  1. Hello Everybody,  I got the same notice as many that my case was transferred to our local office and then last week I received a letter advising my case was transferred to Nebraska.  This is puzzling (read worrisome) as 1) Im located in Florida 2) I filed for removal of conditions in Nov 2016! . I have called the CSC and they could not give me a reason as to why this transfer was done, nor how long will it take to have any other news. Nebraska does not have any info on timeles for  I-751 filing.  My inquiry was escalated and I am still waiting for an answer.  Anybody on the same boat? any advice?  Thanks in advance!

  2. Hello,

I am currently waiting for the removal of conditions on an expired green card. I have a stamped on my Canadian passport.

I have to travel to Brazil for work at the end of the month and I also have a Colombian passport. Will it be possible for me to enter Brazil with the Colombian passport while coming back to the US with the Canadian passport?

I am asking because I already had a lot of issues entering the country with my stamped passport, when I travel for work and  without my husband. My last secondary check lasted almost 2 hours. The officer was not familiar with this "extension stamp" in lieu of a green card.

thanks in advance to anyone that can advise on this or has been in similar situations

  3. Dear fellow VJ's

Has somebody worked for a foreign company while waiting for AOS?

I have read numerous cases on this same forum that people intend to do so, but I would like to know if somebody actually have done this, sucessfully

I am a Canadian and when I have advised my company that I was moving to USA to marry and live with my fiance, my boss told me they want to keep me at least for a while. I already work from home and I will continue to have my canadian bank account.

I understand that since I am not taking the work of an US citizen and if I declare my earning in my next US tax, I will be ok.

Has somebody had the same experience?

Also, what do you say in the form G-325 A when they ask for your work history? do you add an additonal page explaining the situation?

thanks in advance for sharing your experince and for any advise you can provide me.

    Best Regards,

    Joma

  4. Hi,

Thank you for replying. I appreciate it.

I have called the embassy and they told me they could not get me any guarantees to have the interview at a later date.

However, I have contacted an inmigration lawyer and he has advised me that canadians can enter the US with the passport, without using the K1 visa. I just need to advise the officer, I am just doing a business trip and I will coming back on X date and that I plan to use my K 1 visa by XX date.

Just wanted to give the info, in case anybody had the same question

    cheers

  5. Dear all,

After waiting weeks, we finally got a K1 interview appointment today! I was expecting an interview for May or so (I-797 is valid until May 2nd), but I've got it by the end of March. These should be good and exciting news, except I work for a canadian filliate of an US company and I need to travel to US frequently. I am booked for 3 meetings already, during March /April.

Reading other posts, I have realized I will not be able to enter the US without using my K1 visa. The problem is that I need to be able to travel to USA if I want to keep my job, and I need to keep my job at least until I am able to sell my condo, car, etc. I dont have any family in Montreal, therefore I dont have anybody to help me do this during my absence :(

I was wondering if I can ask for a deferred visa during my interview? Has somebody done this in the past? how does it work? ...say for example I will be ready to move in early July. How can I contact the embassy to ensure I get my K1 visa for that date.

Thanks to all in advance for your help. Your responses are highly appreciated

    God Bless

  6. Hello Ivy,

I am having the same issue. I have traveled to the USA almost every 2 months for the past 6 or 7 years, because I work for a company with US HQ. Additionally, i have been visiting my fiance quite often for the past 9 months. So far, I have the exact dates for the past 5 visits and that only brings me to Oct 2013.

Do they really expect us to detail all the visits we have done to the US throughout our lives? I dont even have my old passports :(

I was thinking to fill out the info for the past year, since I am a recurrent traveler.

    thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    JOMA
