We were finally able to talk to a representative and were told that my wife’s case is in fact in the Texas Service Center. So, God only knows how much longer this will take. Has anyone else who was a Sept 2017 filer been transferred to the TSC?
We are now at TSC 😫

We got transferred to Mesquite, TX too. Does anyone know how long it has been taking them to review cases there ? 😩

Another week of waiting, watching and hoping begins .....ho hummmmm

Filed Aug 25th, case was at VSC
Wow! Congrats !!! 🎉🍾🥂thus wait is so frustrating. Seems like every time it’s our turn there’s a ridiculously long delay! Happens every step of the way! From k1 that should have been 3-4 months took 6-8. Then the waiting for AP and on and on. Really ridiculous !

Does anyone know how much time it takes to receive the card after approval status is posted.
I received an approval notice and it says it can take up to 60 days and I should not travel during this waiting period.
You should not travel ???? Even w the passport stamp?? This is nuts! What if you already have a family vacation planned. God this process is stressful. 😫

Congratulations on the approval!
We got the approval on the 16th and received the card on the 23rd. It was sent USPS Priority mail.
Are you using the number from bio letter or Noa letter?
-
Did you use the case number from your first letter or the biometrics letter ?
-
We received an 18 month extension letter as well but too bad we already got the stamp in the passport and they took the green card then. 💆🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️😩this is like a corn maze with no exit.
-
Just got the infopass stamp for a year and they kept the green card and the officer said the case is still sitting in the Vermont office even though we moved and sent a change of address. 😔 no clue when this will even be looked at. So now we have to go everywhere with this passport 😲. Yikes!

I just spoke to a tier 2 officer, who stated that; the transfer to local office update on my case, was a wrongful update. He believes its a system glitch, since in his system he observed that my case is still in Vermont. He also stated that my case could take a year and whenever my file is moved to a local office I will get related correspondence in the mail.
I’m pretty sure it’s a glitch. First they said feb 26 then they said March 5. 😔 how sad. Can’t wait for all of this to just be done. I hope the year they say it’s going to take us actually not even longer!

Your lender seems to be unaware of the rules. I have few friends who got approved on H1 visa which is not even LPR. I haven't heard any lender speculating future and denying. Is it too late to switch lenders? I can let you know the lenders who don't have this rule so that you can try your mortgage from them.
Let me
try to see if they accept
the infopass information because I really dread going through this process again and them hitting our credit with inquiries etc. He’s completely legal and will still be that’s what I am
insisting with them. So damn ridiculous. They need to get informed and im
the one to show them
the way. Ignorant fools.

What bank are you going with for a mortgage? That might be the problem right there.
Obviously not the right bank lol
Where’s the info for the infopass stamp that extends this beyond that damn letter please anyone ?

LPRs are fine to obtain a mortgage. The most common issue is they usually don't have much of a credit history, so (like anybody without a credit history), they may have some difficulty finding a lender willing to offer a loan.
Credit is fine .

So bizarre . We are filing jointly too. They think as soon as his extension letter expires he’s suddenly going to get shipped out.

Not sure where you got this from, but I applied (and got approved for) a mortgage as a permanent resident just fine.
I am
being
told
the underwriter might have an issue because the green card extension letter will
expire and I’m trying to explain that it doesn’t mean the residency expires as it’s still in progress . So im
tying to find proof it doesn’t mean he’s suddenly illegal he just has to get the infopass stampmfor extension until we get a response.
-
Why can’t permanent residents apply for a mortgage ?

I can’t believe it takes so long!!!
longer then get a green card in a first place!
When time comes closer to September we have to find out what to do next if we still have no permanent GC.
If the year is up you have to get a stamp for another extension in your passport. I just reminded hubs we have to check his passport expiration date.

I recently traveled to the Dominican Republic and got back couple days ago. The person at check-in counter asked for the extension letter to process my boarding pass. A same smooth process at JFK New York CBP officer asked for extension letter and welcomed me back.
Was it a copy of the letter or the original ?

yes I think he should be able to apply with you. From the info I got while processing our own mortgage, all they need is his credit report and social sec number as we were told that Permanent residency doesn't expires but the card may expire. However, mortgage companies requirements are different so you might wanna check with yours first.
Great thanks !!!!

God I just had a total heart attack thinking we forgot our biometrics appointment!!!! We didn't ! We went on oct 5th! I seriously had to look through the calendar to see what the hell we did !!! I'm so sick of this process omg! I think watching the news and seeing how families are being torn apart is getting to me. Ugh. And now it's 2018 and I'm in shock
we are STILL in this process!!!! I just want to cry! Sorry done venting ! Lol
now on to other things. Can my husband, who's the one lifting conditions , apply with me in a mortgage if he's in this limbo status ?

Yes you wait, and there is no deadline....
There is no requirement in law to get an extension stamp once your initial extension letter expires, before it expires , or indeed, at all.
It is of course sensible to do so - and in many cases will be needed for travel and renewal of drivers licenses etc - but don't panic if you have not done so when it expires, as you can get one at any time.
Nope. 3 year anniversary of becoming a LPR. Eligible to file on that basis if still living in marital union with the same spouse you gained permanent residence from, and you can file 90 days before the 3 year anniversary.
No, but as above, you aren't eligible anyway.
Yep.
Well that sucks!
-
So now after biometrics we wait ? And make sure we don't miss our deadline of expired extension letter ! We need to make the infopass appointment within 30 days if the extension expiring right?
Man this hurry up and wait stuff sucks.
Mis anyone filing for citizenship? Our 3 year wedding anniversary is coming up and I think that's the point you can file for that? Does it null this RoC if we go that route ?

Finally CARD IN HaNd! Wow! After an rfe and so much delay before that...!!!! We made sure we gathered enough and then some for the rfe! This is done now for ten years? Do we have to file yet again for another card after ten years ?!?!
