  1. Hello everyone,

My wife and I just got married a couple of weeks ago and have just recently been freed up to get the next step going in this process. She arrived on a K-1 Visa the 29 of July and they told us that we have until the 26th of October to get married. We got married on the 24th of September and my question is, what is the next step. Does anyone know which forms and documents I need to send in now to get her status adjusted and permission to work? are there any other papers that I need to fill out as well? Please help if you know Thanks.

  2. My Fiance just arrived last tuesday, and we are having a little bit of trouble on how to go about getting her a social security number and getting permission to work temporarily. Does anyone have any info or help on how to go about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thank you

  3. Hey everyone.

I got e-mail from Embassy of Buenos Aires telling me I'll have my visa and package at the DHL office between Monday- Wednesday :) I was starting to get worried with all this backlog thing, but fortunately it only took few extra days for me.

    Anyway, my question is...

I have a flight to Newark with scale in Atlanta (1:30' h scale). Where do I need to do the immigration process, in Atlanta during the scale or in Newark? How long did it take for you?

Also, I have my vaccinations list from my asigned Dr. He told me I only needed to get one, the Influenza, which I got some days ago in a public clinic, and they put a stamp and seal on the Dr's prescription for the vaccine. So I have the list that he gave me, plus this paper that says I have put the one I had left. Should I put this along with the X-rays envelope and present it like that?

    Thanks in advance! ^_^

    Hugs

  4. We are just making some last minute preparations. Our flight will be leaving at 1:20a.m from Lima to Salt Lake City. My fiance has her passport with the visa inside, her sealed envelope with everything inside and our point of entry will be in Atlanta. Is there anything we need to remember ? and does anyone have any last minute advice that would help? thanks.

  5. One is allowed to be in the US Citizens immigration line with their fiancee or spouse.

Having to endure a Secondary Inspection is done on a case-by-case basis for whatever reason(s) a CBP officer decides it is warranted. That is not something you should be concerned with really.

my Fiance and I are traveling from Lima to Salt Lake City. Her POE will be in Atlanta. So we can pass through immigrations together? and do we need to bring anything other than her passport, sealed envelope, and vaccination records?

  6. What do you mean her vaccination record in hand?

You should have 2 copies of her vaccination records- one in the sealed envelope handed over at POE, and your own copy which was given to you by the doctor at the medical, which you need for AOS.

Yes. We have the copy in the sealed envelope and the one that we need for AOS that was given to us by the doctor. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks

  7. Last week, July 17th, my fiance was finally approved for her K1 visa in Lima. Today we went to DHL and picked up the packet and also bought a plane ticket for next week. A big thanks to all of you who have helped answer questions and help us get things ready for the interview. Those of you still waiting at any point of the process, you are always in our prayers and we hope things work out as fast as possible.

  8. My Fiance has her interview coming up and we are struggling with the evidence portion of the paperwork. We have hundreds of pages of Whatsapp, Facebook, and Skype conversations, along with pictures, visa stamps, etc. our problem is that the only way that we have found to print off facebook, skype, and whatsapp conversations is through copying and pasting them to word documents. Is this acceptable for the interview, and if not, what can we do?

  9. On May 19th I received a notification from the USCIS stating that our Petition for the I-129F Finance Visa has been approved. Before then I noticed that there were a few small errors on the forms. My fiances middle name was accidentally put connected with her first name on one part, but every other part and document has it as her middle name (including her passport). I am doing this through an attorney and she has been doing the paper work for me. I also just noticed today that it showed me working at a two gas stations at the same time 2 years ago. What I meant to put was that my gas station converted into another one , therefore I left that job. Nevertheless, our evidence is solid. We have a ton of pictures together. I have been back to visit her 3 times and will be going down for a fourth time in a week. My question is that if there are a couple of minute clergy errors on a certain form, would that cause a denial of her k-1 visa at her interview with the UaS. Embassy in Peru? I would really appreciate any help that anyone could offer. Literally my life savings and everything has gone into getting her to the U.S. any insight would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you
