  1. Hi Everyone,

Just want to say thanks for all the help. After the long waiting, the status has changed to Issued on CEAC website.

The case was in Islamabad, Pakistan. So hopefully my wife will get her passport within a month and will be here with me shortly.

Any one else get approved this month and if so how long did it take for you to receive your passport??

Thanks again for everyone that help and may God get everyone though this process fast.

    Regards

  2. Hi Everyone,

My wife went for her interview on 03-20-2014 and was given a white paper that said 221g. They asked for joint sponsor. I had my brother help and had the documents sent to my wife. Then she took them to the carrier service.

The embassy updated the status on 04-22-2014 and it says it's in Administrative Processing.

Any idea how long it takes?

It's been over a year since I've applied for her visa. Just tired of waiting :(

  4. Hello,

My wife had gone for her interview on March 20th and was denied visa bc she didn't have affidavit of support. I've got a joint sponsor and have going to send it the documents to her. I was told she has to take it to AEG Travel Services / American Express Travel Services and then AEG will send it to the Islamabad Embassy.

Any idea how long they take sending it over to the embassy and then how long the embassy will take to review the documents?

    Thanks in advance

    Khalil

  5. thanks for the quick replies..

i recently started my job in November.. I had sent a job letter. I guess i'll just get a joint sponsor. I also just checked the status online..

    what is this??

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

I guess the case is in AP.. it says several weeks.. any one know a rough time??
  6. Hi..

    1. How long it will take after i sent the requested documents?

    2. Does this mean she is in AP?

    3. If not in AP, does it mean she still has a chance of going to AP?

  7. Hi All,

I'm very upset today. After waiting a full year and 12 days. My wife finally had her interview today and they denied her visa. They gave her a document that said "Your petitioners income is not enough to sponsor you. A joint sponsor is needed." It was asking to send a recent i-864 from a qualifying sponsor. They also kept her passport.

    So my questions are?

    1. How long will it take once i submit the affidavit of support form and necessary documents?

    2. Why did they keep her passport?

    2. Does it mean i have to go through the whole filing process again?

    Thanks,

    Khalil
