Just joining in to say hi, our I485s were accepted on 16th January this year, biometrics all done, EAD and AP in hand but no movement on our statuses since then (K1&2 applicants).
Looks like we've got at least another 5-6 months until we hear anything!
-
I am also January filers too, just wanna know how long did it take to get you guys social security cards in the mail from the day you applied for them. I'm still waiting mine, it's been 2 weeks now since I applied for it.
We applied a month ago for ours. My son's (K2) came in about a week but I had to be manually verified (no idea why) and I'm still waiting.

You just have one lot of biometrics taken, this covers your I485, your EAD and your advanced parole.

Our EADs and APs were approved yesterday (K1 and K2 applicants). No movement at all on the I485s but that's ok, we're not in a rush

Biometrics letter received today with a date of 17th February

Filed our AOS packet on 16th January and have just received our text and email acceptances. Funds haven't been taken out of our bank account although I'm guessing that'll happen soon too.

We received our e-mails and texts late this afternoon!
Lol, too funny! Congrats though

I mailed everything in on Jan 15th, tracking number says it was delivered on the 17th (a saturday) and we haven't heard anything from them yet :S
Hope to hear something today or tomorrow!
Anecdotally it looks like it can take 3-4 weeks to hear anything so I really wouldn't be expecting anything just yet. As with anything immigration related, some people's will be processed faster than others so, unfortunately, you just need to be patient.
For example, ours was received on 16th Jan and we haven't heard anything yet. Bet our timelines end up being completely different...
-
It's been 5 days since I e-mailed them 6 days tomorrow (14/10) Should I e-mail them again?
Dear God no! Nothing happens fast in immigration, you should know that by now!
It can take 4-6 weeks to receive an interview date, although most people receive one in about 2 weeks. try and put it out of your mind until at least the 21st October. But you WILL receive an interview date, you just need to be patient!

If you don't want an interview until January then just don't send in your readiness form until then.

Hi
I was wondering if its ok to send the same photo i sent with my original application for the medical and visa application? The photos are around 8 months old now but i look exactly the same. Should i get new ones done or go with these?
Thanks
Emma.
The instructions say the photos need to be less than 6 months old. Just follow the instructions!

Have you got a copy of your vaccinations to show the civil surgeon?
-
They'll put a card through your door so you can arrange a redelivery, either to the same address or a work address. Or yes, you can go an pick it up from the DX location. I think they'll try to deliver a couple of times but, after that, it'll be returned to the Embassy.

She has all the paperwork so I'm not sure now. She just said in a year of arrival we had to adjust status or refile something.
She can petition to remove the conditions on her green card 90 days before the 2 year anniversary in order to receive a 10 year greencard.
However, if you get divorced she can file straight away, no need to wait for the 90 day window.
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do now. Move on, try and put this behind you and keep smiling

Thanks for the input. I truly appreciate it. Upon researching similar cases here in VJ and given how far I would drive for an INFOPASS I will most likely just spend the $500 or however much it is on a new I-693. Still terribly upset with this incompetence that I paid thousands of dollars for... oh well
Where did you get $500 from?!
Even if the civil surgeon insists on a full medical, that should only set you back c. $200 - find one that actually knows what an I693 is and you're looking at $50-100 - there's a thread on here somewhere that lists helpful civil surgeons in your area...

Delayed? You haven't even reached 4 months yet! Once you get past 6 months then maybe start to look into pushing for an update. 6-7 months for TSC is normal, be patient!

A lot of money for nothing..., no way to do medicals and pay 1000 for the medicals.....
If you need a new medical it's not going to cost you $1000, maybe $100-200 depending on where you go. Ring around and ask what they charge.

Hey all,
We have just received our case number from the NVC. Do I really have to wait until the status says ready to book my medical or can I just go ahead and book it? I was thinking around the 22nd of September. Would that be enough of a buffer to make sure it is not a problem?
Many thanks
Why are you trying to mess around with the system? Just wait until your file is in London, like you're supposed to, and then book your medical

Why would you not adjust your son and get him a green card?
It is cheaper for him to adjust with you then to file separately from you.
Do the smart thing and adjust him when you file for yourself.
Parenting is about protecting your child.
By not adjusting your child, you put him in danger.
I would beg and borrow or sell my stuff to get the $500 (approximate) to adjust my child.
It's $635 if the child is under 14, $720 if the child is 14 or over. But yes, why would you not do this? It's so so important and keeps your child legal. Sell, borrow etc to get the money you need.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your advice and support so far. Yesterday i completed my medical in Knightsbridge, London. I have completed my readiness for interview form, and now im wondering what is a realistic timeframe before my interview?
Take care and good luck all!
Mathew
Have you submitted your DS260 as well? London won't schedule an interview until they have the completed DS260, your medical results and your readiness form.
Once they have all that it's normally a few weeks before your receive your interview date.

I've heard that 3-4 months is pretty normal if you keep on top of the paperwork and submit everything needed in a timely manner.
Mine only took 2 months (NOA2 - 12th June - Interview - 14th August) but I think we were just very very lucky!

in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

Hi everyone, just checking in. Still no movement at all for us, applications accepted on 16th January and our last update is that the fingerprint fee was accepted on 27th January. Our local office is Dallas which I know is taking at least 8 months to process adjustment cases but I have no idea where our files are right now, they could still be at NBC for all I know.
