  1. OMG that is awesome. And thank you so much for the compliment. Now I know for Kingston you guys have a special unique way to get your Visa.

You are all registered at DHL correct And personally I wouldn't buy a ticket until Hubby says I have Visa i hand.

Dwheels this process is totally new for me. In 2004 I petitioned for my mother and the process took 11 months then. This one took approximately 2 yrs. I also agree with you as far as buying his ticket. I told him to take his bag with him when he goes to pick it up and then head straight to the airport......LoL

  2. I guess I wasn't paying attention. I wrote in the wrong forum. Anyways, Dwheels, I want to say thank you for all your support. My husband had his interview in Kingston, Jamaica on 10/6/15 and was placed on administrative processing. On 11/2 I decided to check the status of the case and saw ISSUED. My husband and I are so excited that this visa journey is over. Anyone knows how long would it take for us to have the visa in hand? I'm so ready to purchase his ticket.

  3. What did the white slip of paper say? I guess they have some more administrative wok to do. Which is normal with your embassy being so backlogged they might not have finished their investigation, or waiting for a report o something Just a waiting thing now. Good thing they kept passport.

CEAC PORTAL shows administrative processing. CO is concerned about my name change before I got married. She told my husband that she has to do some more US check. She also asked him if he has ever been to the US and was he ever arrested in the US?

  4. The CEAC Status shows Administrative Processing. I'm not sure what else they could be checking? My husband told me that they were concern about my name. I had a Deed Poll done when I was 15 to change my name from my step-father's name to my biological father's name. I had submitted a copy of the deed poll with all the other documents when I 1st petitioned for my husband. Also when I applied for my citizenship, it was submitted to USCIS back in 2004. My military records should also show the changes. Well I guess we just have to wait some more for them to do their investigation.

  5. My husband just completed his interview in Kingston Jamaica. He was not told if it was approved or not. They kept his passport, gave him a white slip and told him if they don't call him, he should receive his visa through DHL. I'm feeling nervous and unsure of what does that mean. Some of the questions they asked him were: Have you ever been locked up, here or abroad? Where did you meet your wife? Have you ever travelled before?

    Any suggestion my VJers?

  6. To all my Jamaicans awaiting interview....Andrews Memorial Hospital seems to be the only place that is currently conducting medicals. My husband's medical is scheduled for 9/22. We were told to bring $15240 for registration and an extra $15000 for possible vaccines. We were also told it is a lengthy process and to expect being there all day. Good luck to everyone awaiting interviews. Dwheels...thank you for your time and information. Our interview is 10/06 and we asked that everyone keep us in your prayers. Thank you.

  7. Did you receive a response back when you contacted the president or his administration?

When the case was at USCIS....I received a call from someone from his administration. I had also sent a fax to my Senator and they also responded. I'm not sure who contacted USCIS at the time but my paperwork started moving. I sent an email to his administration yesterday pertaining to NVC and I will be sending a fax to my senator by the end of the week.
