  1. While you are at Cambodia, try to check your case status online each day. You can also check US embassy website in phnom penh for your interview date. They updated interview date every Friday. You can also contact US embassy at Phnom Penh to find out the status of your case too. The phone number can be list on their website. For K-1, usually the US embassy will contact your finance' for interview date. Hope this info might help a little...enjoy your vacation!

  2. On the US side is easy, but Cambodia side is headache. I noticed you stated you already have background check letter and single status letter from your county, but also include your employer and income verification letter (must be original) and your tax transcript - just incase need them. The Cambodian government need those.

  3. She can walk in to apply for police certificate after her medical examine appointment. Both result will be different day. They will contact your fiancé once completed. The fee for police certificate is $2.5 as of 2014 and about 40 days turn around. The medical is around $90-125 and maybe a week turn around. good luck

  4. I guess there might a reason why the CO feel some suspicious of our case is..my wife passport has been renew last year but I have not updated to DS-260 and her current address also changed which I also not updated yet...other than this 2 things, I am confident that my paper works is good. I'm about to email the NVC to allow me to go back to DS-260 to edit/update those 2 things. Any advise? or should I wait until my case send back to CIS?

  5. I've been sad and depressed since last week. My wife interviewed on Jan 16th, 2015. My wife said the interview went well, but in the end the CO gave the white paper 221G. The form stated that the CO believe our relationship is not genuine. I've been contacted my district representative, but does not get much help from them. I even email the Phnom Penh embassy, but seen like they don't let me appeal. They told me my case will send back to CIS. My wife and I dated since 2009 and got married Dec 2012. I don't know what to do now...I read the process online and found that currently what I can do is gather more evidence of our relationship and keep wait until CIS contact me....any advise will be appreciate!!! thanks all...

  6. My cased was completed at NVC as of July 9th 2014. Since then, more than six weeks already but no interview date yet. I've been calling the last couple of times, but they keep telling me to wait. Is NVC backlog or something happen, why take so long to schedule interview date...I never hear anything good about NVC. I wish someone petition or file a case to the Congress against NVC so they can process case faster...

  7. NVC do that to make you feel the pain...as it happened to me. I have to re-done and re-sent my wife police certificate 3 times and resent another marriage certificate because NVC checklist said it's not original. At first, I thought was a false checklist, but guess not. It delayed my case for 4 months...I was pissed and called them up every day and have a fight with them on the phone. Now my case is pre-completed at NVC, just wait for interview appointment...

as on your case, if you think you send everything, then chances it's a false checklist, good luck on your case.

  8. I received a checklist yesterday asking for Cambodia Police Report and Marriage Certificate. I submitted both Original Native language and English Translation by government stamps on it. I don't know if this is a false checklist...help me...I'm worry...I gave everything original and they said it's not, I don't know what else to give them then....any advice...? thanks
