  1. You might see my parents there tomorrow :P Upon reviewing the interview letter they sent us, the required documents they need to bring to the interview ... it says " Photocopies of civil documents" so I am hopeful it won't be asked and delays everything.. thanks for your reply...

Yeah we might see eachother tomorrow, what time your parents interview tomorrow? If the CO will ask the checklist and your parents dont have them, the CO will give them 211g form to comply what they asked.

and it depends to the CO if they will get their passport or return their passport with them.

  2. I am currently pissed with my brother whom I expected to prepare everything for my parents' interview which is tomorrow, Feb 2.Upon reviewing the checklist with him I found out that they don't have birth certificate and marriage certificate available for my mom.Even though I've been reminding them since last year to have it for interview, he said, He "thought" they still have it without checking....grrrr....When I submitted DS 260 online and sent all the civil documents to NVC, I forwarded them originals, is there a chance that US Manila Embassy will not ask anymore civil documents during interview?Anyone? Please.. thanks in advance.

Its also my interview schedule date tomorrow february 2,2015 at 6:15 in the morning.

Eventhough you submitted all originals documents to NVC, the usem consul may or maynot ask some documents, so theres 50/50 chances manila embassy will ask or not ask.

Anyways just hoping the consul will not ask those documents anymore.

  3. Try calling uscis, thats what we did. First notice always send to you 3 to 10 days. Please call uscis.

Hi - we filled our I-130 January 3rd and I saw my check was cashed the following week in Chicago. Now it's getting to the end of March and my husband hasn't recieved a NOA1 at all.

We can't check the status of it since we don't have a number (that I guess you get with the NOA1).

Is this normal processing time? I thought people got the NOA1 right away?

Thank you for the help! This is probably easy to answer, but I'm still confused on the exact process durations.

  4. what was the date that your package arrived and was signed for at the lockbox?

We sent out our packet last february 18,2014 at phoenix az lockbox. Was delivered and signed by a uscis agent named D. Vanarsdale on the 19th of feb.

  5. Just relax and wait a couple of weeks.....it takes some time for them to put your case into the system after it arrives there..... Sometimes you will see that your check is cashed even before you get a NOA1 email. Definitely don´t send another copy....I am sure that within a short period of time you will receive your case number and start checking the USCIS site every 5 minutes like the rest of us (also it can take a few weeks for your case number to be active on the USCIS website even once you receive your NOA1)!

    good luck.....and patience :)

Thank you kaelabelle, its been 24 days we sent out our packet. This process needs a longggg patient goodness....all i just want is the first notice from uscis because its an indication were on the line.

  6. Hey guys,

We email the lockbox regarding our l-30 packet. And its been 5 days we got no reply from them. So we decided to call the USCIS and the agent on the phone said they dont have our papers in their system. How could this be if it was delivered and signed? :-(

We cant send two copies, right? It might lead to serious problem to our petition.

Any postive inputs for us is appreciated.

    Thank you.

  7. Of course it's dreadful what happened there. No-one would wish that on anyone. But take a look at this screencap from VJ's own timeline. Granted, it's entirely possible these timelines aren't filled in accurately, but they reflect waiting times between NOA1 and NOA2 of anywhere from zero days to several weeks. Compare this to waits of over a year for some of the rest of us.

Don't imagine that folks in the Philippines are the only ones in dire straits or deserving special treatment.

I see your screencap, yeah your right so speedy, i wish im one of them.. Anyways lets all be patient and hoping all of us february filers of Cr1 / lr1 will be granted soon.congratularions for those who recieved their NOA2 already. God bless us all

  8. Still nothing on ours...it is frustrating that it has not been signed for as of yet..no notice,no text,no email no check cashed and its been over two weeks .Trying to stay positive :-)

We both have in the same situation.. Its been 10 days since we sent out form l-130. As of now No email notification verifying they review our petition . We havent receive our first NOA from the USCIS yet.

Cheer up maybe this month of march is our month. I read some post some filers receive thier NOA1 30 days later.

just be patient and ask the guidance of our Lord

    God answers in 3 ways

He says Yes and gives you what you want,

He says No and gives you something better,

He says wait and gives you the best.
