  1. Just got my email from the NVC essentially informing me that I can pay my AOS fee, to get the NVC process rolling. It's especially nice, as it came through just as I was saying goodnight to my wife.

I hope more folks that are in the NVC process are getting the same notice (or already got it).

Update: I just got another email that seems to be specific to paying the AOS fee. The first email just provided my NVC case number, Invoice ID Number, and Beneficiary ID Number.

    Congrats!!

Hey you have received case number couple of days ago right???

How long does it took to get the email from NVC?

Yesterday i got my NVC case number and invoice number but it is showing invalid??

Could you please guide me on the same.

    Thanks

  2. I know that many of you were known to this question or this is already exists , I am posting this straight FAQ, so that people just check these things and find easy to pay the bills,

    Thanks

  3. any news? what's what/up ?

Oh yeah, I called NVC on Wednesday and Thursday both, both operator told me to contact NVC again in couple of weeks.

What I can see from spreadsheet is till next Wednesday I should get my Case number. I have started calling them daily. May be some day will be mine :)

Thank you so much for all the support you have provided. I hope you doing good.

I will sure let you know as soon as I get any update, you have helped me a lot. :)

  4. I was searching NVC possible errors while paying bills or login, so far I found two with their solutions ( pasted below). If anyone knows about other NVC errors Please post it with their solutions so that it could be helpful and people won't panic

    Error #1

I just got the email to make payments after obtaining case number & IIN last week. When I tried to signin with my Case #, and IIN, it says :

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

I am on the phone with NVC waiting for my call to be picked up.. any idea why will they terminate.. and what should I do ? !!!

Answer: Don't worry, this is completely normal. Give it a day or so....

    Error #2

when i Login , it returned below message !

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Is that buck or should i need to wait or do call back to NVC ??????

Answer: You have to atleast wait for 2-3 days for them to set up your case.

  5. Yes of course you can contact NVC, since you have your name in a case too. I'm beneficiary too, and I have called NVC multiple times to know the status about my case. It is always recommended to call rather than sending an email. If you Email them you might get late response so better call them on this below number.

    NVC contact number : +6033340700

Before you call them please go through this link

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

So you will understand at what time you should call them.

Preferred timing to call NVC are

    OFF-PEAK Calling Times:
    7am to 10am (EST)

    8pm to midnight (EST)

(NOTE: it will always take atleast 30 to 40 minutes to reach to an operator, So call them using skype or any other application which has lower calling rates)

    Best wishes.

  6. Thanks, AmberG! And CONGRATS!!!

I've hsard from a few people that they aren't receiving notifications about their NOA2. I think if people are still waiting, maybe they should call USCIS... I can't remember, but I think the automated system will tell you the status of your petiton.

    Hello,

Actually my case was received by NVC on 19th of March not on 20 th of March, I guess till next thursday I should get case number.

  7. The only thing I noticed that was faster was like said before you don't have to do the DS 261. So we got both our invoices at once about 2 weeks after the NVC received our case. For me it was worth having an attorney to double check all the paperwork. Our attorney didn't insist on waiting for the invoices to show paid before sending in the documents. But we were approved 2 weeks later so it wasn't that big of a deal to wait.

Thanks for letting me know this thing.
