  2. Hi Guys,

My Mom was recently approved for an immigrant visa at the lagos consulate. She's been told to come and pick up her visa next wednesday. However she will not be able to pick up the visa personally.I was wondering if i could pick up her visa with the blue visa collection document given to her?

    Thanks

  3. Thanks Everyone!!1

She was asked who the petitioner is?

What was his primary schooll's name, secondary, university.

what was his first job in u.s and his present job.where he lived.

when was the last time he came visiting nigeria

    pics of petitioner's dead father.

The consular marveled at the way she answered her questions that she laughed out and congratulated her.

Although, she asked where he presently works and since she couldnt promounce the name of the university where he lectured, she simply handed consular his complimentary card.at that point the consular laughed.

    Hope it helps

  4. Hurray!! She got the visa. She was given a blue letter indicating to come and pick up her visa next wednesday

However,no money was taken from her even though she had taken along $400 for the fees

she asked one of the embassy staff and was told no need.I am surprised.Does it mean they will collect the money when she come to receive her visa next week?

    Thanks Guys for d advise!!!

  5. Thanks for the advise. The packet received came from NVC .She's yet to receive anything from the U.S embassy in lagos.Howver, the NVc letter states that an immigrant visa interview had been arranged for her at 15th april 2008 at u.s embassy lagos and also directed her to take medical examination at kamorass clinic, lagos which she's done.

i will see to it that she doesnt take any of the aforementioned things on that day.

    :D

  8. Yeah, I dont comment alot for the same reasons...too much drama...this use to be a nice place to get and give good advice. To many opinions have come to the surface. Its a shame because alot of people in the future will miss out on some great and helpful information.

    This doesnt apply to everyone.

Unfortunately,it shouldnt be so.We are supposed to build a community here!!! I agree this doesnt apply to everyone.I remember mollystephen says something about expecting a baby.Just wanted to know hows things with her and stephen. She did give me really good avise though.

  10.:yes::yes: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! HOPE HE HAS A SAFE TRIP HOME!!!!I WISH YOU BOTH MUCH SUCCESS ON A NEW BEGINNING!!!!!!

Congratulations to you and your husband the visa.I wish you both the best...Good Things comes to those who wait......

  11. Frauds like Valentine sure gives the country bad images and makes it difficult for real relationship to overcome immigration..My Fiance has unfortunately been reading and having contacts with marriage farudsters in Ny like Val.She calls to tell me everytime about them.As a matter of fact a friend of hers was a victim recently.Although our intentions are genuine and true.I makes me feel bad associating all that with Nigerians.

    Val,Fear God!!!!

  12. Here's my advise.First do not abandon the petition. It would send a red flag against the new petion.Secondly, contact Uscis with your case #.If your spouse has been given 221(g) file that with it too.Thirdly, contact your congressman. All these would take time no doubt but in the end its always worth it! Try having Uscis re-approve your petition.Alternatively, you may seek an attorney.Thats my 2 cents worth.Goodluck
