Are you are F2A category? Are you LPR or Citizen (petitioner filing I mean).

Some reps don't give IIN right with case# just call back get someone else.

Just checked with NVC and they have wrongly assigned F2A category but the petitioner has a US passport which clearly signify a proof of US Citizenship and also USCIS has clearly mentioned Approval for Notice, Section - Husband & wife of US Citizen 201 (b) INA.

Now NVC wants us to send a scan copy of NOA2 and US passport of petitioner...Any idea what could be the turn around time to rectify this error.

I was assigned a case number on September 12 by NVC and when we checked for IIN the rep told us they are working on priority date, 2007. After a while in these few days we have realised the priority date is not applicable to us because we fall under IR-1 visa category. The rep told us the visa is not yet assigned to the case number. I wonder what's wrong with NVC, it's been so many days and we have not been assigned a IIN & they do not respond to the emails to. Wonder if there are anyone facing some issues?

As on 9th July, 2014 my case was transferred to California Service Center from Nebraska Service Center. Anybody sailing in the same boat? I wonder why did they do this when we are so near to 5 months and would get approved anytime some.

I know someone with early December PD got approved last week from NSC...just hope they quicken up the process soon

Did any March, 2014 filers from NSC got approved? My PD is 3 March, 2014 and case status on USCIS website said my Alien Registration number was changed on 13, March but since then I have not received any update and it still says initial Review.

Did any of you guys receive approvals yet?

No, I am not past 5 months. Hopefully this July or August I will complete 5 months. I more concerned about why did they allot ARN and did not acknowledge until now. Why do they allot ARN at such early stage?

I never called them.

Also to rectify, I got accepted but still waiting for approval.

This is the message i received on March 13, 2014. We did not receive acknowledgement letter or email about this change. Could any one please explain what does it mean & when will they issue NOA2.

I have a Indian passport. My name consists of First Name Middle Name & Last Name. As per my education, birth & marriage certificate my name is mentioned as First Name Middle Name & Last Name but in my passport, Given name is my Middle Name & Last name, Surname is my First Name. Technically speaking surname is the last name but my passport has this error. My wife is applying for I-130 & she senses an issue with this. I checked with many people who have similar name like mine & all are from India & had travelled to western & other countries with out any problem. My wife is of an opinion that i should change the name on my passport & send her documents...but here in India things are slow & lazy...I need a expert advice on 1. Can she process with such issue 2. Would there be any problems 3. How much time would the RPO takes for this change & any other suggestions are welcome.

I will be married to my fiancee in next 1 month.She would be flying down to India for our marriage. My fiancee is hearing impaired & she communicates in American Sign Language. I am learning ASL as a beginner. I would like to ascertain if there would be hurdles for visa application & immigration, also what is the best/quickest way to re-unite with her after marriage. I have been hearing stories of people under delaying circumstances for over a year & two which is nightmare for a couple who is married as physical separation for a long period is depressing.

It shall be great if you guys could suggest what to be done after marriage for visa application & what would be the turn around time in my case.
