    My K1 story, maybe can help some people...

    Hi Guys!

    This is what happend to me (sorry for bad english, i'm french...)

    My Timeline :

    April 18th 2013 send the petition

    Mai 12th 2013 approuved

    July16th 2013 packet 3

    September 6th 2013 packet 4

    September 21st :ready to schedul in interview.

    Try to get and interview date, nothing available ...Till...

    on october 26th, finally get an interview date wich was jan 13th 2014...

    I was happy to get a date, but again, the wait was too much for me...

    Everyday, i was looking for another closer date on CSC, and out nowhere, i got one for Nov 25th 2013!

    I was so happy i could'nt beleive it...

    Cancelled my first interview date (jan 13th 2014)

    And got confirmation for my Nov 25th 2013...

    Everything goes well, interview in 5 mins, got approuved.

    Then: NOTHING until...

    I was freaking out, reading post on canadien that had the same interview date and already got their visa a week after...

    Was praying to spend christmas whit my fiance...was make all sort of senarios on my case,reading thoses horror story on the forum...was terrible.

    until...

    The day after, my previous first interview date (jan 13th 2014) ...

    My case finally opened

    janv 14th case open

    jan 15th AP

    jan 17th issued

    jan 22 in hand.

    So basicly, they never touch my case till the first interview date.

    Witch it's not cool, because i would have done something else in my life then going on CSC website every seconds during thoses terrible 2 months.

    Is it a mistake from them? Is it the way it works?

    Well i never saw any explanation on that anywhere.

    I just tought it may give tip to someone who have maybe this situation...

    Anyway, drama is done

    Leaving for DC tommorow, dream come true

    I wish i can give a medal to everyone that goes into that process!!!

    wow!!! i feel like everyone as something to advise you!!!!

    you should be motivated!

    me after 7 months in my mother house waithing for my visa, i was just doing anything i could.

    beside, i am a professional acrobat from cirque du soleil, i've been doing all king sort of jobs, construction, cleanning,veggies,teaching acrobatics...tv...on so on...

    really I was not happy waiting but beleive me , once i touch the US ground, (and my boyfriend)

    i am more than motivated!!!!!

    Hey!

    So I first got an interview on Jan 13th 2014

    Got lucky, ad got on on Nov 25th instead

    Got approved

    Since then no news nothing changed...

    On CEAC use to show:

    READY

    Case open:21 august 2013

    Updated status:(always updated to READY,every 2 days since...)

    Bellow was:

    You are now ready to take appointment for interview...bla...bla.....

    Now today

    Says:

    READY

    Open case:January 14th 2014

    Updated status:January 14th2014

    Below says:

    You are ready for interview...bla...bla...

    But if you already had interview,wait 2 business days to see your status...

    What that mean?

    Looks like they never opened my case before the date of my first schedule interview...?

    What's new now?

    I've been calling them since Nov 25th, and they keep ed told me it was in AP...I'm could it...

    Anyone as an explanation or an example?

    Ok, so...new update in my case on CEAC...never heard of...

    first of all, The first time i scheduled my interview, (back in october 2013), my interview was janurary 13th 2014.

    few days after i scheduled, i decided to look again if there was another day closer for my interview.

    I got lucky, i reschedul for nov 25th 2013!

    Since ever , on CEAC its says:

    READY

    date or creation:august 14th 2013

    update status: (always updated everyday...)

    * you are now ready to schedul your interview...bla bla bla...

    And now today, out of the blue...

    READY

    date of creation:janurary 14th 2014?????

    update status:janurary 14th 2014

    *you are now ready to schedul your interview...blablabla...

    BUT if you already had it, wait 2 buisness days to see your status update.

    ???

    wonder if they just never open my case till my initial interview date...even if I was approuved.

    They never update to AP, but were always saying that when i called...Weird.

    If someone understand something in this, please let me know.

    I just wish it's a stept foward.....

    Since Nov 25th 2013,nothing changed on csc ...

    No responses from Montreal consul at

    Status on CEAC keep update to ready every 2-3 days

    When I call it says AP

    No extra doc.to send.

    Got approved whit the paper...?

    Anyone went trough this and finally got their visa?

    After all long?

    so sick of all this,the season goes and I just can't wait to start a family :(...

    All my documents had been translated except for birth certificate because in Montreal Quebec the consulat accept the french version.Another Sunday whit out my baby...wishing this week will be a good one...always so excited on Monday's, and get depressed when Friday is over...same old same ...

    Can i visit my fiance in the states while we appied for k1 visa

    for my experience,

    we started the k1 process in april 2013, i use to go from montreal to washington dc for a week from april to june by train, always mention that we were in a k1 process(i eard that u have to mentioned it...)

    I try to go by car in july and got denied, by an agent.

    She was rude,not helpfull and told me that if i ever try to cross border whitout my visa, i will be banned for 10 years, or not allowed to have a visa for EVER!!!

    thats how crazy it sound... they took my fingerprints...

    My fiance tried to have more infos, he ask for explanations and she said:you must kidding me!

    we had to turn around, and im back in montreal, at my mother since...

    got approuved on nov 25th 2013, but still on AP.

    bad bad bad experience!now, im just so scare of those people, already anxious to cross the border when visa in hands!!!

    Thanks for the info, i know, holidays slow everything...

    But sometimes, i wonder if it's because i am going to Washington DC that it takes so long...perhaps more checks?

    Anyway, im patient, i should wait another month before reaching whit congress people...

    I am just starting to become CRAZY...

    i HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD, I HAVE A DIPLOMA FROM nATIONAL cIRCUS SCHOOL OF MONTREAL.

    iVE BEEN WORKING FOR CIRQUE DU SOLEIL 7 YEARS IN lAS VEGAS...

    I CAN'T SEE ANY REASON FOR THAT AP...

    i dont understand the thing about congress person? how are they?
