Thanks everyone!
I am now putting together packet for citizenship. A new adventure begins...

After faxing a letter to my Congressman last Thursday, I was pleasantly surprised to get the email "card production was ordered today"!
It's been a LONG journey, but I'm glad it's over.
All those waiting as long as I have (or longer)... write that letter! It works!

Sorry to hear, but why not just file by yourself? Just read the instructions before completing the I-751.

Last year when applying for the ITIN, we took the passport in to the IRS directly, and got a received stamp placed on our copy of the return and W7. No way was I sending passport in the mail, and when I had phoned in to the IRS they said they needed to see the original.

Hopefully, no one has a pet outside right now. It's horrible outside! Snow and ice...

I've heard that they look at joint returns as a type of 'togetherness'. My problem is that my husband has bad debts, and I don't want to be penalized for this. These debts were created before we got married. For now, my only option is to file the 'Injured Spouse Allocation' form with our return.

I was just wondering if anyone has filed 'Married filing Separate', and not had issues/RFE from USCIS when it came time to submit copies as supporting documentation?
