  1. Hello. I had my naturalization interview on July 24. I passed it. The same day my case status online updated 3 times. first, "WE APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION", second update was "YOU ATTENDED YOUR INTERVIEW" and last update was "WE SCHEDULED YOUR NATURALIZATION CEREMONY". However, i never received the Oath Taking Ceremony letter in the mail and no document was uploaded to my online account. And today (Aug. 21) i got an update on my online account saying i missed my naturalization ceremony. I doubt they really sent a letter for my oath taking ceremony. Has this ever happened to anyone? What is the next step will be? Im concerned i'll missed my rescheduled oath taking ceremony again and ill have to restart the process all over again.

probably best not to because they will have to transfer your file between states - it may be messy - also keep in mind to change your license back to CA and also do an AR11 Change of Address form as soon as you move back.

You will be asked for a CA license at the interview...

Yes but im just gonna stay in CA for like 9 months, if i move first before filing i have to wait 3 months again, i think its best to just do it now. I didnt change my license when i moved to tx so i still have ca license. The 3 months residency requirement is only for the state i am filig right and not to the state im moving?

No. You have to live in California 3 months prior to your filing day. It means you can go back to California, live for 3 months then apply.

Thank you. That means i can apply sometime in May. I am also planning to take a vacation overseas for two months after i moved back in california can i still send my n-400 application on May? Does the vacation count on the 3 month residency rule?

    hi

    exactly,

you will have to wait, move back, have a current address in California for at least 3 months

after 3 months of living in California, you can apply for citizenship

  5. Hello, i have a question regarding the three month residency requirement. Im currently in texas now and planning to move back in california (my residency for more than a year before i moved to texas) in February. I am planning to submit my n400 application once i moved back in california. Do i qualify for the 3 month residency since i have lived for a year in same california address in 2014 to 2015? Or i have to start a 3 month residency again before submitting my n-400? Thank you in advance.

  6. Hello. I am a spouse of an active duty, i am applying naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US Citizen. I am not filing my naturalization under any military naturalization categories do i have to send my application to the one assigned to my state or i still have to send it to the service center for Military filing?

we're on the same boat. My son's medical report is not yet there when we had our interview last May 8. We were approved too but my son's case is in AP and mine is still Ready for interview. No visa issued until now. :(

  8. Hopefully they will issued our visa the soonest.im also losig my patience. But why did your aon's medical is late?did your son undergo more test in st lukes? Iv read a topic same as you here and it took a month for them to issued.but the co did the review on your son's medical?

i dont know why his medical report is late. I was so pissed when i called st lukes cos i found out that mine was submitted on May 5. We had our medical exams done together. He had no problem during his medical exam. He didnt undergo any additional test. In fact, he only had few exams cos he is just a toddler. And now we're in this kind of situation because they didnt submit it on time. The co havent reviewed his medical report yet thats why our visa's arent issued yet. Our case was updated when the CO received the medical reports and whenever i am calling USEM, my case is updating. Ugh a month? thats too long but we are close to it already. They're really testing our patience. Why did they request for another joint sponsor when the NVC already reviewed and approved your docs? They're really unpredictable.

I was interviewd on may 19 an got 221g they need a joint sponsor and i did provide it on may 22 may status was updated but still administrative processing . And i sent my 221g docs to usem and ghey received on 27 and on 27 my status was apdated but still administrative processing.anyone here their case was updated many times and got their visa? How long dis u wait ur visa to be issued? Please help

Hi. I wanna share my story to you. Me and my son had our interview last May 8. The Consul Officer told me that we were approved but will be in AP because my son's medical report's not yet submitted to them that time. She said there's nothing to worry about because sometimes it really take times to submit the Medical reports to them. She told me to just wait our visa to be delivered. We didnt get any 221g. On May 12, i called st lukes and found out that my son's medical report was still there, i told them to submit it asap and they did. May 14, the consul officer already received the medical report. And until now our visas arent issued yet. Mine's still Ready For Interview my son is still in AP. Its been 3 weeks and im losing my patience already. ? Lets just pray will get ours issued sooner than soon.

  10. hello. Me and my son had our interview last May 8 too. We were told that we're approved but will be in AP because my son's Medical Report's not yet submitted to them. The consul officer told me, there's nothing to worry about and just wait for our visa to be delivered. We didn't get any 221g letter. May 12, i decided to call St Lukes to ask about my son's medical report. I found out that his medical report was still there, and mine was submitted on May 5. I was so pissed that time cos why my medical report was submitted before the interview and my son's wasnt? He had no problem with his medical exam, in fact he only had few exams because he is just a toddler. I told them to submit the medical report as soon as possible and im glad they did submit it later that day. March 14, the consular officer who interviewed us received the Report already. And until now, my case status is still Ready for Interview and my sons' still AP. Hopefully we'll have our visa issued this week. Waiting sucks.

  11. Congrats xxxmichy , I saw your post and decided to call and got CC. Thank you for posting, I was so nervous but you gave me hope :) I am not hoping for May b/c the rep told me that they are done scheduling May interview. Anyway, I will take June :)

yay! congrats to you too! I dont really have plans to call because im afraid i might get a not-so-good update again on my case but decided to give it a try and was really happy i did. uhm, i think it all depends on the embassy, maybe Manila Embassy is not yet done scheduling May Interviews thats why the rep told me that they are still working for it. Im still hoping that i'd get a May Interview, but early June isnt bad at all :) Goodluck.
