Hello All,
My sister, her three kids and my brother in law got their permeant residency through my Mother last year; they all have the 10 year physical card in possession, the two older kids are here already finishing their MS degrees and my brother in law had travelled last December so he is also fine.
However my sister and her 14 year old were stopped in Karachi from boarding the plane to USA yesterday, as it has now been 14 months since they last visited. We have heard of people being denied entry when they reach USA but never of a Pakistani immigration officer making that determination. Her intent was to visit for two weeks in March during spring break but due to Covid crises her trip was delayed. We had called the State Dept and confirmed that it would not cause an issue with her green card, however it seems that is not the case.
Unfortunately the Consulate in Karachi has been closed for few months which means more time outside USA
Can we file something here so that her case is documented with the Immigration or this would have to be handled at the Consulate in Pakistan?, any other recommendations on how to best move forward would be appreciated?

You are not alone guys, our was received by TSC on Dec 12th last year and she was also approved on Dec 11th. On Friday the CEAE status changed to ISSUED so we are expecting the passport any day.
-
She was told congratulations you are approved and you will get your passport in 7-10 days (no forms were given), the status on the CEAC website changed to AP on DAY 7 and ISSUED on DAY 8th which unfortunately was on Friday so two days of weekend in between...grr, we are so hoping that she can make it in the next few days, is it true that once changed to ISSUED the courier takes couple of days?
After 12 months both of us can hardly wait

Hello,
We had submitted our packet 3.5 documents with me as the I-134 Sponsor with 2013 tax returns as indicated in the letter (I am an Electrical Engineer so my salary met the guidelines). I lost my job shortly after, I was hoping to have landed something by now but things are slow due to holiday season. I/we will be staying with family so there will be no rent, I have no car payment, only some basic expenses that I can easily cover with the unemployment insurance like (car insurance, cell bill and few other minor expenses).
The interview has been scheduled, so I am assuming I need to scan submit form I-864 via online and mail an original to her for the interview?
Thank You

Hello,
I am sorry if this sounds like a silly question but does my Fiancee has to submit the original docs or me as well?
If the originals are only needed for My Fiancee, can I scan mine in color including the I-134 and email her? which she can submit for 3.5 NOW (to save time), I can then courier the original from here which she can take to the interview?
Below is the list I am copying and pasting from the letter
2. Civil DocumentsThe following civil documents are required. Please note that you will need to submit an Englishtranslation for all documents. You must also submit one photocopy of each original document. Original cirth certificates with English translation and one photocopy. Marriage certificate for any current or prior marriages, along with Urdu nika namas, ifapplicable. Include English translations and one set of photocopies. Divorce/death certificates for any prior spouses, if applicable. Include English translationsand one set of photocopies. Police certificate(s) from any country (not required for time spent in the U.S., Pakistan,Afghanistan or India) where you are currently living or have lived for more than one yearafter the age of 16. Include English translations and one set of photocopies. 2 visa photos against a white background, measuring 2x2 inches. Please note that photosmust be natural and not edited. We highly recommend that all applicants review our photoguidelines to make sure the photos are correct before submitting them to the Immigrant VisaUnit. Please right click here and select “open hyperlink” for more information on photos. Copies of the first 2 pages of each applicant’s passport. It is particularly important that wehave a photocopy of any pages listing your personal information (name, date of birth, placeof birth) and showing your photo. Please do not mail your passport to the Immigrant VisaUnit, instead, bring it with you to the interview. -
A second problem with this portal is that there is no option for scheduling a K1 visa?

Hello,
So we received a letter that NVC was forwarding our case to Islamabad with the file number and to fillout DS-160 in August.
We have submitted DS-160 online (sep 16th), and created an online account on the portal listed below:
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/index.html?firstTime=No
I am a bit confused about the next step?
Do we wait for embassy to contact us first with packet 3.5 OR should we go ahead make the fee payment at the Allied Bank and schedule an interview appointment at the embassy, via the portal?
I have a letter from work and my bank but I am holding off sending it from here since I am not sure how long it will take t o schedule the interview and can get ones dated much closer to the interview?
Thanks,
-
Got another update text, it is on its way to NVC:)
On July 23, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

I was told by the Tier-2 Rep that our file was sent for in depth security check in April. The delay may have to do with my job as well, although so far I have not been involved in anything needing a security clearance.
When I passed the posted time frame I saved all records of attempted contact emails, printed all e-request attempts, noted all agent IDs, time & dates when called the 1-800# (about every 10th day), filed for a obdumus case, the last thing I was going to do was to write to the Senator's office.
At least per my understanding, after about a year when all else has failed, and with the above evidence I could try a writ de mandamus case, what else one can do but to keep on trying....
-
Thank you, I slept really well last night. I had spoken to a very nice Tier-2 rep on the 30th and was told that our file was still pending security check, an had also filed with the obdumus(sp) since that can mean anything with possible long waits times.
It has been so long that I need to refresh myself on the next steps:), good luck to everyone else

I finally received our NOA2 approval from TSC after 221 days, NOA1 was dated was Dec 12th, 2013. I was starting to feel quiet down last week but then I woke up and there was the email and the text, so to everyone waiting for their approval it is coming soon.

Who is up for a road trip and peace full demonstration outside the TSC by all K1/CR filers:=)
-
Sadly still no news, is anyone else getting their K1s approved from TSC, every time I call they seems to be working on December 3rd applications, is that what other are hearing?
-
I certainly was...jjpgyitr4evr, I am so sorry to hear about the hang-up as I was happy to see your case's movement.
I called last Friday and also tried to fill out the online case update request but was told and got the same message that our case is still within the processing time. Since not much can be done but wait, I am just trying to keep busy and hope for the best.
-
I have been following a few time lines and there are a few applications that have been approved past the date posted by the OP. When I started my thread a couple from Dominique Republic replied with the same mailing date 12-09-13 with NOA1 date of 12-161-13 and they were approved on 04-24-2014 another couple from Pakistan that applied in November also updated their NOA2 approval date to 03-28-14, their NOA1 date was 11-09-14
So we have hope:=)

My apologies, small mobile phone screen plus some anxiety about long adjudication time makes for a distracted newbie.
-
Btw:.I.just want to mention that my NOA1 does say Texas service center on it in the bottom left, dated Dec 16th n patiently waiting
-
update 12-21-13, got a text today, it is showing to be in initial review
On December 20, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait
-
Good news, I got an email/text today that our case has been approved, and I should get I-797 in mail pretty soon. It will be processed at Texas Service Center.

She already has the long form of her birth certificate, and she is now working on getting a new ID and Passport and should have them within a month. I have a scanned color copy of the entire package and I will make sure that I provide additional evidence of the ongoing relationship, a new intent to marry letter and I-134 once I have my 2013 W2.
When do we submit DS-160, after the case has been forwarded to the NVC/consulate or once packet 3 has been sent to her?
The medical/immunization would also have to wait until the consulate have assigned the doctor, is that correct?
-
^^Thanks bud, it would be good to see how our cases progress, I will be following up on your case as well..Good Luck
To be prepared for the next step, I have asked her to get the Police report ahead of time, besides that I foresee the following steps before she goes in for the interview, please correct me if I have missed anything?
I-134 Affidavit of support
DS-156 & DS-156k have been replaced with DS-160, is that correct?
Also with Packet 3 she would still submit DS-230?
She cannot find any vaccination records, so we will have her take the shots from the same medical place which has been assigned by US consulate?
Thank you
-
Thanks, done.
I like to add that my name change petition, and signed intent to marry letters were also submitted.

Hello All,
A new anxious I-129F filer joins the crowd.
I mailed in the completed I-129F for my fiancee in Pakistan. I think I have done a good job, about 77 pages, all items numbered on cover sheet with few numbered tabs at the bottom for ease of navigation.
Postal money order
Cover letter
G-1145
Form FC-029
I-129F
Both G325A with two photos each in separate ziplock bags
naturalization certificate (F & back)...back is just a plane page?
passport, all pages ......petitioner
Birth certificates......... PET.
National Identity card for overseas Pakistanis.......PET.
divorce certificates
birth certificate.....BEN
Passport, international travel records, and NIC card copies...BEN (not all pages of the passport, just the front and the travel records)
A word document explaining the relationship, with colored dated pics from meetings, engagement shopping/events, dress/kfc receipt, boarding passes, meal receipts at the airports, Viber chat log (15 pages)
I think that was it, I will check it against the cover letter and make any corrections.
Now waiting for NOA-1

I think within two years, my brother in law is taking an early golden hand-shake/early retirement that is two years away and they also have properties there that would need to be sold. Their original plan was to file for a re-entry permit once (this time around)
