  1. Got RFE in the mail today.

It is dated with April 21. Which date should I put in my timeline?

Seems like they have lost the whole package?! We need to provide passport photos (both), both G-325A, proof of intent to marry, proof of having met in the past 2 years (unfortunately we don't have many since he does not like to take pictures).

How does that sound to you guys?

An attorney has checked it before the whole packed was sent. A lot of work ahead of us ... :clock::angry::wacko:

  2. Congratulations!

omg its here! My noa2 notification text came at 7:46pm tonight. It literally happened right after we got some bad news about his mom, as in I got his message, went to text my grandma to tell her and it popped up. I was crying and having so many mixed emotions. He's been at his mom's bedside and it was 10am there and he's been there all night and the joy of "I'm coming home" was just so heavy for us both. I know we still have the rest of the stuff, but we're approved, this is happening!

Thank you all so much, I just can't tell you how much finding this community has helped me during this crazy time. I'll be back with my questions about phase two once I've slept and regained my sanity.

  3. Congratulations!

We all are a little closer to the end.

Since it has been long time we have decided to take the risk - I booked a ticked and packed few things. I had a longer interview at the POE (JFK) but my B2 visa (multi entry, 5 years) from last year (I stayed in the US over 90) was stamped allowing the entry.

We hope to get the NOA2 while we are together. I would also like to bring all I-134 papers with me o he does not have to mail them.

Let's get some more December filers approved!

Just received a text and email that my petition has been approved! NOA2 FINALLY!!! Thank you God!

  4. Hi guys,

I know the answer in detail - for any embassy - your documents have to be less than 6 months old - not only for the interview but on the day of the arrival in the USA (at the POE). It is important how long the paper is valid for the US authorities not how long it is valid in the country where it was issued.

I got this kind warning from the embassy when asking them about all translations and certifications of all these documents. I was so enthusiastic about the petition being filed I started collecting my papers ... Months ago. Still no change. And my first post ever. I hope it is helpful.

Start the process of obtaining a fresh Police Certificate tomorrow first thing.

Hey guys, a question about something I read on the Moscow Embassy reviews page, in case anyone knows the answer. Somehow, there was a review on the first page from someone who listed "Singapore" as their interview location, but said that there was a problem about their Russian Police Certificate being over 6 months old (7 months for them I think), and that they were told they needed a newer police certificate (for 1 month, really?), which made them lose a lot of time.

Our understanding had been that the police certificate was good for one year. My fiancée got hers in November after we filed the petition, not thinking it would "expire" in less than a year, and I'd hoped we'd be booking a flight to Moscow by now for the interview. Does anybody know a solid answer about this, or are all embassies different? I guess I can e-mail Moscow, but wanted to check here first. Thanks, and continued congratulations to all those moving forward in the process!
