I got P4 interview letter today for Guangzhou.

I went over to UStraveldocs website to register but I`m not sure if I set up the delivery address successfully or not,

I printed out the printable version of a form with beneficiary`s name and UID (not sure what that is) but there is no gzo case number on it.

Other than that, the website also says the earliest appointment available is xxx, but NVC already set my appointment.

Confused... What else do I need to do on UStraveldocs website?

Then mail them the birth certificate right away to shorten the delay.

The exact thing happened to me. I didn't submit that because I thought I already did with USCIS. Did you do Electronic processing?

This happened to me. I couldn't log in to ceac and I called. They said that I got a new case number which starts with gzo. And with that number and old iin number I could log in again. I emailed everything to nvc. Then I called, they told me to file a birth certificate. IR5. I didn't submit this because I thought I already did this this with USCIS. And then I just emailed that over one month later after the first email just to be sure. Hopefully it won't delay it too much...

I emailed all the documents to NVC using the Electronic Processing at the end of January, called today, they changed my case from GUZ to GZO, told me it means that they touched my case, but still havent reviewed it yet, they got 2 months to review it so possibly Ill hear something at the end of April. I was wondering why end of April because that would be 3 months after I emailed the docs and they told me my date is February 28th. I guess that is the date when they changed my case to GZO. Guess changing it to GZO actually delayed my case by a month. And if theres a checklist, oh well, the wait...

Don't worry at all! Same exact thing happened to me. I called and they told me they review the ds260. They haven't review the docs yet. So disregard that checklist. When did u submit the documents?

how long where you able to get a case number from the time nvc got your case? just asking

I got it around Christmas 2014.

USCIS transfered the case in beginning of November. So about a month and half.

It's so hard to get a reply here nowadays...

Well, I called nvc, he said maybe it was just that they reviewed my ds260 which I'm not totally buying it. And told me to email over my birth certificate right away so it doesn't delay much. 20 days I guess.

Just wanted a different opinion...

Just read it again. There's an F on the left of i864 and petitioner's birth certificate.

And numbers like 2, 3, 6 on the left of birth certificate, passport, police certificate and marrige certificate.

Each document has a status in that checklist, whats their status?

Hello, I don't see a status by each document they r asking. No where says status on this email. It's just asking me to send these because they r "missing" ::: (

I just received an email from NVC about a month after emailing (electronic filing) them the financial and civil documents for my mom's ir5 visa.

In the email it's asking me to submit the missing documents, specifically passport page, birth certificate, i864 form, marrige paper, etc which I submitted all.

I don't know why it's asking me this, if they reviewed the documents they should have seen all the docs they r asking are all in there.

Also they r asking for my (petitioner)'s birth certificate which I didn't submit because I already did with USCIS. Would this be a problem?

I'm so worried about all this : (

I just emailed all the documents to NVC, I used one document cover sheet I received after I completed DS261 which has a checklist of all things needed to be filed to the NVC.

I just found out that there are other 2 document cover sheets, each for AOS and IV. Do I need to submit those too? I`m doing electronic filing.

Also I am not sure if I got the right DS260 confirmation page, can`t find it on ceac.

The one I got says immigrant visa alien registration application confirmation, and below it just says this confirms the submission of the application with name, date and case number, etc... and 2 barcodes on the bottom left and right, it looks like a picture, a screenshot.

Will work on getting the employment letter now.

I'm thinking maybe I'll wait until I file this year's tax and mail in the AOS package after. As this year's pay is higher. Lol

you are referring to the I-864 form? That is confusing as it clearly states in the instructions when using tax transcripts no w-2 are needed. only when sending in copy of tax returns are they require.

why will they need something with same info? A tax transcript is an official record from the IRS, while a copy of a tax return, they will need w-2 to verify the income.

You should call again and talk to another agent because that does not seem right

I was really confused. I asked him twice and he confirmed to me twice that tax returns are required and besides that, either the transcript or w2/1099s. lol

It`s so hard to get a hold with them, I can only have a chance if I call them at 4am Pacific time... west coast...

Guess I`m not gonna listen to him, I will just use one year tax transcript and employment letter and bank states as assets. That`s all.

I called the NVC for IV Bill and then I asked what should I file for the AOS package just to confirm what I thought I knew,

I thought if I provide the transcript from the IRS then w2 or 1099s are not required. But the agent told me, it's the tax returns that are required, and you can choose either transcript or W2, 1099 besides the required tax returns.

I'm really confused what should I file for AOS package now...

I'm preparing the aos package and I'm confused on the employment letter.

I'm going to ask my boss to write one for me. But should I ask him to write my last year's income that matches my tax return transcript last year or future approximate income? Since it's only January so I'm confused which number to have him write.

What I did (when I was sponsoring my wife for IR-1), I had sent 3 recent years' transcripts + last paystub (which showed year-to-date income).

You can do the same.

Since I was sending that paper work in August, I had to submit letter from my employer, indicating my current employment.

Also, I had to estimate my annual income by the end of 2011 (that was the year when I was sponsoring my wife).

In terms of banking statements, I think, it's a 3-month frame.

I'll check my past paper work done and will let you know.

The paystub is not required tho right? I think I'm just going to send transcript and employment letter and bank statements. Hope that's gonna work. Didn't think there would be so many obstacles just to get family here. Lol

You have 2 options: either tax return for each of the 3 years + all supporting docs or transcript.

If you stick with the transcript, no need to send W2s or 1099.

Please, re-read instructions for I-864 or I-864 itself: part 6, item 13.

I read it again and it does say that.

If I send NVC my TRANSCRIPT I don't need to send them w2 or 1099. Perfect!

So just to confirm,

I'll send them ONE most recent year of the transcript and employment letter stating my annual salary.

That's it, right?

Just to be safer, I think I'll also use my bank statements as assets.

Do you know the requirements? 5 months of regular statements?

Yes u can apply right after oath ceremony.

I did expedite at the post office got it in a week.

Yes. U can take as many friends as you want. It takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish. If your friends are free, I say it is well worth it. It is a very organized event. Quite emotional at times.

I saw ur support center is in Oxnard. You live in Ventura County then?

I filed I-130 and I was reading the NVC wiki,

I saw that I could do almost everything here in the US for my mother who is living abroad.

I`m a lil confused on the IV package tho,

Photos, and all the original copies of certificates of my mother,

I don`t have any of those with me. They r all with my mom.

Does that mean the IV package part has to be done and sent to NVC by my mom abroad?
