Hey guys so just want to thank everyone on this site... it really helped a lot ... my wife got her visa today! she just turned in her passport yesterday and around 4am us eastern time I woke up... thought id check the site because I have nothing better to do when I wake up at 4 am in the morning... and the site said issued...I was so excited... called her to ask if she had received anything she said no.... I was like they will call you and sire enough they did.... she went and picked up the passport and when receiving the original docs back she also got back her original birth cert.... from the same lady that told her that they dint have it... and never received it ... this lady was so rude and gave us such a hard time because she said she checked the paperwork 3 times and the birth cert wasn't there handed it back to my wife... can you belive that? what an abuse of power and such in competency... don't they realize one small mistake on their part causes such a tough ordeal on ours? anyways let me stop my rant and just enjoy the fact that my wife got her ir1 visa super excited ... finally thank god! good luck to everyone

Oh sorry my bad. Middle name was not indicated in my ds 160. I just realized last night that a Middle name is a GIVEN name and that I have to list it with my first name. By the way, is your interview over/done/finished?

WOW NO BIGGIE RELAX AND BE HAPPY ABOUT THE INTERVIEW DATE AS LONG AS THE MIDDLE NAME IS ON PASSPORT.. NO NEED TO SAY ANYTHING YOURSELF... IF ASKED AT INTERVIEW LET THEM KNOW YOU CALLED THE NVC TO MAKE CORRECTION AND THEY TOLD YOU TO HAVE IT CORRECTED AT THE INTERVIEW!

well it would depend on what the mistake was??? give a little more detail please... as far as me the same thing happened .. the national visa center told me it could be corrected at the interview... and it was! so no problems regarding that issue

Has anyone ever received a 221G... thaTS STATES

to receive a visa under the following section(s) of the immigration and nationality Act. The information contained

in the paragraphs marked with "X" pretain to your visa application. Please disregard the unmarked paragraphs.

X Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the

provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The following

remarks apply in your case,

visa approved however waiting for new passport. please contact embassy once you have your new passport

and will inform you when to return."

NOW IT SAYS VISA APPROVED BUT WAITING FOR NEW PASSPORT SO HAS ANYONE GOTTEN AP after having the approval in writing?

in my case my wifes full name was printed where only her first name should have been in error. she just has her passport corrected and they will mail

out another one in a few days... so to me it looks like its approved the onyl reason they couldn't do anything was they wanted correct passport to put visa on?

or am i wrong and after she drops off her passport they may put her in AP??

has anyone ever gotten approved in writing and than been sent to AP??

why dont you track it through DHL.... to see if and when it arrives to the consulate.

Thanks pob yes this is what they want.. what I'm wondering is the 221g says under remarks "visa approved but waiting for new passport" so if it says approved it can't possibly goto ap for some crazy reason can it? And also my wife n I hit our 2 year anniversary this 10th of feb .. but 221g says cr1 visa should I ask to correct? Or just shutup n go w it instead of creating further issue .. will they have to re interview to make the change?

SO THE LETTER IS FORM 221-G IT SAID WE DENY YOUR INTERVIEW BECAUSE YOU DID NOT COMPLY WITH BLAH BLAH BUT UNDER IT IT SAID IN THE REMARKS *VISA APPROVED , BUT WAITING ON NEW PASSPORT...

SO THIS MEANS ITS ALREADY APPROVED ??? NO MORE CHANCE OF AP THEY ARE JUST WAITING ON PASSPORT SO THEY CAN STAMP IT RIGHT?

HOW DOES THIS WORK..

My wife's interview was schduled for march 6th...
Butas soon as the consulate recived paperwrk .. Someone from embassy called and asked her to bring current police certificates and told her that interview was rescheduled to 38 of feb.. so she my wife asked if this could be done following day the CO insisted it be done that day
So my wife went .. When she went she was told 2 or 3 things to be corrected
Our marriage cert. Which my wife pointed out was alrdy in packet. The co said keep it n bring it to interview..
Than my wife was told she needed her orig birth certificate .. My wife and I sent this but co said no.. In the p4 it says received sent by nvc.. But co said no... Called nvc they said its in the packet we sent it.
So now what do I do .. I know I sent it... Nvc n the p4 states it was sent...

I think you should call the conullate of interview ... I thin from most of what I have read it happens same day as interview..

My husband had his interview at the embassy on Feb. 3, 2014. The CO told him he was approved, took his passport, and told him that he would have his visa within 2 weeks. Friday we checked the status on CEAC, and it changed from Ready, to Refused. The embassy sent me this email...with no further explanation.

Dear Madam:

Thank you for contacting us. Your case is pending due to required additional administrative processing. Administrative processing refers to various additional steps that must be taken before a visa can be issued. Typically, this process lasts at least 9 months but, on occasion, it can take longer. We are not able to take any further action until the additional administrative processing is complete. Once the additional administrative processing is complete, a consular officer will review the case. The following documents may require renewal at the conclusion of the administrative processing:

1. Police certificates: valid for one year from the date of issuance.

2. DS-260/DS-230 part I and II: valid for one year from the date of signature.

3. Medical report: valid for six months from the date of the exam.

You may now check on the status of your pending immigrant visa application online by visiting the Department of State’s Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/.

We are heart broken..how can they do this, after approval at the embassy and taking his passport

and what kind of evidence and how much of it did they look at?

Call IRS ... They can fax it to you. As long as its a personal fax and you tell them you bare standing next to the fax that's how I got mine good luck

CASE IN TRANSIT SINCE 12th but stuck at NVC die to weather..

K NVM FOUND IT.... always put EXP and at the end of the year A

so guys on the 11th of feb 2014 I went to ceac site it said at NVC.

on the 12th of Feb 2014 I went to ceac site and it said in transit

so how would I get the tracking info? with DHL?

how long does it usually take to the Embassy? DO they show that's it with them or does it just work like it did with NVC?
