  1. Hey I got the copies of the aos and other supporting docs in the mail from where the attorneys filled it out. I have 4 kids but they only put 2 of them as dependants probably because of what the divorce decree says and or my w2s where I'm allowed to claim 2 at the end of the year!? Oh my goodness! And line 7 of part 3 where it says total#of immigrants you are sponsoring They put 0 in that box yet in part 5 where it says enter # you entered on line 7 of part 3 they put a 1 there!? Omg! I don't get it? Why I hope I don't get a check list! Ugh

  2. I called nvc yesterday and they said they sent email to my attorney May 7 regarding the fees and I asked for case number and they gave me the case number. Then I called the attorney and told him and he said he hadn't received any email so I gave him the case number and he asked for the invoice number and said I didn't get that from them. WHY didn't they give me the invoice when they gave me the case#when I asked for it? Totally spaced it and now I have to wait for Monday to call nvc again ugh....

  3. Why would NVC tell me i have to wait "30 business days"? Is that a "set time"? Until I get a case number? Or randomly do they just pull case numbers outta their a&& on any given day?frustrating because I don't know what's going on..."like always", this thread isn't like the last thread from June 2013 filers at uscis! Uh could I get a case # "BEFORE" the "30 business days"? Should I keep calling NVC even though they told me "April 2nd" they received my case? Tons and tons of questions....haaaaay! My attorney said he would do the 260 form for me. Should I even "WORRY" because I got am attorney? Or?????

  4. I have an attorney as well. Ironic thing about it is that it's her uncle that is attorney! Just passing the fees is all and I am so glad! because I would have never been able to do this on my own. God just has a way of working things so awesome!

I have an attorney too and if I waited for him to pay our fees I would still be waiting. :clock: So I just paid them the second they were available. I have done EVERYTHING so far. I am still not sure why I paid him . LOL !! and why did your attorney send money orders? That seems odd to me. Its 2014, they should be up on the electronic age.

  5. How did you get a case number when they told me that I had to wait 30 business days for my case to update in their system? have you waited 30 Business days? Just curious?

I just got off the phone with the NVC and they gave me the case number. :) But, there's something I'm a little confused about: after I asked for the IIN and received it, the gentleman on the phone asked me if I wanted the Beneficiary Number and I said sure. What exactly is the Beneficiary Number? Is this something I completely missed in Saylin's guide? Thanks!

  6. Called the NVC today and they told me they received my case on April 2nd. THEY DID NOT tell me invoice Id number. They just said that I had to wait 30 "business days" for the case to update in their system. Anyway I told myself i would not get on here and worry my pretty little head off. I'm just letting you all know my PD is June 10 June filer. And I think I'm in the right thread this time.

  8. I hope it is soon for you...as of "anytime now" soon...

Its so funny that some time back I saw an approval in April thread and the guy got approved in like 10 months and he said that I got the approval but I m not happy at all. Because it should have happened way before. And I thought it my head that how can it be possible that someone is not happy with their approval. But that's exactly how I feel right now even thinking about it. I have no excitement or happiness left whatsoever. God knows when I m gonna get it but Its definitely gonna be bittersweet.

  9. My RFE took 42 days

    Hi everyone,

We filed on June 17th 2013 and have not received an approval yet. On March 7th we received RFE, to my surprise the request was a for a passport size photo which I already included in the file initially. I am wondering why would they need that if they already had it? Were they buying more time - I am not sure.. We sent that right away.

They have mentioned in the letter that it can take 60 days. Does anyone know how long does it take usually after the RFE is submitted? We are already past the average processing time, is there any way to expedite our case or know what's happening with it. The people over the phone are just reading off the website and don't have any additional information. I have read some posts where people have sent letters to their local senator to escalate this. Can I do that or will it prolong the process.

Please shed some light if you have any insight on such situation.

    Thank you and good luck!!

    Soni

  10. More information please? What is a checklist? and what's fastest approval from nvc that you've seen?... so I can get my hopes up! Thanks bos for everything in helping :)

Back from a lovely week away, congratulations to all the recent approvals! I hope they finish up June filers this month... sending warm wishes to all of you still waiting.

The IV fee is $230. There isn't an exact waiting time at NVC. You can help the process along by being prepared for each step, but estimate one month from NVC receiving your case until you get your case number, and then another 2-3 months for processing (more if you get a checklist).

What are the steps that happen now? The procedure?

More information please? What is a checklist? and what's fastest approval from nvc that you've seen?... so I can get my hopes up! Thanks bos for everything in helping :)
