I didn't need to go to an interview. They will send the new card within 60 dsys. My service center is Vermont. I have been waiting for more than a year by now.
I think most of the people do not need to go to an interview.

I went to get a stamp at USCIS office as I am traveling internationally and coming back about 2 weeks before GC expiration. But the officer refused to give me the stamp as he does not see a good reason and told me to come back after I return to the US, if the new GC is still not here.
He also told me that I can walk in to get the stamp without an appointment. I am not sure if that's the case with your local USCIS office. The one I went to looked slow and all time slots were open when I made my appointment.
I actually received an approval letter today. The letter says to get the stamp if I need to travel before the new GC is received. I am hoping that I can get the stamp this time as traveling while waiting for a new card seems to be a different situation than traveling while case pending.

I just received an approval letter today, dated March 17!!!
Letter says I should NOT travel internationally till I receive the new card...
We are going to Japan within a month to introduce our baby to my family.
Even though the officer at my local USCIS told me to come back AFTER the trip to get stamp if I do not have the card yet then, I may need to go get it before the trip as the letter says so.
I am hoping I will receive the new card by then. But I doubt it.
My approval letter is not having my full name on it. Is it an issue?
It's only showing my first initial and last name (I do not have middle).

I received an letter for 2nd biometrics...
When I went to the local office on April 1st, most of my fingerprints were rejected. Lady at the office told me my fingers were too "cracked" and I would most likely get a rejection letter.
I use cocoa butter everyday (not for hands). I hope it helps moisturize my fingerprints too by the next appointment on April 27th and hope that it will not delay the process (probably will).

I am glad the letter did not slip out. It would have been a nightmare if it did...

How much notice do you get for the biometrics? I thought I might have received mine by now. NOA1 date is 02/19/2016. I have booked to go back to Ireland to visit my family on April 11th! Getting worried now. ?

I am Japanese (beneficiary) and had the interview in March.
My updated after marriage Koseki has records of name change.
I don't exactly know what 原戸籍謄本 is, but 戸籍抄本(Koseki Shohon) worked for me.
Every city has slightly different format for Koseki though, I believe.

Quick question for those who have filled out DS-260 recently or have it available right now..
For previous addresses do the instructions mention to only list "places you have lived at least six months since 16"? The older DS-230 form does state this, but the screenshot and google doc version of DS-260 I've seen doesn't clearly state this.
I am trying to figure out if it's necessary to state the address of the place where my wife and I stayed for about 7 weeks after our wedding.

I filled out my DS260 about a month ago.
You will need to put that address because the online form does not allow you to have time gaps.
And remember, when you click add more address button, it only adds at the last. You cannot add in between addresses nor switch around addresses you already typed.
Also, it does not save until the page is filled completely.
I wanted to save in middle of fryping 15 addresses, but it didn't let me do it...

I had an interview today and my visa is approved.
Thank you for all of your help and advice.
I don't know how I could go through this by myself.I had a joint sponsor (father in law) to fulfill the AOS requirement.
His income was enough for the poverty line so his wife (mother in law) did not believe I needed her I-864A even though they filed tax joint because the instruction said no need to fill I864A if the joint sponsor has enough income.
I convinced her to send me her I864A so that I can show it at the embassy if they ask me, just in case.
And they did told me that I needed her I864A since they filed tax joint.
If I did not find VJ, I never knew they require I864A for my case.
It was not easy, but it would have been harder without VJ and VJ members!

I just had an interview and my visa is approved!!
Some documents were not needed and returned.
But I think it's better be over prepared than not having documents needed.
Now I'm waiting for my passport.

I have an interview appointment on 17th.
Since I skipped NVC process, all the AOS & NVC documents will be screened at the embassy for the first time.
I hope this massive package will be enough.

I'm so frustrated with our accountant.
It took 3 weeks to complete and finally we got 1040 and 2555 yesterday.
He didn't even bother to look at my work information and put my husband's employer/occupation on mine.
Since he is my husband's family friend, we kinda had to ask him.
we possibly have some issues with 2012 tax return too...

My medical document is shipped out to me todayI already went to have medical but they cannot make the document until finding out I'm pregnant or not...
(I don't think I am, but understand what they have to do to make my document)
Accountant is preparing 2013 tax return which should be ready soon.
Since we are both living and working outside the US, there is no W2 to bring.
It should be fine, right?
I think all will be ready quite soon.

Question - do you qualify for the I-864EZ?
If not - then no, put n/a or none. Do not leave anything blank.
i am defenintly getting a checklist , I left couple answers blank .
I-864 instruction says "If an item is not applicable or the answer is none, leave the space blank".
Am I looking at a wrong instruction??
Since I still have time until submitting this form, I just wanna make sure...

I contacted Congressman's office last week as I am traveling in almost 2 weeks.
Even though my status online is still "case received", staff from the office told me that it's actually "in production". But there is nothing anyone can do at this point to issue the card quicker, she said.
Hopefully I will receive the new card before the trip...
