  1. imagine the outcry if a state decided to do the same with Islam? What would the difference be in offering an islamic class in the public school on the same grounds as this christian class? A 'history class' which uses the khoran as a textbook in proving christianity is a wrong religion?

  2. I just emailed my husband and asked him basically the same thing... why is it that people find it so hard to believe that some men do not like to go to strip clubs? It's frustrating.

Maybe it's cause some people are to insecure to believe that their husbands in fact are so in love with their wives that other women just isnt interesting?

And I have actually been to stripclubs in my younger days even the ones in amsterdam, greatest thing about that place was that we got free beer after we paid to get in ... the shows on stage wasnt much fun, especially the live show was kinda gross

  3. First of all I'm danish ... and we definatly like our beer ... most places it's not considered ok to drink while you work anymore. There's exceptions though. I used to work on a small cargo ship and at 10 am the skipper would call us up for the 10am beer break usually lead to 2 beers, made it interesting when you'd been painting all morning :P We'd usually have another beer or 2 at lunchtime and another beerbreak with the 2nd in command at 2pm when the skippers shift ended.

At the hotel I worked at before moving here, we'd usually not drink until after our shift was over, or at least close to over, more than once have I gone rather shitfaced home from work there - and it was free of course :P On my last day there the general manager even poured me my beers

  4. People - you are killing me here.

All of you girls that said "he told me and I didn't care" of full of #######! I'm sorry but I just have to call ya'll out. Nobody is that cool.

    call me out then.

I don't care who he was with before, he's with me now.

and fyi.. i've been with more ppl than he has

    LOL

If you really didn't care then you wouldn't ask

Was he cool with the fact that you have been with more people?

Of course I was cool with that why on earth wouldnt I be?

  5. you pay marginally more (50% is a huge exaggeration) for a far superior machine, that works. Not to mention looking gorgeous and utilising some of the finest technology and accesories on the planet.

actually, my mac mouse has 2 buttons (invisible), a scroller in the middle and tis a thing of beauty. http://www.apple.com/mightymouse/

Microsoft have thankfully discontinued the Apple version of IE. It was a load of ####### like its windows cousin and had no place on a mac! Alas, as a Web Developer, I have to cater for Windows users. Youd be amazed how many bugs I have to workaround to make websites function for a PC. Its untrue how bad they really are... yuck

wow they made more than one button mice finally  ... I've got 8 on my mouse and the scroll wheel :P

Now we could go on and on about how much inferior the mac or pc is, dont wanna get into that cause it is very much a religion  as for designwise mac is definatly more designed than any pc but that's of course a taste matter as to whether you like it or not. All though I am very fond of the complete black and silver setup on my computer ... though the icemat is a dustmagnet but that's what you get for using a glas mousemat

  6. Buy a real computer http://www.apple.com

    'nuff said

firefox runs on mac as well

yeah, difference is, your computer wont crash, is secure, has no viruses, has no spyware etc etc. That dodgy stuff doesnt exist on Apple Mac. And you dont need firefox on a mac. Safari, the native browser is much better than firefox... its pure perfection in a box.

for which you've paid 50% more money to have a computer with just one mousebutton

I've worked on macs before, they were good for what I needed them for but I just never became friends with them and I'd never buy one :P

Plus all you just listed is true for a standard pc running linux as well  funny part is that ie5 for mac was actually superiour to ie5 on windows

I know everything about you ;)

    STALKER!

    :hehe:

    j/k he's my husband (L)

You married a stalker?? :o well, if can't beat them... atleast spank them :P

    heehehehe

    yeah baby :P

  7. Im not sure, To calculate that you would have to trust that what MS puts in a patch or service pack description is the whole truth. Post SP2 I have about 20 Service packs, many of which seem to deal with Internet explorer according to the descriptions. Some of them patch multiple issues. Dunno, By Contrast, The Firefox buglog has 18000 of them in it.

probably the biggest difference between FF and IE or Mozilla and MicroSoft ... Microsoft dont post their bugs until they released a fix for it...

Ahhh... now THIS is starting to sound like the ole OS religious wars of yrs ago I used to read. Much hilarity.

True it is personal preference.. but the FF bug that you ar worried about is nothing compared to the whole that IE has that allows someone to trojan in on you and DOS the planet.

 now what's wrong with the OS wars ... everybody knows that any linux distribution is far superior to anything M$ has ever produced :P

  8. Faith, browser sensitivity is a disease, its a browser, who cares. Here is a link to a Firefox issue that has existed for over a year which is still not fixed. To me, its a major issue, applications should start and exit properly, they should not leave processes hung in memory.

The bandanna wearing geek comment was a reference to they types of people who used to run UNIX backends at isp shops.. the Red Linux bandanna was very popular. I think because it matched their pimples and stuff.

The commie and terrorist comment was a joke. Geez, a little levity. If you are willing to work for free, because you enjoy it so much, there is something wrong with you. Only in software development does this occur. I cant get an apprentice plumber out to fix my taps for free. I just think its odd that people want to give something away is all.. The communist / terrorist remark referred to the free labor.

And my blanked condemnation of the Firefox browser shouldn't upset you so.... Firefox blows. Its not your fault. I mean some people think ABBA was a great rock group, It doesn't mean everyone is going to like them. Web browsers for some people are like cell phone wallpaper. Totally useless gadget where they want to have the coolest thing. Great. Go Nuts. At least Firefox wont jazz your system like Netscape used to.

please note that IE is also running in the background. Good luck getting rid of that btw, oh and with IE running you're also open for activeX calls especially if you're not otherwise properly protected ... that's allways a good way to get a bunch of nice spyware into your system and that's allways nice right?

And if you wanna compare to cellphone wallpaper, I'd have to say that IE is a better match than firefox ... ie doesnt even follow the html language because M$ wanted you to be able to create webpages with fancier colors through css ... oh and that lead to another security fix cause 2 lines of code would delete half your files in an instant....

BTW it was only the redhat distribution of linux that had the red bandanas ... only wimpy windows users tried to switch to redhat cause they couldnt live without their gui interfaces

  9. Faith, the crashing is a known issue in Firefox. Not everyone has issues, thats why they are having such a hard time fixing it I guess. What People? You mean the other 80% of web users? I dunno, I always thought that at about 51 %, the word most was quite applicable. Check out the Mozilla Foundation.. ROTFLOL.. what for? You think Im some kind of bandana wearing geek? Get a life. Not everyone likes firefox, it is not that much better. Since you have to wait for a tab to load before opening another, I find the feature quite useless. Its far better in IE to use the task bar.

And how many security releases have M$ patched on IE and Outlook??

  10. wow I most have been an exceptional learner :P

My wife took me to a parking lot and showed me the basics, and a couple of trips on less traveled roads before I got my learners permit, had that for a week and passed the drivers test.

Don't think there was any yelling at any point

A couple of days later I got my first taste of rushhour highways when I started a job 60 miles away from where we live
