  1. please can anybody tell me how get we get the interview date for fiance visa ? do the NVC or the embassy send me a letter ? or i apply for and interview date ? my case statu is "ready" from 20 nov 2013

please can anybody help me ?

Depending on what stage you are at the interview is way down the road and the last thing you do.

When our I129F got approved and sent to the NVC. The approved I129f certificate wording made it sound like we

contact the embassy in question although various other information on the process said to wait for the NVC to forward

    files to the your embassy.

In my confusion we started contacting the singapore embassy trying to make an appointment and got replies that

    were completely not helpful.

In the end you have to wait(for us 2-4 weeks) for the NVC to forward your files to your embassy. Then your embassy will

in 2-4 weeks send you what is called packet 3. Packet three took us 4 weeks to complete. then we sent back the requested

packet 3 data and it took 3 weeks to get packet 4 which is the letter stating our interview date.

Note: Most people get some kind of confirmation from NVC that they have your files. We never got that confirmation.

But there is a number you can call and a person will answer and tell you what is up with your file....But I forget the department

and number. Do a search under posts from kitthekat and she has that info somewhere in her posts

  2. Then moving Singapore related topics to the Philippine forum just because of the word CENOMAR is not the best move is it? Which in this case (and the time before when you did this) does nothing to help answer the OP's question, as NO ONE processing through the Manila embassy has a clue about the process for acquiring a CENOMAR per the embassy instructions letter for Singapore, as it is TOTALLY different. The best place for answers to the OP's question is from other Filipina's in SINGAPORE doing this process.... not the Philippines.

Stop obsessing on the word CENOMAR and focus on the question itself - How does this all work from SINGAPORE.

I agree I think the post should have been left alone. The poster was asking a specific question about what he is dealing with getting a Cenomar through Singapore. That's how I found the post and not by going to the Philipinnes. The moderator had a good idea to link it to Phillipines for others from other countries to maybe get help but the post should have stayed where the original poster posted the question which was the correct location. Now this thread is 50-60% of this off topic bs.

  3. actually it seems to be a recurrent question for filipino OFWs from all around the world - how to get CENOMAR from overseas, not just singapore. i don't think the asia east and the pacific regional forum is a good place for such queries just because the applicant in this case is going through the us embassy in singapore. sorry, i don't have a better suggestion for where to place such posts but i do think it's good it was placed in the philippines subforum because at least it got viewed and answered by a number of posters from the philippines who regularly visit this part of the site, as opposed to the asia: east and the pacific section which is largely a ghost town. just my opinion. smile.png

Did the Singapore Regional Discussion turn into Asia East Pacific?

  4. Working with the PH government offices from outside PH is a pain. The ecensus online filing went smooth but like you said there is no way to track where the cert is after that. I wrote the US Embassy in SG at one point and they said they did not have it but that was 5 weeks ago and we're just hoping it has arrived. As back up we actually have a Certificate that Rose's mother got in PH and mailed to us. Even though the checklist says it has to be mailed she will bring the one she has to the interview.

For us the Police Cert was a total pain in the butt. The online system in PH was down and to go through the PH embassy in SG we had to make an appointment which was 4 weeks. So I just flew Rose to Manila and she got one same day. Of course she had to take time off work and airfare etc but trying to get one from SG could have taken 2 months.

  5. I think Emirates is suppose to be really good. I have found/heard US airlines like American/United can be pretty uncomfortable on long journeys

Kat, How did you start this topic? I can't seem to figure out on this website how to start a new topic....LOL never mind I just figured it out!

  6. Hi Kat,

CONGRATULATIONS on getting your visa in your hands! Airlines: I have been pretty spoiled on Singapore Air.

You might check them out to SFO and then take Alaska air up to Seattle. Maybe you and your man can spend a

    day in SF.

    Best regards

    Martin & Rose

Kat, Did you opt for having your visa sent to you versus going to pick it up?

  7. Kitthekat,

On the 2nd page of this document it mentions another form that give the information for the medical group or person to go to. Can you post that or have you and how much did that process cost? I hear there are multiple things like the exam and xrays, immunizations etc each with fees

"Gah, the embassy forgot to take my oath and have asked me to return on Friday (20 Dec 2013) to do it. Not a big deal, just a bit of a hassle to request for time off again, travel there, etc. I'm guessing this also means there'll be a delay in getting my passport back. sad.png"

Sounds like you are just about done!

  8. Hi All, (thanks to those that responded!)

So like the poster here I have been insanely confused about what is happening after the NOA2 or approved I-797.

We got our approved NOA2 on Nov 21 and in email it said it was going to NVC but in the NOA2 it said it was

    going to the SGP consulate.

So we started working with the consulate and paid the S$312, completed the DS160, then they said to make

and appointment which there are non when we try.

So we have been in the dark.

Then I found this post and from a reply realized I could Call the NVC. So I just called the NVC and found out

they sent our files to Singapore on Dec 17, 2 days ago, and SG consulate received the files today Dec 19. YAY

This has been so frustrating. We have not received any notification from NVC like some of you have that NVC

    received our files from USCIS.

So I guess now we wait for SG consulate to contact us to get Packet3....at least we are out of the dark again for now!
