  1. I was looking for my name and was surprised my info isn't on here. I thought I updated it a long time ago! Haha

I finally have some progress. On April 19th, they said they scheduled me for an interview. I will wait a week or 2 for that letter.
I have a question if anybody can help me out.

    1. The additional documents I need to bring (i.e proof that our marriage is bonafide, etc), will it just be statements after I
submitted the N400 (May 2017- April 2018) or do we go all the way back to 2014? I am filing based on the 3 year rule so I guess
I need to bring plenty of evidence.

    Thank you!

All documents showing the termination of previous marriages of both you and your spouse must be submitted with the N400.

Did you use this N400 Document Checklist? https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/article/attachments.pdf

Since you are applying based on your 3-year marriage to a US citizen spouse, only documents pertaining to your relationship since you became a US permanent resident are relevant to your application. The only thing that matters on your list of documents is the 3 years jointly filed tax transcripts. Bring the rest to the interview but I doubt they would even ask for those.

    Good luck!

Thank you! I totally missed the checklist document.

  3. I am sending my N400 documentation soon and I hope you guys help me check what I am about to send on 4/29 or probably 5/1/2017. I am just in the greater Phoenix area and applying based on the 3 year rule.

Other than the required n400 documents, copy of my green card and marriage certificate, payment and notification I will also attach the ff:

    1. Joint bank and credit card statements; (every quarter from marriage)

    2. Our lease when we were in the Philippines

3.Insurance policies (car, health, motorcycle, my 401 k ,his retirement showing each other as beneficiaries) (will send copies of insurance cards too)

    4. 3 years worth of tax transcripts

    5. some photos from marriage to present and probably some hotel reservations and flights for the travels we took

    6. affidavits from my stepchildren

We really have not bought anything since I came here and we can't have children. Any other suggestions? Do I send my husband's divorce papers now too or do you guys suggest just bringing them to the interview? Do I send a heavy packet like my removal of conditions or is that an overkill?  Never took a vacation to the Philippines yet.

Thank you so much for the help!

I am working on documents for citizenship and plan to send soon.Try to schedule InfoPass within 30 days of your extension expiration date to get stamp then you can travel.

    Yes waiting sucks.

Will definitely get that stamp before going anywhere. If it is for interview we are waiting on then we will probably bring a Uhaul with us with all additional evidence since we filed. Lol

Shall we compare our cases to see why it is taking so long for us to get decisions?

    1. How many interviews did you have to attend initially to obtain your conditional green card?

    2. Did you receive any request for additional evidence (RFE) during the removal of conditional green card process?

    3. Which country are you from?

    My answers

    1. Once

    2. Negative

    3. Thailand

    1. Once (DCF)

    2. No RFE

    3. Philippines

Tell me about waiting. I am so fed up with it,I have been waiting for 17 months. I have also contacted Senator of my state and nothing happened. My ROC application is sitting on a shelf and collecting dust haha that is what I think is happening.

Because if they looked at it and needed additional info I would have received something by now. It also makes me super mad when I see that people who filled after me many of them already received approval. Like why are they choosing randomly and not by date. I dont get who manages this whole process, while on their site they keep updating the dates as if like working on application received in a certain month. Mine is way past their processing time. When I call it is always the same exact answer, they literally read to me over the phone what my online case status says. I even spoke with the higher up manager and he was as useless as any other.

Some serious change is needed at USCIS.

Oh wow, I'm sorry about that. I wish yours get some movement soon. Did you send documents for your naturalization yet? Because I think that's what I will do instead. I still check my status every single working day but I guess whoever my caseworker is is on leave. LOL That's what I tell myself. I am not planning on going out of the country anytime soon but my fingers are crossed that nothing will happen to my family back home while I am waiting for this green card. I don't want to hear any bad news back home mid April when my extension expires 5/2 and it takes two weeks to get an infopass appointment. Waiting sucks. I did DCF so I am a little spoiled and this is the first time any process ever take this long.

They are very slow and process is random. Some gets approved quicker than the other. I don't know what's the mechanism behind it. From what I have read on here, there are still people who have filed the same time as you who are still waiting for further action from USCIS (Vermont and California). I have tried to do both-requested help from a senator and also Ombudsman request, both resulted in generic replies from USCIS that they are still working on the case.

I just don't think conditional removal is a priority for USCIS as the immigrant is still a valid alien who is able to still work and travel during the review process.

    Be patient ...

Thank you guys. To wait is the only thing I can do for now anyway. And preparing for Naturalization of course. :)

  7. I filed the 29th of April (CSC), NOA date 5/2/2016. At this point, I'd be happier getting an RFE than nothing at all. I came here on a DCF, I wonder if that's the reason why mine takes so long. I submitted a case inquiry back in November and got a generic response. Do you guys think a congressional inquiry will make it any faster?  Or maybe I just need to be more patient. Thank you.

  8. (The status of this service request is:

On 11/20/2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Our records show that your Form I-751 is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.)

I think USCIS replied to all of us at the same time. Lol Their email went to my spam folder. At least now they know that we are getting a bit impatient and hopefully will work a little faster. If not, I'll just file for naturalization in April.

  10. I have some not so smart questions about filing. I hope you can help me:

    1. Is it ok if I put all documents in a Manila envelope before the packaging envelope? Do we label it or print something outside for them to see what it's for?

    2. Is it ok to use paper clips when organizing these documents (all bank statements in one paper clip, all amex statements in one, etc etc)

    3. I read somewhere that it's ok to use a highlighter just so they know what I am trying to point out in the documents, is this still ok?

    4. I can't remember if I ever have an ELIS account but everytime I try resetting the password, I would never get the password reset email. I remember I have been checking my green card delivery status at one point after coming herr through DCF. Do we really need one or can we just track the case online without getting an account? I have an extra email I can use but I don't want to open one yet in case they will send me instructions later.

5.USPS is the mail carrier of choice, right? Sending it thru first class or priority mail? or does it even matter?

Thank you all for reading. I am just freaking out over this. It's like 2014 all over again.

  11. My husband literally added me as an auth user to all his credit cards(amex, discover, cap one etc).Really helped me build my score then after a couple of months I was approved for a store card then started applying for other cards too.Fast forward to today,I now have my own amex, discover, cap one and higher credit score than my husband, lol.Just watch out for utilization though. We keep it below 10% (people say below 30% is ideal) and never miss any payments.Good luck! :)

  12. Hubby and I went to bank of america sometime in september and made me a joint account holder.Bank only wanted my ssn and greencard.I was then added to all of his credit cards as an authorized user (discover, amex, capital one).Using my auth user card's info,I was able to open a store card in my name alone. My credit score is now higher than my hubby's lol.I also now have my very own amex, chase and capital one credit cards and added my husband on all of them (Helps with the utilization rate) Hubby has a decent score so it really helped me build my credit here all in about 6 months time.

  13. Been in the U.S since July 28 2014 and as of today,I have a 750 credit score, amex with $9500 limit,Cap One $3000,Chase $4000 and Macys $2500.I started out as an auth user of most of my husband's credit cards (amex, discover, cap one, credit one) which gave me a head start of a year of credit history.Discover denied my application because of credit history, lol.I also make sure my credit utilization is below 15% and of course paying on time is a must.I am still piggybacking on all of my husband's cards to increase my limit and improve utilization and he is also on my cards. No personal or car loans in my name yet but hopefully can buy a house next year.
