Because we can choose if we want to file with papers or electronically, so if we request an expedited review, this decision is completely under the mercy of the consulate, we can't choose then. And if the consulate for some reason decides to go with paper, we are delayed further because China customs sit on the file for 3MONTHS for no reason, and the consulate will not be able to get my files till after China customs decides to release the file. So...EP sounds a lot faster...lol!

Oh, We would really expedite it if we know for sure it will save us time...China runs a different ship...we could just make a best decision out of the options we were given and pray for it.

Wow...our case was expedited thru USCIS too. And before we got our case numbers, we were really worried cause we are on a tight time frame so we asked and explained our need to expedite our case, and we were told we could do it now, without case number and any of that stuff. But because of China's "special" customs rules, we decided to go thru EP cause the consulate will decide if they want me to file with paper or electronically, and we can't take that chance, so we decided (also on Darnell's advise) to wait for EP, so we didn't expedite it thru NVC.

When our expedite request in NVC was approved,they let us mail all our documents to a supervisor. I was expecting that it will be forwarded here in our embassy. But having a supervisor review all our documents made all the process really fast.

Actually you can. We ve asked. The answer was if you need to expedite your case, you can do it even with a USCIS receipt number.

My case was expedited at USCIS,when it arrived at NVC,we asked for another expedite but the agent told us that we need to wait for a case number to expedite and that's what we did.

We got a checklist and Im afraid its a real one. Ill put it in my timeline.

I paid my IV a while ago,i used chrome too,and i used my celphone in paying,I was so excited that I forgot to use IE..Now it says,IN PROCESS..I hope it gets through. Reading your post,made me anxious and worried:(

Yeah I check it in explorer - and tried chrome just in case. I wonder if it has to do with whatever reason the system was offline this weekend. Maybe updates? If its not available by the end of today I will try calling/emailing.

I filled out the DS261 on Feb 11th - and was invoiced for I-864 on the 13th. I finally got the email that I was invoiced for the IV bill on Friday Feb 28th for the IV - It shows it in the system but it still wont let me pay it in the system. Very frustrating!

We are on the same boat. I got an email stating to.pay IV,but until noW,I cant pay. My husband tried calling nvc and told him to use internet explorer instead of chrome. We tried all kinds of browsers to no avail.

Well, when I went to my interview, which was after the tax deadline, I just brought the new year's tax information. Although looking back, I'm not sure why I hadn't brought an updated I-864 as the numbers were obviously different. It might be fine with an updated I-864, but I'd suggest bringing one anyways, just in case.

Does this mean that after april,the petitoner and co sponsors need to fill up the form I-864 or the beneficiary may just bring the latest tax return transcripts in the interview?

I see the one which nvc received late than ours who have case numbers already are expedite request..

But u cant request for expedite if u dont have your.case number yet. Thats what the lady in nvc told my husband.

What is the date of your Noa2? Did Nvc recieved ur case already?

Thats sad to hear and to think nvc received your file first than ours..so its possible they dont have case numbers for filers like us with these dates. :-(

I have seen cases after me,but have their case numbers already. I think its not a first come,first serve basis after all.
