    We finally got our approval notice in the mail!!! Yay!🤗🍾🎉

     

    We actually received a transfer notice via sms on august 16th and that were gonna be receiving a notice of transfer. The letter just came in today dated 8/16 and it says approval notice! We waited 1 yr and 10 months.

    no N400

    We also got the same 18month extension letter yesterday. I’m a csc filer but the letter came from Potomac Service Center. No n400

    We just went to our interview and we got APPROVED! CARD ORDERED! :) relieved! No EAD/AP yet but wont be needing it anyway, was told that I can throw it if I receive it as its useless. She stamped my passport with temporary I-551 which is valid for 6months without even asking, but card may be delivered in 10 days.

    Hoping you guys get your updates soon as well!

    To those who got their interview date, did you receive an i-797c interview notice from NBC or form G-56 interview notice from Local Field office? And what did they ask you to bring at the interview?

    I got a form G-56 interview notice and they are requesting me to bring "this letter, your passport and any supporting evidence in support of your application, i.e. Joint bank account statements, leases, joint tax returns, health insurance policy, auto insurance policy, etc. and be sure the petitioner accompanies you to this interview." This is exactly what's written in the notice.

    My wife and I are visiting the Philippines this summer to visit her family. She already has her GreenCard. Our question is will she be required to pay an Travel Tax to exit the country or only the Airport Terminal fee? The Airport terminal fee is 600 peso but some people are telling us she will also have to pay a travel tax but then others say no that is only for the overseas workers.

    Can someone please help? This is the information I have gotten from the airport. doesn't the greencard make her a legal resident of the USA? So wouldn't that exclude her from this tax??? Very confused

    1. WHAT IS TAX?

    Answer: The travel tax is a levy imposed by the Philippines Government on the individuals (citizens of the Philippines, permanet resident aliens, and non- resident aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for more than one year) who are leaving the country irrespective of the place where the air ticket is issued and the form or place of payment, as provided for by Presidential Decree (PD) 1183, as amended:

    2. WHAT ARE THE TRAVEL TAX RATES?

    First Class Passage Economy Class Passage Full Rate PHP 2,700.00 PHP 1,620.00 Standard Reduced Rate PHP 1,350.00 PHP 810.00 Privileged Reduced Rate for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) dependents PHP 400.00 PHP 300.00 Processing Fee per Certificate PHP 200.00 PHP 200.00

    A Travel Tax of PHP 1,620.00 shall be collected from every departing passenger at the Clark International Airport (CRK)

    Greencard holders still need to pay but for just a minimal or reduced travel tax around 220 pesos.

    When she gets naturalized then thats the time PH tax is waived whenever she leaves Philipines.

    And note to those to fly first time even with any residence permits of other countries, full cost of travel tax will be collected.

    Terminal fees are required for EVERY PASSENGER.

    i've got my ISSUED status yesterday and i want to check and track my visa/passport but once i enter my passport number or tried to enter my manila case # but there is no status update available for the passport number submitted. what does it mean? any other way to check my visa/passport and trace?

    If youre a k1 or non-immigrant visa applicant, use your UID from ustraveldocs (the number beside your email address on your dashboard or the number below the barcode of the appointment confirmation page).

    All Immigrant Visa applicants may use their case number that starts with MNLXXXXXXXXXX.

    Yes hehe.. just done packing..hehe thank you. Now, in my ticket.. they put together my first and 2nd name when it should be separated.. will i have problems on that at the airport?

    E.g.

    Wrong- CHRISTINEMAE

    Right- CHRISTINE MAE

    Definitely NOT a problem :)

    That's how airlines put pax names on their system.

    SURNAME/FIRSTNAME or

    SURNAME/FIRSTNAMEMIDDLENAME

    The system does not allow spaces for names.

    I got my visa yesterday at around 5 pm. I had to keep on tracking it to 2GO website and I even called them..

    I just wanted to thank everyone for all the support and prompt reply to every queries . You guys helped alot!
