I was thinking to do and extention, and send my W2 so that i dont have to update my I864, they might ask for a new I864 with 2013 data on it, what u say?

yea I was going to send copies of tax returns and w2's. I doubt they would ask for an updated 864 as that gets processed here with the NVC. But then again I may be wrong if anyone has any info regarding this matter please do chime in and let us know. thank you.

I havent had my tax returns done yet.. but I will be getting them done in the next month or so. Most likely I will send over a copy because the interview is scheduled for late April.

I know...it's a long time. But i am happy after this long wait. where is ur interview at?

Mumbai should be getting them soon. They scheduled for New Delhi today.

I am happy to announce to everyone that my journey finally ended yesterday. My wife had her interview and her visa was approved. She spent a little over five hours at the embassy becuase the scheduled all IR1/CR1 interviews thesame day. She said the CO only asked her for her supporting documents (mostly pics and phone records) and my Nat Certificate. No personal questions about me or our relationship which was kind of suprising to me. I am in cloud 9 right now.

I would say the best thing to do is get a new passport made with all the updates info. as the Indian gov, might give you a hard time.

I just got off the phone with NVC regarding my wife's case. They said my file was approved this past Friday February 21, and is waiting to be sent to Mumbai consulate. My question was how long does Mumbai take to schedule interview date? Also what preparation does my wife need to do for her Interview date? any and all help greatly appreciated. thank you.

if you have your nvc case # and IIN number you shoul dbe able to log in.. first you will have to fill out ds261..then pay aos fee..

give it another week or so, and then call nvc everyday until they are able to provide you with a case #. They wont contact you so its better to contact them atleast once a day or if you have time time couple times a day. thats what I did but sometimes it does take 3-4 weeks so dont be disappointed. GL

I believe all of the 864's only ask for one year of tax forms but from what i've read its better to send last 3 years. I sent in w2's and paystubs also as extras just incase. they may not be needed but its better to send extra proof of support then to not have enough.

wait about 2 weeks or so.. and then start calling nvc every day.. few times a day if you have the time until they can provide you with IIn #. my noa2 said wait 30 days and if nothing shows up in mail contact up. I contacted nvc on day 28 and they said they just received my case couple days ago and will email me when its processed. 3-4 days later I received an email containing all the info i need to log in online and fill out my ds-261 and pay my aos fee.

yes it takes a few days for it to update online after you receive the email. same happened to me and waited 2-3 days and it was available to pay. If i were you I would log in couple times a day to see if its available to pay. once you pay online it will take 3 business days to clear payment and only then you can start to fill out the ds-260. hope that helps.

I already have a copy of his citizen cert. and his paystubs which show the same address. My dad's income alone is enough and I already have his last 3 years of tax transcripts. Just wasnt sure which forms I would need to fill out. SO just to be clear I being the petitioner fills outs a 864, my father is going to joint sponsor needs a 864A correct? I was going to send in a 864A for my mom as well just incase if NVC required it. thank you.

also since we are related and living under the same roof, do I need to send proof of relation bettween my father and I? Like a copy of our drivers license that shows pic. & the same address

hi, Im a little confused as to which forms I will need to file. Im a USC living in the USA and filing for my wife who is a Indian citizen living in India.

Its time for me to send my affidavit of support packkage., the fee is already paid. My income is not sufficint so my dad is going to be joint sponsor. I know I will need to file 864 for myself, but for my dad does he need to file a 864 or 864 A? we all live in the same household and my parents yearly taxes are filed together. Also is a 864A needed between any of us? thank you in advance.
