Hello Everyone.
My Greencard arrived today in the mail. I and my wife are extremely happy. This journey has been emotional and expensive but at the end of the day, this is what we promised ourselves to do for love.
I wish everyone here success in their process and remember......love is truly the answer.

My interview went well!
Everything was just as described by previous VJ members. My wife and I was asked how wet, day or wedding etc. I didnt have any printed pictures of our wedding so I brought out my iphone which had tons of our pictures of wedding and previous visits.
I was approved on the spot and I was told to complete immunization update only on the form I-693, Report on Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. The officer said once I mail the immunization update in, he will send my green card. The officer gave me until Jan 8th to hand in the immunization update.
I told the officer I had completed an immunization and x-ray prior to arriving in the states but he told me I needed to complete one more form I-693 update only. Once that form gets to the office, he will sent my Greencard.
What can I say, Im glad this process is done and I can continue with my life.
I only have God and everyone here to thank for their support.

Quick update.
I received my EAD/AP combo card in the mail today. I must say, I did contact my local congress woman to expedite my case due to job offer that i start on monday. I sent my offer letter and start date to my congress woman and I also provided the importance of my job to my family and how my job position benefits the environment. (my job is in the renewable energy industry) maybe, just maybe my job tittle also helped USCIS expedite my EAD process.
I am so grateful this part is over and I can start work. I've been working since I was 16years old, so the past months sitting down playing video games while my new wife worked has been a bit odd for me to process. Im glad this part is over and I wish everyone's EAD/AP goes smoothly as well.

I was worried about the same exact thing!! I even searched in the forum but found nothing related.... My EAD, AP and my husband's petition are on the second dot/circle, and my 485 still on the first one..... I was wondering if I had a RFE or something was wrong, so I keep checking very often to see of something's changes.
Is everybody else's like that????
You are not alone. I'm in the exact same stage as yours. I filed my AOS the same day as you and my uscis status is the same as yours. I'm just as impatient because I already have a job offer that Im supposed to start this coming Monday. The company has sent me the I-9 form to complete before my start date but I cant complete it because I do not have a new alien registration number. Its so frustrating! Im going to have to deny the offer or ask the company to please keep my position until this whole process is completed.

We have the exact same dates for everything so far! Just received mine in the mail as well. Hopefully it keeps moving this quickly!

Hello VJ guys,
I am filing my AOS tomorrow through FEDX.
USCIS
Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn 3rd floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517.
I have 2 questions.
1. How much is the cheque amount for AOS all together. Is the amount still $1070 US?
2. My wife was a student and only worked for 3 months in 2013 and made 2,000 in her tax return. However started a new job in Nov 2013 and she is now making $35K. She has an official letter from work stating how much she makes today. Is there anything else I can use to support her income besides getting a co-sponsor? What she makes now is well above the poverty line.
Thank you guys for the help. I couldn't have done this without this forum. Its been a life saver.

My K1 visa has been approved and gone to NVC and my fiance (in Canada) has already completed the Package 3 sent to him from Montreal. I just called USCIS to change my address here (United States) because I moved from one house to another in the same state. The lady on the phone changed the address for me and told me to update my address with NVC on Monday.
Now that I go to USCIS website to check my status, It shows initial review. My status was showing Post Decision Activity before I changed my address, but now its showing Initial Review. Should I be concerned?
Is this normal? thanks for any assistance, this site is beautiful. Kudos!

Hello all, quick question here and sorry if this is already in a guide. I do my research on the forum and guides before I post any question. So thanks to whoever has an answer for me.
So I called NVC and was told that my case was sent to Montreal Office on March 6th. What should I do next?
Can I start calling Montreal to schedule an interview or will the Consulate in Montreal contact me to ask me to send more information and medical to them?
Thanks for your help

I had my brother drop me at Buffalo airport and I was sitting on the passenger side of the car. We got to peace bridge in Niagara Boarder and crossed with no problem.
Officer: Where are you heading?
Me: Off to vegas
Officer: How long?
Me: 2 months
Officer: Why so long of a visit?
Me: I got extended vacation from work
Officer: Open the trunk for me please
Brother: Pressed the trunk button (officer went and checked the trunk and closed the trunk)
Officer: Well have a nice vacation. and then gave us back our passports.
That was it

Thats good news. I too plan on visiting my fiance next week. I'm going through Niagara falls boarder. I have all documents to prove ties to Canada just incase I'm asked.

Hello all, just had a quick question.
My fiance applied for K1 visa in the middle of January and she received the NOA1 on February 5. I work as a project manager in Canada, I just started a new assignment which allows me to work remotely for 2-3 months. I plan on going to the states and spending those 2 months with my fiance. I will have my rental lease, bank statement, my work letter, car lease etc. with me when I travel by air in March.
My question is, should I wait until we get the NOA2 before visiting her in the states, or whatever time I visit doesn't matter as long as I have no intention to marry until the K1 is approved. If I visit in march, I can stay for 2-3months while waiting for NOA2, then return to Canada after 2-3 months once we have the NOA2.
NB: Who receives the NOA2 in the email/mail? Canadian or US petitioner?
Thank you.

Thank you all for the assistance.

Thanks fellow canadian...EH!

Hello once again, I do apologize if this question has been answered, I just could not get a clear explanation on this topic. We are about to submit our K1 application this friday. jan 24th. My last question is about the G-325a.
Im a bit confusied about the G-325A because it says G-325A, Biographic Information: To provide biographic information on an alien. "You file this form only as instructed on another Immigration application or petition."
what does it mean as instructed on another immigration application or petition? Should we both fill this form (Sponsor and Benefitiary) and include it along with the filing of the K1 visa or should we wait until shes (American Citizen) asked to?
Thats all I need answer for. Once again, apology if this has been answered, i searched all over and couldnt find the detail answer.
Thank you all once again.

thank you,

Hello and happy new year to everyone here. This site is heaven sent. Just want to ask a quick question.
I am starting my K1 process next week on the 10th of January. I just want to know,
1. Do I need to declare the date my fiance and I got engaged?
2. Do we need to show the engagement receipt as well?
Thank you

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to introduce myself to everyone. I'm Canadian (male) 33 living in Toronto presently, my fiance (female) is a US citizen living in Las Vegas. Shes about to begin the K1 application.
I will use this site to get information about the process and hopefully network with some cool fellow Canadians.
removing condition i 751 (days before expiration)
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

Hello and happy new year to everyone. I did not file the i751 90days prior to my husband's green card from expiring. I'm actually filing out the form just two days before it expires and I also plan to waive the filling fee due to financial difficulties from job loss.
My husband (permanent resident) has a good job and our marriage is working in good faith, my question: are there serious consequences of filling the i751 late?
