Hi guys,
Did anyone (out of those who got interview dates for March) already has his/her case IN TRANSIT (you can check at CEAC)?
-
WOW GUYS BOTH OF YOU CONGRATS!!!! hopefully manama embassy will schedule march for me as well considering they are not high traffic.
BTW IYOR! how did you do expedite? if they dont give interview date soon i will have togo visit her and than again bring her when she gets her visa.. is that considered financial loss?
You can request expedite by sending email at nvcexpedite@state.gov...I don't think you will be granted expedite based on what you describe though. Expedite is for emergencies only.
FYI I don't yet know if I will be granted expedite either...
-
Just got my interview date - 20 March.
Armando - did you get yours?
-
Haven't called them yet either... will call later today in like 4-5 hours from now.
The new thing is that last week I asked NVC to expedite my interview appointment as I am experiencing business losses. 2 days ago I got email that they are reviewing my request and this morning I called the embassy (as I know once NVC tells they are reviewing it they send it to the embassy), and the embassy told me that they just received the expedite request this morning and that they will take decision today and e-mail NVC...so I am now waiting from NVC not only about interview date but also on decision about the expedite...
Oh also I asked our embassy if NVC is already scheduling for March and they said yes...
-
Armando, did you call them today? Any news?
-
Finally, got an email from NVC regarding my interview date and it's going to be on March 24, 2014! I'm 2 steps away...:-) I hope everyone here will get their IL as well.. Goodluck and God Bless us all!!!
Josh21, congrats!!! When was your case completed?
-
As far as I know they schedule up until the mid of the month...i.e. March interviews will be scheduled up until 15 Feb... have you heard differently?
-
You can call nvc right now maybe you get a good answer
I called them 10 mins ago - no interview yet. They confirmed that scheduling for March interviews has began and not yet finished.
-
I sure hope you're right!
-
One word - blah!
-
Armando, did you call the NVC today to ask if you got your interview date?
-
My CC was 30 Dec 2013. It's earlier than yours and yet I don't have a date yet...go figure
-
You mean interview date on 25 March?
Can you check your status at http://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx and tell me if it still says "At NVC"? Also did you get an email about the interview date, and did they tell you when they gave you the date (i.e. today, yesterday etc)?
-
I called, and nothing Congrats and let's hope the rest of us will get early March dates too!
pob260 -> can you please check your CEAC status (ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx) and tell us what it says there? Does it still say "At NVC" even though you got your interview date? -
Hi all,
My case was NVC Complete on 30 Dec 2013, and I am still waiting for an interview date.
I noticed though, that the NVC got my wife's family name wrong... my family name is YORDANOV and hers is YORDANOVA (in my country, women's family names often end with an A at the end). But NVC wrote both of us down as YORDANOV. In my wife's passport it says YORDANOVA though. Do you think that would cause any problems such as visa denial or AP?
(this is about an EB1(a) green card...I am the petitioner and she's the beneficiary)
Thanks in advance!
-
Yes, i'm aware of it. its valid for a year. http://dublin.usembassy.gov/medical_exam.html.
The Doctor allowed me to the advance medical. Several beneficiaries are doing it in advance.
Wow! I stand corrected then! It seems the rules are different for Ireland indeed. Here in Bulgaria we first need to get the interview appointment and then go to medical. And the medical is good for only a month.
-
I've had my medical today in advance, hope there is good news this week regarding the interview schedule.
You do know that you are not supposed to do the medical before the interview is scheduled, right? Unless the rules are different for Ireland, the medical should only be made after an interview date has been scheduled and no earlier than 1 month prior to the interview, as the medical's validity is one month.
-
Armando, please post the link to the March interviews topic when you create it, so I can follow it.
Thanks.
-
hahah. I will call NVC later to check if there is a good news.. will keep posted.
Please ask them if they started booking for March already and post what they said.
-
Nope, nothing here...
Checking http://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx 800 times a day...if I didn't know better I would think I don't have a better job to do lol
I've noticed in another thread that many people get interview dates on 28,29,30 of each month...i.e. the last 2-3 days of the month. Let's hope we're among those and later today the NVC will tell us "Oh come on guys, we've got a date for you on 1 March" -
FYI, my immigration attorney also told me that she called the NVC and they told her that February is all booked for interviews. Blah.
Keeping fingers crossed for next week. I've seen a lot of people in these forums that get their interview appointment in the last week of the month.
-
By the way, I did call the NVC last Friday just a few hours before they closed...so I asked the lady from NVC whether they were still scheduling interviews for February and she said (quite confidently) that as far as she knows, they are... so maybe there is still hope for February, who knows... I am thinking that their regular schedule was messed up because of 5 unusual non-working days:
* christmas
* 1st jan
* 2 days due to bad weather
* president's day (yesterday)
So perhaps things this month are just running late...
-
Yeah I noticed that...it's really weird because the official story you hear from the NVC is that they book interviews during the first two weeks of the month. Which has been proven false by the users @VisaJourney...
The whole thing is a complete mystery All we can do is to wait and hope that the waiting won't be so much longer.
-
Of course it's different depending on the visa category. IR1 or CR's get their interview letter super fast even a few hours after completion email. I'm not sure about your visa type but the more priority it has the faster you get the letter.
Well, while this does make sense, EB1 is one of the hardest green cards to get. It's for Extraordinary Skills and Abilities. So it does sound like it should have quite a lot of priority over other types of visas/green cards, but then again, it's been 22 days now, since Case Complete and I've still got nothing.
NVC closed today, anybody knows why??

I don't think they are closed today...I just called and didn't get the pre-recorded voice message that they put during a closure...didn't wait to get through an operator either, but still...it looks as if they work today.
