  1. Hi, I hope to find everyone well.  After a few unforeseen delays, we are finally preparing my husband's AOS packet.  I have a few questions and hope someone can help me.

    1.  Do we need to send 2 passport pictures total or is it 6 pictures: 2 for the I-485, 2 for the I-765 and 2 for the I-131?

    2.  Do we need to complete the G-325A?  I was looking for examples of the cover letter and some have the G-325A listed and some do not which is causing some confusion.

    3.  Is the I-131 Advanced Parolee required?  We are not planning to travel to see his family till late 2018.

    4.  Can the check be sent for the total amount or does the biometrics fee have to paid in a separate check?

    5.  Do we need to send a copy of his birth certificate?  He turned one in when we went to the K1 appointment.  I can not find a clear answer on if we need to send a copy of it as well.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Eva

  2. Thanks so much. I'm happy now. I'm involved with a wonderful loving man and I feel very blessed to be out of that relationship. I invested over $10,000 dollars in him, the whole process, paid by me. I feel like the biggest idiot in the world, but it happens to the best of us. I'm better off now!

Look at your messages. I would take all the evidence to USICS and place it on his file.

  3. I read that the DS-157 is a supplemental form for males between 16-54(?) years old. I think he has to fill it out with the DS-156k.

I got my packet via email and the DS-156k was attached...2-3 days later I got the packet via dom postal service and it didn't have the DS-156k, and the instructions said to fill out that form.

Does your fiancé's instructions also say to fill out DS-156k as well?

I had gotten it by email and the DS156k was attached. With a list of what he has to take. With what he got in the mail it was the ds157. We will take both just in case. Better more information than less.

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Hi!

My fiance received his package yesterday (surprised knowing DR postal system is less than reliable). In the packet they sent a DS 157 to be filled out. Everything I have read on what to do after the NOA2 says this:

    -DS-160: (online) https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx

This form is required in order to obtain your K1 Visa. It replaces the DS-230, DS-156, and DS-157 forms. Make sure you print a copy (with barcode) for your records.

We only need the DS 156k. Someone that has recently has a cita in DR can you help?

    Thanks

  5. Hola!

    gracias!!!!

  6. Finally 8 days before hitting 6 months of our petition being sent I received the long waited text and email. We were approved!!! I had just emailed the director of service center operations and chief of staff earlier today. Dont know if it was that or reaching out to our congressman and senator, the email or just our turn. Doesn't matter at this point just happy this part is over.

To the TSC December, January and February filers its coming soon. Get on their case, call, email and get your senator involved. You dont lose anything by doing it.

    Best of luck to all!!

  7. No problem!!! :) Hope you guys can get approved...I am expecting for my case to be shipped to NVC...that's great that you contacted your senator and especially your congressman..Congressman do help!!..please keep me posted if you get approve!! I know how it feels to be waiting this long..I received my NOA2 after 6 months and 3 weeks starting from NOA1!

JUST GOT OUR NOA2 text and email! Soooooo happy!!!!

  8. Hey you guys, 3 weeks ago I read a post on the January filers thread that they have been contacting through e-mail these people from USCIS about the unfairness so maybe that's why they are approving them. I then contacted them and a few days later I received my NOA2 I also posted on the Dec. Thread about it and one December filer did it and also received their approvals within days! Also a November filer got approved.I don't know if it's just a coincidence. So please e-mail these people so you may receive you NOA2. I sent them an e-mail but they didn't reply but others have gotten a reply and he took a look at their case. Also contact your congressman now and don't wait.

Associate director for service center operations: donald.W.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov

    Chief of operatons/staff : susan.k.arroyo@uscis.dhs.gov

    Best of lucks!!

Thanks for the information. I just emailed both of them, hopefully we here something. I contacted the local senator and congressman, they have yet to hear anything. It will be a month on Friday I reached out to the senator. We are days shy of 6 months that it was sent. I knew there would be a wait, never imagined it would be this long.

  9. Thanks for your reply, now let me ask you, how did you do it when you had to send you Whatsapp logs? because it is a lot of pages...

I only sent a few pages with the petition. I have the rest for the cita. I will lug it all with me when the time comes. Voy a nececitar una maleta para eso solo. Worse part is from what I have read they dont even look at it. I also changed the font size and made the margins smaller so its more to page.

  10. We call through viber. It is free and it registers all the calls. Just need to be connected to wifi or have internet. You both have to have the app on your phone.

As far as your question....We met in October. Not online per say because I met him through a friend that grew up with him, but it was through Whatsapp. We communicated through Whatsapp, Viber, Tango, and Facebook. I also use Boss Revolution and Vonage (but it horrible). Official relationship as of 11/01 (6 months today), I bought my plane ticket to go see him 11/14. I went from 12/27-01/08. I sent the petition 02/10. Up to that point in whatsapp I had 500 pages of conversation and 250 in Facebook. Went to see him again with my 6 yr old 04/04-04/14.

I decided to send it as soon as possible because the process is long. I am a single mom too and those trips are not cheap. I can not afford to do 3 or 4 trips for a couple of years to then send a petition off and wait another almost year. From when I sent it to now I have double to proof of a legitimate relationship. I am planning another trip for July if we dont get our NOA2 before.

Go for it. No relationship is guaranteed. They dont look at length of time you have been together, just want to see its a legit relationship (not fraud.) You have seen him within the 2 yrs required before sending it so you are good.

    Best of luck!
