  1. If your son has his U.S. passport there are no issues with traveling. The Philippines will want to charge an exit fee but that is another story and the fee is about Php 810, you can get an exemption for this

    http://www.cfo.gov.ph/pdf/laws%20and%20policies/01%20PTA%20-%20TRAVEL%20TAX.pdf

my son has both philippine passport and us passport do you mean we will get also exit clearance from the bureau of immigration. i dont understand what clearance they need to get from the us embassy. i was in the understanding that if a person holds both philippine and us passport you dont need to get an exit clearance from the bureau of immigration cause i already called up the bureau of immigration about this.

  2. Emergency Response Needed. my fiance is at the airport. she got turned away because she didn't do the CFO seminar. this wasn't explained to us during the initial interviewat the US Embassymy son is with her and has a US passport and traveling for the first time. Delta told her that she has to go back to the embassy for him to be clearedas a first time traveler with the US passport. is this true? we miss the flight for Tuesday March 4th and will be missing the flight for March 5th

does your son has also philippine passport?

  4. Hello guys

I was expecting CC as its already been a month after submitting AOS packet.

Its asking for a new form and it has mentioned multiple things to be done which we have already did.

Anybody in the same situation? Please help me.

yes same with us so what we did so that we will not get another checklist we already put the 2013 income and 2013 tax return. hope we will be done with the nvc. its soooooo stressful.

  5. Hi, Visa Journey! Please help me. Today we got a CHECKLIST from NVC for our AOS. I don't understand the corrections. Here are they:

    (For my husband's I-864 form)

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 13.a. You must include your 2013 tax and income information.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

(For both my father-in-law's and mother-in-law's I-864A forms)

Part 1 Information on the Household Member

[x] This section is incomplete. Please answer all questions completely. (If N/A, please indicated in the appropriate space).

[x] WXXXXX, PXXXX's income indicated on line 11 of the I-864A does not correspond to that shown on the total income line of the most recent tax return.

I don't understand, we submitted their 2013 W-2s to them, but it seems like they're asking for the 2013 Federal Income Tax Returns. They haven't filed yet, and even if they have already, won't the 2013 ITR's be available AFTER April 2014? My in-laws submitted copies of their ITR's for the most recent tax years, 2012, 2011 and 2010, coz they already have their ITRs for those years. Please help us! Thanks!

    (CR1)

hi marie & curt, thank you for sharing your checklist from nvc here. we also received checklist from nvc on feb 28 and the sad thing is they rejected the i864 ez they want us to submit the i864. good thing you share about 2013 tax 'cause we will use the 2013 tax so we dont have problem with this it seems nvc wants 2013 tax and luckily my husband filed already on feb 26. thank you marie & curt am hoping we are done with this. its so stressful.

  7. Hello,

I just want to ask if there's a CFO office in the airport. I am already done with the seminar and already have a certificate. My flight is on Saturday 6am and I might only have my passport tomorrow. So just in case I get it tomorrow and too late to go to CFO office in Quirino, can I get the CFO stamp at the airport?

hello sunkissed, i called cfo the other day because i was asking about the sticker thing, the one that i talked with told me that if you go to the cfo in the airport you can get your sticker only on the following day cause they need to call up the cfo where you attended seminar if you really have the attendance on the seminar they said its better you go straight to the cfo office so you can get right away the sticker. to be sure you try to call them CFO NAIA OFFICE 02 879 5685

  8. Thank you for the post iamatemple I have a question what does document id and document isuue mean?

    Hi irish73,

You just fill out the Ds260 or do you still need to submit police clearance, birth certificate and such things?

hello mich after you pay the iv bill $230 you print the document cover sheet and send to nvc together with the civil documents the nso birth certificate and photocopy, nso marriage contract and photocopy, photocopy of bio page of passport, 2 pcs photo passport size with white background and your name, bdate and nvc case number written at the back, nbi clearance the green form (travel usa purpose) and mine i just send also my police clearance. then once its paid the ds260 is available for you to fill up, for me its hard cause i have lots places i lived since i was 16 and lots of company i worked for the last ten years. review it many times before you submit cause once its submitted its hard to correct it.

  9. Hell vj members

Am at work today i got a lil extra time to check my emails then i look three cases and i got an interview this march 3 on behalf for my wife and my two kids. wow soon i need to fly to philippines by next week then..thanks god and to all fellow journey members ..wish all the rest your case will be heard soon goodluck

hello dens if you dont mind me asking when was your case complete in the nvc?

  10. AOS and my NBI clearance was missing.

why it's missing? did you send it separately or you send it together with the IV supporting documents. Am worried here cause I sent my NBI clearance alone cause I did not include it in the IV supporting documents cause am thinking its only police clearance and when I read here in visajourney some got a checklist because of nbi so I sent right away my NBI clearance without waiting a checklist. Am hoping my NBI clearance will not get lost.

  11. Hi All,

Sorry to jump in on this topic one but does this mean that once the DS-260 has been completed and submitted online it can't be edited or viewed unless you contact the NVC with a mistake?

I know that when the form is incomplete it can be returned to for completion/reviewing.

yes once ds 260 is submitted it cant anymore be edited if its incomplete you can still edit but once its submitted and shown completed cant anymore be edited thats what happen to me i reviewed many times i did not notice my mistake until i browse it the following day. whewww!

  12. Even in a single digit was putting incorrect it will cause of the delay.. no matter How small or big mistake..

In my experience about total gross and total income 《 pay attention to this part make sure you put in the correct #

Not only one has just mentioned above but in every single question should be if these question does not apply to you or to whom always remember do not leave it blank (put N/A). might they think of it you forgot or you skip the question.

I agree with you. whew! thats what happen to our aos also we forgot to put n/a on permanent mailing address if different from current address. am hoping that aos will be ok cause we give all the annual income supported with documents and summary of the annual income.

  13. I called the NVC today and I was told that we can make the correction at the interview. I feel relieved and at the same time, I'm afraid my husband won't be able to pass the interview but I believe he can make it, we'll just keep on praying. Good luck to us guys and thanks so much again for your help smile.png

hi riznold hows your ds260 error, did you able to correct it during the interview cause i did a mistake too.

  14. About one week after I submitted my I 129f form I realized I make a mistake on the form. I called nvc to to get it corrected in hopes of preempting an RFE. They were able to fix it for me. About three or four weeks later I received a letter in the mail informing me that the changes to my application were made and accepted. I recommend that you call them since your form was recently submitted. They should be able to unlock your form online or a tier two officer should be able to make those corrections for you.

Thank you tiff@babs I asked my husband to call for me to the nvc, he called up the nvc and the operator of nvc told him its just minor error I can correct it during the interview. thanks again tiff& babs.

The NVC doesnt send rfes. They send checklists. This isnt cause for a checklist but as the other poster stated, call them and ask to correct your ds-260 or wait and inform the CO at the interview. I suggest trying to correct it sooner vs later.

thanks nlr for the advise, my husband already called up the nvc about my error and the nvc operator told him its just minor error I can correct it during the interview. thanks again nlr.
