I received an rfe notice (was not updated online so receiving it in the mail was a surprise) about form I-693.

Like a lot of others, as part of my original application, I only sent in the DS 3025 form showing my vaccinations. The rfe has an x marked next to one item in a list of documents saying "furnish original vaccination/medical examination form I-693. Supplement form I-693 (immunizations) performed by an authorised civil surgeon and submitted in a sealed envelope." Also, further below, another x is placed next to "other - medical records indicate your vaccination history is incomplete".

Just had 2 questions about the rfe if anyone can help. Is the request just for transcription of my vaccinations onto the supplement form, or should I get a new medical exam done?

Also, the rfe is requested to be sent to a field office in Philadelphia, which is not the usual place it seems. Any thoughts on this?

Just an update from me, I also received notification of approval for ead/ap on March 7th. Just received my card yesterday after it was stuck in Knoxville, TN for a few days.

Start work on Monday after a long vacation. Good luck to everyone

If you have a formal offer, you can try to expedite the EAD. I did that with my offer and was just notified today that my EAD was moved to card production about a week after submitting the required documentation.

Any luck with your expedite request? I heard back within a day and have submitted my documents, hoping for a good result. Hope the same for you

and now i am all freaked out if i gave them the right reason for doing so. well, i hope that if i didn't the worst that can happen will be "sorry, woman, but no, you wait as long as you should to get your papers."

Hope you guys had a good weekend. Just wanted to see if there were any other approvals for expedite requests for EAD for January filers.

I am thinking about requesting to expedite the EAD (just received a job offer).

Wow that's great to hear that they are moving so fast.

Finally got my rfe letter (good call malealpha), and they want a copy of the applicants birth certificate. I submitted copies of birth certificates for both myself and my USC spouse with our application, so not quite sure what happened there. I'll see if maybe I can submit a notarised copy now (hopefully that's sufficient).

Glad to see others in the same journey (fellow January filer here).

I checked the status of my case online last week and it mentions that on Feb 3, 2014, a RFE was mailed out to me. I have been reading the various requests that members have received, so I am hoping it relatively straight forward. I still have not received the hard copy of the RFE however. How long did it generally take for everyone to receive their hard copy RFE letters?

Also, is there a difference between a request for "initial evidence", as opposed to any other evidence?
