and all documents were okay and the only problem is the cenomar. I asked the consul if she can go with me when i leave for US in 2 weeks, he said it will take time for them to investigate the cenomar. He told us to seat down until they call our number again.

The filipino guy called our number at window 72 and told us that the embassy will be the one to contact NSO and check all the data and it will take weeks to process it. He also told us they don't have her medical yet. She had her medical 9 days prior to her interview. He just gave us our appointment confirmation copy back and told us to go home and just wait for her visa to be delivered. He did not give us any form or documents.

I checked her status at the CEAC website that same night and it says "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING" then the following day after our interview I checked the status again and it says "REFUSED".

I am so sad and confused they said it will take several weeks to investigate the cenomar then why just after a day of our interview they already made a decision. Is this just a CEAC error? We don't know what to do? Can we appeal this? Please help.

  15. Has anybody here or know anyone who extend their K1 visa. I have a friend who already have a K1 visa approved by USEM and her K1 visa 6 months validity will expire soon. Can she extend it if she can't leave for US before it expires and what will be the procedure to do the extension? Any advise will be appreciated. thank you.

  16. INTERVIEW DAY:

Remember no electronics are allowed in the embassy; no cell phones, no cameras, no memory sticks. And NO food.

    ********

No special advice.... enjoy, it is a great experience!

The CO may ask you questions, he may simply tell you to sit down. For me, he asked me as many questions as he did my wife.

my fiancée doesn't want her office to know that she is leaving for US until everything is approved. will the CO call her office and verify her job?

  17. Doesn't matter if you do the DS-160 before or after scheduling the interview. Usually have to wait 12-24 hours after paying at BPI before you can schedule the interview............. IF there were any opening... which there aren't right now. Waiting for July to become available.

Doubt you will see a May date unless you trip over a cancellation.

    Good Luck.

thank you hank and greenbaum! I got an appointment for May 15 and I'll be there for her interview...any advice? will the CO interview me also? will USEM allow me (petitioner) to bring my cellphone?
