Hello I just want to give you all an update. CEAC website finally shows my file in transit to the consulate WooHoo ! I called NVC to confirm and they said it was sent out on the 14th. So for those of you that are stuck in AP at the NVC it took my case 19 Days. I hope this will help anyone with patience.

Much quicker. Have a look here. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?cfl=
Average right now 27 days.
We never got anything from NVC. Don't hang your hat on them contacting you. Send them an email periodically. When you get the file number start tracking it at the Consulate.
Thanks slowlyman ! You are right, my file left uscis on December 16th 2013 and i never got anything from NVC letting me know that they had received it so I just kept on calling. I finally got the File number that NVC assigned to my case. You are suggesting that I track the file at the consulate. How would I go by to do that ? Should I call the consulate or do they have a tracking feature on their website or are you referring to the DOS case status website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==
Funny how your user ID really summarize this whole process !

After calling many times the NVC 603-334-0700 they confirmed that they received the file from USCIS and issued a new case number. I asked for the case number and when will they transfer the file to the us embassy abroad. They responded that the case is going through necessary AP (Administrative Processing) and that they will contact me via email when completed and with further instructions. How long should i expect to wait ? I read that NVC moves quicker than USCIS. What should i expect from the NVC when they do contact me via email ?

Thank you all for your responses.

That means that they have assigned an A# (alien number) for your beneficiary. That means they are working on your application.

Hello,
what are the requirement for the co-sponsor on a I-130? Can the co-sponsor be a non us resident or citizen ? Does he have to live in the us?
Thank you
When to file N400 for spouse of us citizen
in US Citizenship General Discussion

For the purpose of filing N400 naturalization for the spouse of a us citizen. The 3 years count from the time legal resident status is gained. For a K1 visa that should be from the date of marriage ? Correct me if I'm wrong but we were told, while she was waiting for her conditional green card that the proof of her legal residency is her marriage certificate.... So does it start from her legal entry as a k1? the date of marriage? The date of issue of her conditional green card? The date her conditions are lifted (i-751) or date of issue of permanent green card ?
