Im not doing the F2A visa from India but when we submitted final documents to NVC in November, we were told it could take up to 6 weeks to process them. It took 10  we called at the 6 week mark and no one had looked at our paperwork yet. They submitted it to a supervisor. I then called every week to see if there was progress. Finally 4 weeks after the 6 week mark we were approved. It then took another 3 weeks for an interview date to be scheduled.

I would call right at the 60 day mark and inquire about your case. I had two at NVC for my stepsons and when we hit the 6 week mark (which is what we were told) I called and found out they had not looked at the cases yet. I was told they would submit to a supervisor. I then called every week until they were finally processed 1 month after the 6 week deadline. Keep calling  best of luck.

$420 2x - for I-130

$120 1 affidavit of support

$325 -2x payments of visa application

$165 for green card

total of near 2000 and that's not with the medical visits and such.

 

Now questions, can his faither also be an affidavit of support? If yes, do we submit it at the same time to save time?
Also with these forms all submitted at once do we still have to adjust status once we move there? Or does the green card come to our Canadian residence and everything will be ready? 

Do we know process times if I say submitted in the next couple of months? (I do not understand the charts that were on this website)

You may want to double check those fees. I was just on the USICS website looking at the fees for something else and a number of fees have changed effective December 23, 2016. The fee I was looking at for something else almost doubled.

Just got case status update that our case was approved and card is in the mail!!!

when do you guys think are we going to start seeing approvals for march? I keep checking february's thread and they are not receiving any either. The last I saw approved was for a person whose file was received by USCIS califrnia on 1/8/16

I wonder if we have some chance in August or am I just dreaming haha

I just checked the Feb 2016 feed and it shows 3 CSC filers who have received their GC's. Two who filed at the beginning of the month and one that filed on Feb 22. My guess is still a few months out before we see some coming in. Maybe August/September.

If I wanted to add a document to our file shortly after receiving the I-797C BEFORE receiving an RFE for this document, would I just make a copy of the I-797C and send it with the document and maybe a letter asking for the document to be added to the account?

Any guidance on how to add a document would be much appreciated.

We sent in I-130 paperwork for my stepsons yesterday. We used a very original marriage certificate knowing we would eventually need an archived one from the country of origin. We had been in the process of getting that one for 6 months and thought we would be waiting several more for it so we decided to send the paperwork in with the other marriage certificate. Well....somehow we miraculously received the archived version today...irony right.

My question is, should I wait until they ask for it to send it in, or once I get the receipt numbers should I send it in?

I am sending in two applications. They are for my step-sons. Should I send them in separate envelopes or can I put them in the same envelope separated out with their own respective checks?

I am applying for my husbands 2 sons who are currently in Haiti. He is named as the father on their birth certificates. I was about to send in the initial I-130 paperwork when I came across some info on illegitimate children. He was never married to their mother. For the initial paperwork, do I need to send in anything other than their birth certificates with his name on them? She is totally fine with them coming to live here with us and I believe she would write a statement to that effect if needed. Just wondering what's needed for this first step. TIA

Have you checked the case status online? It usually will say something about biometrics scheduled etc. in case you think you missed the appointment letter.

Otherwise, it usually depends on your location. Perhaps you live in an area with a long queue of people who need to be fingerprinted and they haven't been able to schedule you yet.

It was my understanding that the case # would be identified on the letter for biometrics. Since I don't have that yet, I don't have a case #. Is that incorrect? Is there another way to look up our case without that number?

When did you send your application?

Sent it March 15 received NOA1 March 21. Others with the same dates have their biometrics apt next week.

I am seeing that people who sent in their applications the same day or after me have already gotten their biometrics date. I have only received my NOA1. Should I be concerned? Their biometrics dates are coming up next week and I have not gotten anything. Should I call? Who do I call? TIA

I think you have a lot of evidence. Maybe provide copies of your drivers licenses to show that you both have the same address.

Any joint credit cards?

The wills and powers of attorney aren't necessary at this point. But, they are good things to have for life in general.

I can definitely put in the DL copies.

We do not have any joint CC's. I only have 1 (which I had before marriage) we don't want to get into CC debt so we have decided we don't need any others. I will explain that in the letter I am attaching.

I am compiling all the info to send in for the ROC for my husband. Here is a list of what I have so far.

• Copy of 2014 and 2015 joint tax returns (IRS transcripts)
• Copies of jointly held checking and savings accounts from September 2014-Present date
• Three joint lease agreements from September 2014-Present
• Copy of forms from my employer showing husband as the beneficiary on a group life and accidental death policy.
• Title of joint ownership of two vehicles
• Joint bill of sale for one vehicle (purchasing a vehicle)
• Joint auto insurance ID cards from August 2014-present
• Joint vehicle registration for two vehicles from August 2014-present
• Joint rental insurance
• 2 affidavits of support
• Letter from me explaining why we don't have joint health insurance (both companies pay for it so we don't have joint), explanation behind why we don't own a home, have children yet, (we are also applying for visa's for his children still living abroad),
• Pictures from the last 2+ years.

We don't yet have wills or POA's yet. Our date for submitting is 3/14/16. Should we try to get these done before then? Or work on them now and turn them in if more is asked for?

Besides this, we don't have anything else with both names on it. For some strange reason, when we started new utility accounts when we moved I couldn't get his name put on the accounts along with my name (something about his SSN being too new....strange I still don't know why).
