  1. I am from Iraq too. And My husband was IN Mosul. Everything was soo horrible and he had to leave because it was very dangerous.

I requested them to expedite and they did not they told me the same exact thing. And I was getting checklist after checklist and was freaking out.

I had to wait for NVC to Complete my case and they sent it right away to Baghdad and after 2 weeks I got an email of my interview date.

Message me if u need help.

  2. I am preparing my AOS documents.

I am a full time student and do not work. I actually am living abroad with my husband right now. He supports me and provides all the income. His income does not qualify for him to sponsor himself because we have to x5. We have a joint sponsor in the USA who meet the Poverty guidelines.

While preparing the Affidavit of Support, I am aware the the petitioner needs to fill the I-864 no matter what. Do I just 0 for my income? I have filled taxes for 2011 only.

Do you think the consular will thinks its fine? I also decided to go back to the USA after I get a case complete from NVC to find a job and rent a house.

  3. When I go in to pay the AOS there is no check box or any information, yet I do have a check box and information under the IV but thats not available yet.

I did fill out the Choice of Agent form yesterday.

(When filling for I-130 I attached my I-864 documents together, an agency told me if I did that It would be faster and I wouldnt have to pay the 88 dollars.) I didnt think its true but did it anyways. COuld that be the case?

  4. I hope someone can help me out .

My husband lives in Iraq. My mother and father are both Iraqis, but my parents never did the Iraqi citizen for me. I moved to the United States in 1999 at age 5 from Damascus, Syria as a refugee.

I orignally got married by a releigous person here in Iraq In february of 2012. When I wanted to apply for the I-130 an immigration agency told me that a rellegious marriage certificate was not enough for the USCIS and that I needed to get a court marraige certificate.

We had out wedding reception in February of 2012.

After applying for Iraqi citizen papers, I was finally granted them in June of 2012. Then I went to the court in Iraq to get a marraige certificate that reads June 2012.

On my I-130 papers I had put my marriage date from the court marraige paper. But my wedding pictures are all in winter clothes, so at the interview the consuler will likely to notice I really did not have a ceremony in June.

    What should I do?

Should I just provide the translated releigous certificate? A letter of explanation?

  5. I-130 Approved on February 20th,2014. Called today and case was received on March 4, 2014. How long is the current time to wait to get case in the system and case number. My priority date is September 3, 2013 filling for Spouse.

When can I request an Expedite?

Also, When I filled my I-130 I also provided the I-864 for Petitioner and Joint sponser, do I have to do them again?
