if u really think pursuing the job dream will help BOTH of u and not u alone ,then go ahead otherwise consider other options because this immigration processes cannot be predicted and remember none of us in this forum works at the uscis to be able to predict what will happen when u decide to refile!

Thanks so much guys for those advices. I will be getting that skin test. First have to call the airlines for a change in flight schedule. Oh, do anyone also have any slight idea if I get my skin test on a private physician and not the SLEC? Just wondering if this will be possible. Anyways, Happy and blessed Christmas and merry new year everyone.
Thanks and more power VJ
remember the medical center has been mandated by the embassy to carry out all such medical examination and tests and they communicate. don't underestimate the intelligence of the United States; so please i beg u in the name of God go ahead with the test. it is better to pay for the cost now than for it to affect the rest of your processes! hope this helps .. but the decision is entirely yours to take just remember you are responsible for the consequences of all decisions you take! good luck

if u want the shortest way to gain citizenship, then if your age qualifies you and u are medically fit, then the military is the shortest route. i know people who have become citizens in less than 1 year since they legally entered through the military.

I was trying to get peoples opinions on something......preferably if they have experience or first hand knowledge of this question;
- Is it better one way or the other to be told to come back for a second interview and given a date right away when Admin Processing box is checked on 221-g, or is it a better sign when they tell you "we will call you"?
- When they give the date to return, I am wondering why it is so close to the expiration date of the NOA2? Is that most likely so that there is no way you can appeal or ask for it to be extended with such short notice?
- I know it's always a better sign if they keep your passport, but not necessarily a bad thing if they give it back.

Your DOS Case ID is identified as the IV Case Number on your visa stamp. However, please note the IV Case Number has two additional numbers at the end, such as 01 or 02. When entering the IV Case Number as the DOS Case ID into USCIS ELIS, do not include the last two numbers. For example, if your IV Case Number is “ABC1234567801,” you would enter your DOS Case ID as “ABC12345678” (do not include the “01”)
hope this helps!

i don't know about jamaica. but when i did my medicals in Ghana and i was going for the results, it was not ready because the doctor to sign the X-ray report was not available but i had enough time before my interview so i was able to go back the following week for it. take it easy but my question is: is it the norm in jamaica that the medical facility posts the medical results to the embassy? if not then why your case?

really? I opened mine today after 2 weeks! does that mean it will restart?
it will surely do i did that and it reset and it took 65days before i received my IV invoice. don't open it again.

submit the affidavit of support documents & financial evidence for review if the status is showing paid. the IV fee has not been invoiced yet, so take it easy and keep checking when it is invoiced, u will be able to click on it and pay. u have to pay the IV fee for the status to show paid before u can get access to the DS-260 to fill and submit. hope u have already filled and submitted your DS-261?

did she file tax for last year? if she is unemployed, check part 6 number 4. but note she has to fill i864 and seek for joint sponsors.
if your husband's income is enough to support him then he is the only one to fill the i864 besides your daughter and check i am the only sponsor. don't fill any form for yourself, neither should your husband mention your name on the form but you have to be counted as a dependent.
enter the total income shown on the tax transcript or tax forms at part 6 number 5 and the same amount at 9c.
then enter the adjusted income at part 6 13a1. in order of the year the tax was filed.
then he will have to prove his share of the total income by attaching W2, paystubs and/or employment verification letter
-
Pls the form is I-864 and not I-865 so please watch out what u are filling
Are both of u going to use your income to support her? Are both of u staying in same household?
if both of u are staying in the same household then the main petitioner fills I-864, THEN your husband fills I-864 as joint sponsor and u fill i864A if both of u filed joint returns and u are combining income.
if both of u filed your taxes separately then your husband fills i864 as first joint sponsor and u also fill i864 as second joint sponsor

All i can say today is glory be to God. my wife went for her first interview on Nov 17, and after 4 hours of questioning, this CO handed to her white slip 221g(AP) and told her to come back on Dec 15. one week after the interview, this officer called my wife on phone and told her everything about her papers is ok but she will need affidavit of support since my income was not enough to support her. This was after i have submitted AOS to NVC and was approved or recommended for approval. upon informing me i emailed the embassy for clarification and i got the AOS and mailed to my wife.
my wife went to the embassy around 1100AM todaySINCE HER appointment WAS 1:00PM. after checking in and waiting for 3hours, this same consular officer called her to the window and just ask for her passport. and didn't ask her any question. ,congratulated her and gave her visa collection slip without even asking her about affidavit of support he called her one week after her first interview that she will need. she left the embassy and one hour later whiles she was informing me about what happened at the embassy, this officer called her on the phone that she should come back to the embassy.she got there and the officer apologized to her that he is sorry he had to call her back but he needs the affidavit of support. my wife gave it to him and after going through for some time he said thats ok you may go now. so my question is if this officer knew what he was doing, why didnt he ask her for the affidavit of support (requested documents) when he called her to the window? All i can say is glory be to God because why she was not approved on her first visit and was given AP still marvels me but what can one say once approved thats all. Thanks to VJ members for your support. for those who are still waiting just keep on praying and everything will be fine in God's appointed time. -
my case is not at NVC. spouse has already been interviewed and was issued 221g AP.she was called 3 days after her interview that she needs a joint sponsor. she is scheduled to reappear on DEC15
so i am having the tax transcript of the joint sponsor from the IRS website which shows joint income. my question is how do i identify his adjusted gross income from the total adjusted gross income? for part 6, 13 A.? because the W-2 just shows net annual income? help!
-
I had my interview today. The outcome was not the one expected. I was placed on AP with no reason given other than they will let me know after more reviewing.
Question: If after reviewing my case and the final results come back positive, how long do I have to send my passport to the consulate?
This is my situation: I have a work trip I can't change in 2 weeks for about 10 days. Once it is over, it would be Christmas which I want to spend with my husband in Seattle. I would plan to come back home 1st week in January. If my case is finally completed while I am away, do I have a grace period to send it back to consulate?
Thanks a lot of any information on this.
what sheet was given to you and what boxes were checked?

Contacted the embassy and I am to mail it to my wife.thanks to u all

Both I-864's should be submitted together to avoid confusion.
THE PROBLEM IS SHOULD I POST IT TO THE EMBASSEY DIRECT OR POST IT TO MY WIFE SO SHE WILL GO ALONG WITH IT DURING HER NEXT APPOINTMENT?
-
SO MY QUESTION IS DO I POST THE CO-SPONSOR I-864 DOCUMENTS TO THE EMBASSY IN GHANA DIRECT OR POST IT TO MY WIFE WHO WILL INTEND SUBMIT IT TO THE EMBASSY DURING THE NEXT APPOINTMENT?
SEEMS MY WIFE IS CONFUSING ME WITH THE INFORMATION THE CONSULAR OFFICER WHO CONTACTED HER TOLD HER. SHE CLAIMS THE OFFICER TOLD HER IT SHOULD BE POSTED DIRECT TO THE EMBASSEY. BUT NO ADDRESS WAS GIVEN TO HER AND I DONT WANT TO RISK LOOSING THE DOCUMENTS.
HELP PLEASE!
HAS ANYBODY BEEN IN THIS SITUATION BEFORE?

So his household is 3 plus my spouse will be 4 and his share out of the 57,076 is over 32000 so I guess he qualifies!
Since the poverty guidelines for a household of 4= $29,892
-
-
SO the co sponsor filed 2013 tax as married filing jointly with the spouse. my question is since the total income reflecting on the tax transcript includes that of the spouse, which is 57,076:
on part 6 (que 5). should i subtract his income from the total and put it there or what?
and also does it mean i have to include the spouse as "income from person who was counted in your household? person 1 6a?
please help!

Just a quick question. The cosponsor receives allowances that are not taxable.can it be included as part of his income?
Because the taxable income alone doesn't meet the poverty guidelines.help please

it could be up to 60 days! the IV becomes available for payment only after the ds-261 has been reviewed. so just take it easy when it is reviewed it will surely be available for you to pay. use this time to gather your civil documents and make them ready for submission immediately the IV is available for you to pay!
