Just joined the waiver club last week. AOS EAD/AP submitted in March and quickly received the EAD/AP in 6 weeks.
Is there a process for expediting the AOS?

So as an update the 90 day wait for her to work didn't set well with us. So she got a job offer after we got married and I submitted that offer letter with our AOS/EAD/AP paperwork and called them numerous times to get it expedited (the EAD). They scheduled her biometrics and just after that she got her EAD and AP approved. 4 weeks total turn around time and it would have been quicker by a week and a half if they had an earlier biometrics appointment slot.
Complacency doesn't work, if you want the expedite just go for it. I'm sorry to see here that everyone in this thread told me to sit and wait 90 days and have her go volunteer...

The Lady and I crossed into the U.S. today on her K-1 and it was a smooth process at 1am :-). We were the only ones there and they got us in and out in about 10 minutes. At 9:30am we went to the Social Security office and they said the turn around time for her to get her social is about 3 days right now in the mail. (Just showed them her Passport/Visa and printed I-94 from the website.) We were in and out of the SS office in about 20 minutes mainly due to a bit of a line.
Thanks for all the help and advice everyone :-)

Thanks for all the advice and yeah she has been networking in her field and being productive, but there isn't much that substitutes actually being in your field of study day in day out. She doesn't have anything to clean lol but thanks for that :-)

Thank you everyone, if there are any other ideas as well I thank you in advance too!

So basically it seems that she will be bored for 3 months before she can start working. That's a lot of TV time.... I'm really amazed that there isn't a quicker / simpler way, even if it's just temporary.

Just tell the entire truth, probably pictures and statements from your ex-wife will help (if your relationship w/ her is good) and plenty of texts, emails, FB, What's App, etc between you and her sister, plus attestations from friends and family. Even w/ all that you will still be grilled. It will be a bad process but I think you can get through it if you just be very open and honest.

We didn't have any wedding plans set in stone but we did have a very nice engagement party which probably in their eyes pulls more weight due to it being a very public announcement of our intent to marry. We included pictures from the event in our package and didn't have any hang ups at all getting our K-1 approved.

I gave them my 2013 this past week and we got our k-1 approved. I brought my 2012 & 2011 but they only needed the most recent. Spent 5 hours at the consulate in Montreal and they only brought us up twice for a total of 5 min. Seemed like they were happy to see the 2013 as she said "Oh great you have 2013"

So I'm a U.S. Citizen and the lady is Canadian. We just got approved for our K-1 this week (Montreal consulate) and she is waiting in Toronto for it to come in the mail w/ her passport. We have not started on any social security number or EAD yet obviously. What's the quickest route for her to be able to work after she comes to the states on the K-1 visa. She doesn't want to just sit on the couch watching TV all day long.
