I have filed on 12-29-14 and we haven't heard anything since January. We have received a potential interview wavier case letter on April 20th. I just did a case inquiry on September 11th. Still haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone else had this long of a wait?

I have emailed the embassy and the officer gave my fiance the wrong information. I have sent them the correct form that they need and I am hoping to hear from them soon. Nothing on the CEAC website has changed. Thank you all for your help!

for joint sponsor also you have to fill out I 864 ....there is a part on that form that say "only for joint sponsor" select that one.
is your visa in AP?...mine fiance and other members say AP but is when is missing something in my case is MEDICAL RESULT missing.
do they gave you back the passport?
do they told you that they go to send you the visa as soon they receive the missing documents?
this questions are because you have to be sure you are approved.
hoping this was.
good luck!!!!
They did not give back his passport and they did tell him that all he needs is the joint sponsor and he will be good.
Thank you for your response. It has helped me clear up a few things.

who requested the I864? Are you sure that is correct? K-1 applications completed I-134. He should have received a 221g that states what is required.
I had him send me a picture of the paper that the officer gave to him and it was checked that he needs the joint sponsor to fill out the I-184 and copy of their tax transcript. So I know he didn't hear wrong. I am wondering now if the officer gave him the wrong information.

Then you're not approved. They can't approve you if you don't meet all the requirements, and if they're asking for a sponsor, you don't.
Thank you for your response. I was confused when he told me.
I have another question... I have emailed the documents and form I-184 that the embassy had requested. Will that be good enough or will they want me to mail a hard copy of the form and supporting documents?

No, we don't have it yet. They said that he was approved but he needed to get a joint sponsor.

Hello everyone!
I am so happy that my fiance has received his visa on June 13th, 2014. We need a joint sponsor, so I have a few questions about sending in the information. They are requesting the form I-184 instead of the I-134. I had my joint sponsor fill out the form and got the other supporting documents together and emailed them to the embassy. So my questions are:
Do I have to actually mail it in or does emailing the documents good enough?
On the CEAC website our status still says "No status" how long does that take to change?
I want to thank everyone for their help from this site. It was very helpful.

Thank you so much for posting this.

I get the same thing when checking our status as well. I sent in my DS 160 to the embassy requesting an interview date, so I am not sure what to think about it saying no status.

I emailed the ds 160 to kingstonNIV@state.gov requesting an interview date. Is this the correct email or is there another email I was supposed to email it to?

Hi everyone. I am confused to what to do in order to receive an interview date from the embassy. I received my NOA2 on April 11th and still have not yet gotten our packet 3. He has been checking the post office everyday. I am having my fiance gather the documents needed for the interview (thanks to other posts). We have also filled out the DS 160 and have a copy of the conformation page.
My questions are:
Do I wait until I get the packet three to move forward with sending in the forms to the consulate? Or go ahead and send them asap?
What forms exactly do I need to send to the consulate in order to receive an interview date? And does anyone have an example of what to put in the email?
Do I pay the $240 fee at the embassy or before? ( I have read people doing both, so not sure)
Thanks to everyone who is helping, it is most appreciated.

Thank you for your help. I already sent my forms out and I am worried about him not getting his paper work. I asked my fiance and he thinks it will be fine, even though I did not put a PO Box in the postal code area.

I am wondering if I filled out my form out correctly as well.
I did
Address: Bucksfield District
City/Town: Ocho Rios
Province: Saint Ann's Bay
Country: Jamaica
Is he going to have troubles receiving this papers because I did not enter in a postal code or a PO Box?

I checked our case on the USCIS website and nothing has been updated since January. I had received at NPIW on April 20th, 2015 and I still haven't heard anything. I just did a case inquiry on Sept. 11, 2015 and I should receive a reply by October 3rd. Hopefully we hear something soon.
