Hey Folks!!
It's been a while since I posted on this thread. Something came up unprecedented.
Anyhow, I had my interview today, 12/20/2017. The interview lasted in less than 15 minutes. I passed and did my oath all at the same day..

No I went to the SSA office and applied. They checked my passport and EAD and made copies.
The guy said if the DHS verification goes through soon, I should expect to receive it by next week. That will be awesome if I receive it next week.
Hi MaleAlpha!
The same thing happened to me. I informed the IO about this and she said, I can always go back to the SSA office when I receive my green card, yaiks! But she said, I don't need to wait for my SSN as long as I have my EAD card and passport to show to my employer and the notice I received from SSA.

Thanks CJC!!
Good luck on your interview Me-Myself-and-I, this is really exciting for you.....hope you are feeling better soon too.
Hello Guys and Gals!!
The waiting game is finally over!
Just got back from the interview and the IO was suuuuuper nice!!! We got approved and she said, to wait for the mail tomorrow!!!! Yay!!!
Good luck to all January filers and have a great week everyone!!!

The lady at SSA said it takes 10 days from the effective date of the EAD before its verifiable buts sometimes some folks get lucky.
Thanks anmasean! The officer informed us that he will call us as soon as their database has updated. So, there is a possibility of getting it before 10 days. I have no choice but to wait... This waiting game is really testing my patience. By the way, my interview is going to be tomorrow and I am having a flu... huhuhuhuhu

Have you got your tracking number yet? Mine was also said to be mailed out today.
Where would I find the tracking number? I got a similar "we mailed the new card" status now, but would like to track it. :/
Check your case status again guys!! I usually check mine a couple of times in a day (just checking if its possible to change status or information for any updates multiple times in a day). Got mine just now and it says, "The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on March 21, 2014. The USPS tracking number assigned is 9205592338400129019383. You can use this number at www.usps.com to view updates to the delivery status of your mail. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283." Yay!

So, here's my experience in San Francisco for the interview:
We arrived a solid hour ahead of our appointment and just waited for things to move. After around 45 minutes we were greeted and escorted by a friendly officer.
After doing the oath, we just talked about very few basics, like I was to say the full name of my husband and his birthday and he did have to do the same. We were asked about when and how we met. After that he went through the whole casefile I sent to Chicago two months ago. We asked me the questions on the I-485 form and just basic biographical information.
After that he asked if we had any more evidence to add to the file, which we provided some.
He told us that he deems our marriage real but he'd have to do a final background check before he could approve me. When I got home I checked the website and it says "Card in Production" so I guess I am good for now.
This was pretty relaxed and easy. He was a very nice officer to begin with, so I can't tell any horror stories.
Congratulations!!
I just received a new update on my EAD and it says, On March 21, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. ... sigh! One thing I noticed about the date (i.e., March 21, 2014 in this case), usually I received the notification the day after the date they mentioned sending it, just like my notification on my interview date, which was February 23, 2014 when they sent it (and yes, it was a SUNDAY!), I received it on the 24th of February (a Monday). I don't know you guys if you have the same case or if you have noticed this. I just hope I'll receive it tomorrow (crossing my fingers here).. let's see if my theory is correct
Anyway, good luck to us all January filers, I believe most of us are having a March interview-schedule... please, please keep us updated and how long does it take for the whole duration of the interview.
Again good luck to us and have a great weekend everyone!!

Congrats - good to see an update today.
I just got an update too. My EAD is in card production!!!!! SO happy!
Not sure why my AP is still in Initial Review though. I thought this card would be for both. Anyhow...
Good luck to those who are still waiting! Yours will be here soon.
I got an update too! Card being processed...It has been such a loooong wait, can't wait to work!!
Hope those waiting hear something soon as well
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I think, USCIS database has its own scheduling.. hehehehehe.. am so glad everything goes smoothly.. Now, let the waiting game begin...

Hi Guys and Gals!!!
I finally got a new update on my I-765 (yay!!!)
.. it says, "Card/Document Production" and "On March 17, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you." Also, got a new update on my I-131, it says, "Post Decision Activity" and "On March 17, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice."
Caaaan't waaaaaaaait...

Yaay! Congratulations Me-Myself-And-I. I guess you are now nearing the end of this journey.
Thanks MaleAlpha! I am still waiting for an EAD update, its still on its Initial Review state. Sigh! But as what they say, as soon as everything is done and approved, I no longer need an EAD buuuuuuut, I still want to work while waiting for the interview so I can somehow divert my anxiety and be more productive.
Also, am NOT a K1 holder, so I cannot process and get an SSN, that leaves me with no choice but to wait for my EAD or AOS approval or whichever comes first (sigh)...
Good luck to us all and have a blessed week everyone!

Hello Everyone!
How are you guys doing? Its been awhile since my last post, been visiting some relatives in NJ, NY and PA. Anyway, I received my biometrics notice on January 29th. My biometrics appointment was scheduled on the 12th of February at 11 am and I am supposed to be back here in Manchester on the 11th, was worried there might be a problem of not adhering on the scheduled appointment so we tried our luck to do an early walk-in..
I have been doing my research on early walk-ins specifically in Manchester area and learned that Manchester only allows appointments on the biometric's scheduled date and time (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/367977-thinking-of-early-walk-in-for-biometrics/page-6). Also it varies per center/state/office if they allow early walk-ins, just click the link and it will show the thorough information regarding early walk-ins per state and per center/office.
With these information, I felt bad since there is no chance of having an early walk-in and at the same time feeling anxious due to the dates being too close and might cause a problem with the whole process. Just to make sure, my husband advised me to send an email to our processor, inquiring if we can do an early walk-in. Before we received a reply from them, I decided to try our luck. We went to the Manchester Office on the 3rd of Feb, Monday around 12 noon. I brought with me my train tickets, my biometrics appointment letter and all NOAs. We went through the whole scanning/checking security process and we showed them the appointment letter and my husband tried to explain our situation (given that the weather is also not in our side), the security officer told us that maybe we can get through it today and inform the officer-in-charge with the situation, they didn't even look at my tickets. We were asked to wait since the in-charge was taking her break. In less than 5 minutes we were asked to go to the next room and wait for the officer-in-charge and I guess it took her a minute or 2 to meet us in the waiting area. We were the only ones in there which makes me feel more anxious. She then asked us what our concern was/were and my husband offered to explain our situation, telling her that my appointment is supposed to be on the 12th but I am travelling from 4-11th of Feb. I gave her my appointment letter, my husband also informed her that due to the weather condition, I might have a delayed departure going back on the 11th. I was about to give her my train tickets to confirm the dates but she didn't bother to ask for them. She smiled at me and said, "ok, no problem", then hand me a form to fill-out for the biometrics. She was soooo nice and very accommodating. The whole biometric process took me less than 10 minutes. We went out with smiles on our faces and felt soooo relieved. The security officers were happy for us too.
I am hoping that the whole process will speed up from here point on. Regarding RFEs, even if I haven't received any, it does not mean I will never receive one. I learned that some filers received RFEs even after biometrics. So I am still hoping everything will be fine.
Good luck to us all!

Hello Everyone!
I am a January filer, yay! I have been in this website for quite sometime now reading all posts/threads anonymously and finally decided to register (just now) so I can post my own updates on my AOS filing. It's nice knowing I am not alone in this journey and nice to know that we have this small community making updates on the processes each of us made, which I find interestingly exciting and not to mention very helpful and somehow lessen the burden of anxiety and waiting by reading all posts and checking any updates for co-January filers. I hope everything is well and good luck to all of us!!!
Anyway, my AOS was filed on January 9, 2014, received an email notification yesterday (January 20th) informing case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing and within 7-10 days, by standard mail, I will receive my official Receipt Notice (Form i-797) with my Receipt Number. So, I am presuming it will arrive sometime or between the 27th and 30th of this month (fingers crossed).
I just hope EAD will be processed SOONER! I need a job to divert my attention and somehow, be more productive!
