  1. We brought with us our marriage certificate, our wedding album. I brought my EAD with me. Proof that you have accounts together. Or proof that you live in the same house. They didn't look at our pictures. They just asked for our marriage certificate. It was a very quick interview. My wife just mentioned that we have a wedding album if they want to see. That's the only time they looked our pictures.

  2. We used money order... I dunno how it works do they notify you when they going to cash it?

They will. As you can see on my timeline, I submitted my AOS/EAD last October 5 and received a receipt from them on October 20. Sadly, until they cash the check you can't check your status coz it won't be in their system. That's what happened to me when I tried calling them for a follow up coz we haven't received a notice after filing it. Luckily, I received an email 15 days after then received another mail for Biometrics.

  3. Actually, I had a mistake getting an appointment to cfo. I set it this Friday October 24 but I'm afraid to go because I still don't have my passport. Is that ok?

Yes, you can still go to CFO. You can finish the seminar but you still have to comeback. Once you get your passport, you have to go back and have them put the sticker and certificate on it. You don't need to schedule, just tell them you're done with your seminar and you're just getting your passport stamped. :)

  4. Yes. That's what we did.

It says on the I-693 (Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status), "you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

Since my medical is still up to date, i can use my vaccination worksheet to include in my AOS. We submitted our AOS last October 6. We're still waiting for a response. Hopefully, no RFEs.

Just make sure you have completed your vaccination.

  5. Printscreen would be fine. Whichever is convenient for you. My wife copy pasted it since she's not familiar with technology stuff then made little notes about our conversation logs. She had post its on the convos for added information. But what I did with mine was just purely screen shots of my phone. (Viber, Whatsaap, Skype, iMessage, Call logs etc.) They never asked for it during my interview tho, but thats what I did. Its more informative with the times stamps and date.

  6. Had my interview last May on a K1 Visa. They'll get the Cenomar, NSO BC, Affidavit of Support, the pictures. Just prepare the list. You can check it here as well.

    For the interview:

    Name of petitioner

    Birthday of petitioner

    Work of petitioner

    Date we met

    Date we got together

What i felt first time i met her

    Our story

My last consul showed pictures (the ones my fiancé now wife submitted) of us together and asked questions about it.

It really depends. Some gets asks a lot of questions. Some just a few.

Just relax and always answer from your heart. :)

  7. Same sex couple here as well. Both female. :)

We just go married and just filed my AOS for my permanent residency. My wife is the US citizen. We married here in California.

Quick advice, don't forget to include which state you guys are going to get married and if that state allows same sex marriage. We have compiled clippings of news and the law that states it is legal to marry in California. I have noticed some same sex couples weren't able to do that but got approved anyway. But you know what they say, better to be over prepared than under prepared. :)

My partner and i are willing to help incase you have questions.

    Good luck!!! :dancing:

  8. I understand your frustration. But we can't really do anything about it. So far, upon reading other's statements on a case similar like this (waiting for their visa), we all have different situations. My fiancé and I are just talking right now that maybe they still need more reviews on your paper work. For others maybe everything that they need is already there that's why it was easy to issue their visa right away. Coz there are some, even if they're approved, they were still asked to submit more paper works.

Let's just hope and pray that's not your case. I know it's hard to wait. I was bordering to getting hysterical too. But we can't really do anything about it. Just think positive and I'm pretty sure yours will be delivered in no time. Have faith. :)

  9. Hi Dave! My name is Kris and my fiance's name is Nika. We're a same sex couple (both female) who filed last January. We got approved last May 19 in our interview at the consul. :) One thing we noticed that is very important, and I was asked too during the interview, is that you have to provide information about which state are you guys getting married and if it is legal. If it is legal, you need to provide proof as to when it was legalized. Like for us, we printed the news and searched for the law where gay marriage is now legalized in the state of california.

    Best of luck!

  10. Hello guys!

I am writing this experience to further help others who are about to take theirs in the next few days or months. Visa journey has really helped me and my fiance in finding out the proper documents to collate, next steps to take and queries that bothers us at times. Here's our experience or my experience (being petitioned) in St. Lukes Medical:

    Medical Requirements:

Photocopy of Passport biodata (I had 3 copies with me to be sure)

    2x2 Photos 4pcs

Visa interview appointment letter from the embassy or NVC

2 copies of appointment letter/instruction letter (I had 3 copies with me to be sure)

    Day 1 Medical:

    6:30am - Went in

    7:00am - Biometrics

7:30am - Payment of medical at 3rd floor

7:45am - Blood/pregnancy test (Make sure you remember your first menstrual period and your last day of menstrual perioud. It will be asked many times.)

    8:15am - X-ray

    8:50am - Immunization

    9:15am - Vital statistics

    9:30am - Physical Exam

    10:00am - DONE! :dancing:

    Day 2 of Medical: Results

I was called to come in at 7:30am but went as early as 6:00am to get parking space. Piece of advice that I wasnt able to do that I would like to tell everyone-- EAT A HEAVY BREAKFAST FOR DAY 2. My golly I waited for 8 hours to get my results! :crying:

    6:00am - Went in

6:15am - Guard stamped my receipt "Medical On Process" which means they had me go to Counter A (ground level) to surrender my receipt and wait to be called. Meaning, my results werent ready yet.

10:00am - I got called at immunization room which means I passed! YAY!!! :dancing: I got 2 vaccine shots.

10:30am - Back to Counter A. Another wait.

11:00am - I got called to sign 2 papers. Then wait again.

1:30am - Finally I got called! (I was sooo hungry by this time! The were asking us to have lunch but I didnt want to risk not hearing my name be called.) Got my passport, vaccination records that you'll be bringing with you and a CD which you cant open. You also need to bring that too.

Day 2 was harsh but everything was worth it.

Good luck to those who are taking theirs! :goofy:

  11. I just got a text right now from 2GO telling me that they're about to deliver my passport/visa at home today. I live in Laspinas. All in all, it took me 9 days to wait for my visa upon the interview. There are a lot of different cases. And so far, upon reading other statements here on the delivery of their visa, there was no problem.

I dont think there's anymore problem with you since you already passed your other requirements. I know it's hard to wait but we all really need to be patient. Don't worry! It will be fine. The longest delivery of visa that i have read here is 3 months. It really depends. Just be patient. :)
