This is normal. it also took us a while for them to review our documents. They will contact you via email if they need anything.

you cannot do anything right now since your wife's priority date isn't current. she cannot adjust her status until priority date became current.

Hello guys, my friend is LPR and he's oustside of USA for 18mos with his re entry docs, his wife's interview is next month. They were both living here in Phils. Would there be any problem for the issuance of visa for his wife since the petitioner (husband) is with her for 18mos.
it wont be a problem as long as the petitioner can prove his domicile in the US and ofcourse if the documents are complete during the interview.

just wait and pray guys that hopefully PD advances.good luck to all!

it might take up to 4 weeks for them to review your updated Affidavit of Support.

I have applied for Police from Local Garda where i'm a residing and it took only 4 days.

Since he is not a GC/USC he has to go to visitor's line at POE.

looks like it will remain Sept 2013. in fact, they predict that it will retrogress further last quarter of this year.

Hi guys i have question do i need to file as a single or married for 2013 since my spouse is not in usa. i have already filed as single and my spouse need 2 show my tax returns for 2013 and i have filed as single. i hope i m on right track please help me out thanks in advcne
No, since you are married, you have to file Married. My wife filed her 2013 income tax via paper filling. we put "NRA" under my SSN field. and we sent it to the address they specified depending on your state. took us only 3 days. We issued a check for payment we owe to IRS (incase you're underpaid). if your interview is before April 15, they dont require you to provide the tax information but they might ask you to provide 2013 W2 information during the interview. but it really depends on the embassy. its case to case basis. its only my opinion. hope it helps

Thanks VJ and US Embassy Dublin, Ireland
-
they may or may not asked for it. but to be sure bring the 2013 tax information. April 15 is the deadline so there is a high chance that they will require you to submit it during the interview.
-
NVC will run its own background check. you also need to get police report and provide it to NVC.
-
if you have not given them completely during the NVC stage then you have to provide them during the interview. updated tax information (2013) is needed after tax filling deadline ( April 15). if you interview fall before April 15. 2012 tax information will suffice.

not an issue. i just traveled last Dec 2013 having Case completed from NVC.

Hi
I got interview date on March 17th.
But my concern is if I can get my passport back before our vacation, March 28th...
We didn't expect to have my interview this quick and wanted to have some fun before my husband move back to the US in April.
Still, good news though.
Given that you're approved with no issue/follow up, most probably you will be able to have it back. Please check with your consulate regarding the processing time. here in Ireland it takes 3 days.
-
you can do paper filling. my wife paid her taxes as married filling separately. all you have to do is to put "NRA" on Social Security field of your spouse.

hello guys.i just recieved a checklist from NVC saying :: "Please submit a copy of the biographic data page of this person's passport, including the expiration date of the passport. The passport must be valid " ...*knowing that i sent it already in the package
my question is : can i ask someone in the US to send the required document in the checklist to the NVC via postal mail because it will be faster knowing that I'm living in algeria i mean that would not be a problem and please someone tell me how long does it takes to review the required document in the checklist please any answers would be really helpful and appreciated
Yes, as long as that person has a copy of your passport biographic data. mine took 20 days to review.

Hi thanks for the reply. Most probably it will be on coming September.? I got my visitors visa for 5 years and I went and stayed for one month and came back again. I'm waiting for june and july visa bulletin. I hope the nvc will starts to issue visa. Thank you once again.
No, i meant was it might retrogressed by last quarter of this yr. meaning it will move backward. but lets pray that it will move forward in the coming months. As i've said no one can really predict. it depends on the the number of applications received.
-
Hi congrats to vkrishan.
My PD is 28/10/2013 if anyone knows when my PD will become current.
Thank you
No one predict it. it depends on the number of visas being processed. but as per VB, there will no movement. F2a might even retrogressed by fourth quarter of this year.
-
it depends. you can get single or multiple entry. single entry is valid for 3 months. while multiple entry is valid until Garda card Expiration which is max for 2 yrs.

Hi,
I'm confused if it is required to bring an envelope and postal stamp during the interview? it was not mentioned on the IR1/CR1 interview letter. Any idea? size? stamp?
Thanks in advance
-
Brilliant, thanks a million for the response.
As far as I've been told by the gardai, it's literally just arrive at the airport request a special stamp, report to local gardai station (Bray) and it gets done there and then, do you know how long the whole processes takes? Once she gets the stamp and card, she can leave Ireland and come back and forth when ever she so pleases?
I'll be staying in Ireland, occasioanlly visting her while we wait for my greencard to come through
No, that not how it works. You have to file for a spouse visa. We filed it at Irish Consulate in San Francisco since my wife was in the US that time. She was given an entry visa valid for 3 month i think. when she arrived here she was instructed to visit Depart of Justice office at Georges Quay in Dublin to apply for the stamp card. once you have it she also needs to apply for a re entry permit that would allow her to get back to Ireland. Stamp 4 is only valid for two years so as the re entry permit. She needs to renew it after 2 yrs.

its a known issue since Friday.

Thaks for the reply.
Its not given straight away, you do have to apply for it, but it isn't a whole drawn out processes. You enter by air, produce marriage cert at airport, you get a special stamp, then report to your local immigration officer at the police station, he then finishes the process, and persumably stamps your passport and you get a card sent in the post. Its what you get give as a permanent resident as well as being a spouse, its just very eas for a spouse to obtain
it wont be an issue. My wife is also an LPR and has stamp 4 visa and she traveled to Dublin 3x. no issue with CBP at Dublin airport. but we was reminded not during her second trip not to stay for too. long in Ireland or she might loose her green card. She stayed 10 months all in all during her trips.

if she doesn't have a green card and she's using a Chinese passport then she cannot travel to Canada. She needs to obtain a Canadian tourist visa inorder to travel.
