Hey everyone,
If a person leaves the country while their AOS is still processing, will that person be able to return to the states on a tourist visa? Granted, I understand that the person will no longer be able to obtain a green card.
Thanks,
Daniella

Thank you for the quick response! When I sent the AOS, I only sent the I-864 my father filled out, which lead to the RFE for my I-864...
I have a few more concerns that I will try to state as simply as possible.
1. In part 5, number 7 of the Affidavit of support, should I check 1 for my dad?
2. Part 6, number 6, should I include my father? If so, should I check off number 10?
Thank you for all the help. I hate to sound annoying, but I want to resolve this as soon as possible...

Hello everyone,
I am having a hard time filling out the paperwork because of my situation. I am an unemployed, full-time student and depend on my father for finances, which is why he is the primary sponsor for my husband. However, looking over question 1 on part 3, it does not give me the option to check off "no" as a sponsor unless there are two joint sponsors. What on earth do I do?
A little background information:
- I worked for a few months in 2013 so my tax transcripts show less than $1,000. (I know, very low)
- I am dependent of my father (he makes well above the poverty line)
- I live in an apartment with my husband. (under my/my dad's name)
Please, please, please help me out. My stress levels are skyrocketing...
Thank you so much,
Daniella

Thank you for the response
So I send my tax transcript from 2013 even though I never filed my taxes for 2013? (I only worked for a couple of months that year- it is substantially low)

Hi everyone,
I have received a request for evidence stating the affidavit of support was submitted, but not from the petitioner/sponsor. My father filled out the form stating he is the joint sponsor because I did not make enough money. Also, I filed taxes for only one of the three years because I made below $2,000.00 (I was a student and the year I did file for taxes I also made below 2 grand). This is the part I need a little clarification:
1.) Do I, the petitioner, send an affidavit of support regardless of not filing taxes for two out of the three years?
2.) Should I send a transcript for the one year I filed even if it was below 2 grand, or should I just send the i-864 paperwork without tax transcripts/w-2 forms?
3.) If I have to send the tax transcripts/w-2 forms, should I include a letter stating why I never filed for two of those three years?
I am really worried and would really appreciate the help....
Thanks,
Daniella

Hey there,
I am in the process of filing all of the paper work for my AOS since my K1 visa has expired. For the advance parole, is it true I need to submit a letter explaining why I deserve the AP?? I realize the from says it is not necessary to send this evidence if I have the USCIS receipt as evidence that the I-485 has been filed, but I have not submitted my paperwork yet...
key question: attach letter of evidence to my advance parole? yes or no.
Thanks!

Shouldn't it be working by now?

Thank you very much for your help!

Basically, it would be another signed letter of intent and the I-134. The optional documents do not need to be mailed, rather brought to the interview. Is that correct?

My fiancé is from Spain and he received his packet 3. What documents am I required to send him in order to apply for his interview? The only thing that pertains to me is the I-134. Am I missing anything else? Please help!

By the way, the transcripts are free!

This just made my day!! Thank you so much!!!!!

So you think the transcripts will be accepted???

Excellent,
Thank you!

Is a tax return transcript printed off the IRS website sufficient?
I really appreciate all the help
-
Thank you!
One more question, do you think the W-2 is sufficient? I can't find my tax returns :/
-
Hi everyone,
I am a little confused with the I-134. You see, my father is going to co-sponsor my fiancé because I am a student and I do not work. I know for certain that I must fill out a form, but does that mean I also have to include my W-2 and tax returns from my old job? I stopped working in 2012.
Also, my father told me he submitted an affidavit of support for someone 20 years ago but is not 100% sure of her name. His memory is awful... Is there anyway I can look that sort of information up?
Thanks!
Daniella
