  3. I kNow!!! sleepy.gifsleepy.gifsleepy.gif its damn irritating when the bulletin dosent move forward and people are still waiting for visa's.....BTW currently which month got their interview calls??? Whats the current situation??? When would January people get their process in line/??

Congrats to all those getting their I-130 approved!!! It looks like CSC is moving so fast!

CSC is already approving January PD and yet those of us stuck in VSC are still waiting for them to get through Oct.

But when you really think about it, (for the F2A process) you are only as fast as the slowest service centers. As exciting as it is to get January and February PDs approved, you will still have to wait in line for visas behind those with earlier PDs in October, November and December in other service centers who are still waiting for their NOA2.

how silly and inefficient this system is!

I guess you would get it by this week idea9dv.gifidea9dv.gifidea9dv.gif Our PD's are so close that our process wou;ld be taking place at the same time somewhere!!!!!

Still waiting for mine. My PD is Jan 31.

  4. i am at CSC :( PD - 9 jan 2014

my PD is close to yours - Dec 2, 2013

what service center is your file in?

if you are lucky enough to be at CSC, your noa2 approval could be any day now.....

if you are at VSC, like I am, it could much longer...

as far as interview? we were told to expect 6 month-1 year.

the real concern right now, for me, is the visa bulletin becoming current. And there's always the fears of retrogression

  5. I hope whatever u are predicting turns out to be true dancin5hr.gifidea9dv.gifluv.gif

the fact that cut off date for PD didnt retrogressed further for ROW even after 6 months (since oct 2013 when they frozed it at 8-Sept 13 ) seems like a good sign to me. My logic says, they didnt get floods of application like they did for Mexico. so the impact should not be as big as mexico... wht do u guys think?

  6. Its not crazy...its deadly!!!! dead.gifdead.gifdead.gifdead.gif They can actually kill someone waiting!!!

this is all crazy! hate this USCIS process!

    Praying together cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif

Mexico's retrogression has brought me back down to earth. cray5ol.gif

I guess over the next couple of months we will know if - and how far back - the worldwide category will retrogress.

lets pray that they are all wrong about retrogression in July.

  7. please share your timeline!!!! How much time did it take overall. I am also from India and PD is 9 jan 2014!!

Visa approved smile.png. thanks to all VJers and good luck to all future applicants!

first round with an Indian - she took my passport and sealed medical report and then asked: who is calling you there (spouse), have you completed fingerprints, when did you meet petitioner last time, why did i have a notarized affidavit to support my birth certificate (answer: because my name could not be included on birth certificate due to a government regulation that name cannot be included on the birth certificate if the certificate is requested after 15 years of birth). returned all my civil documents and took ds-260 confirmation copy and later gave the pamphlet about rights in the US and asked me to go through it later.

after that, waited for approx. 15 minutes when name was called out for the next round:

second round with an American - She asked which language would I like to be interviewed, then asked me to read out/take the oath. Then asked: who is calling you there, when did you get married, was it a love or arranged marriage, where did you go for your honeymoon, when did you meet petitioner last time, where does he work, with whom does he live there and then she said 'congrats, your visa is approved' dancin5hr.gif . She then handed the page with instructions to pay $165 and said we should pay it before I land in the US.

very pleasant experience at the consulate. both officers were extremely polite throughout.

called ustraveldocs customer care and they informed that when we go to pick up our visa at the pickup facility, we will be given a yellow sealed packet that should be taken unopened and submitted at the port of entry in the US

thanks to everyone at VJ once again and wish everyone a speedy (re-)union with your loved ones. good luck!

Hi again. I think i am applying for a tourist visa i dont care i wanna try!! Can you give me you email address so i can keep in touch with you and update you on what lawyers say>???

    KT

    Hi all,

Ok so my wife spoke to an immigration lawyer today for some advise, we have already filed form I-130 and received the notice/receipt.

She did ask weather I would be able to come into the USA on a VWP (Visa waiver program / standard tourist visa which allows a a tourist up to to 90 days to remain in the USA) and he replied and was adamant to say that I should not do that as it could delay / mess up the I-130 process! I have however asked on the forum before and others have stated that they did do so and had no problems.

So my question is has anybody had any problems with this? Of course having a return flight ticket already booked and ties that show your 'need' to return back home is a given.

    Thanks in advance,

    Darcy

  9. Hi Darcy

I have the same case!! My PD is 9 jan 2014!! My lawyer told me not to apply for a tourist visa as it would mess the status. Mine one is too a reputed immigration lawyer. he said the process would take 10 months and hence i should wait and not rush for visitors visa. i even posted the same question on lawfaq.com and every single US lawyer asked me not to apply for visitors visa as it would delay the entire process.

    My thoughts exactly!

Because I've seen everyone say the same thing that it's ok to travel etc... however he does have a good reputation and he is a specific immigration lawyer. I have followed this question up with him and I'm yet to hear back from him (I just emailed him) but was very surprised when my wife told me!!
