  1. Just checked mine: Financial Evidence has "Y" Status.

I guess it has something to do with EP

There was a case where the AOS was missing altogether from the packet at the embassy and an original AOS was requested.

So just to be safe i'm sending another copy of the AOS (original and ink signature) to my spouse along with the tax returns/w2 etc [basically the AOS packet ]

    Good Luck

    Thanks so much for sharing!

Looks like I'll be mailing the whole packet to my wife as well, the whole AOS packet.

  2. Hi Guys,

I finally got this notice from NVC stating that my case is complete and sent to Guangzhou Consulate and the interview date is March 17.

However, in the letter it also has a list of documents seemingly needed for the interview. The instruction on these documents is kind of confusing. I've attached the document requirement here.

What is this Financial Evidence here? The status S means that NVC received a scanned copy and I need to bring the real one to the interview. Does this mean I need to mail my tax return for the I-864 to my wife so she can bring the original document to the interview?

I can't think of anything else that's financial evidence. Any advice would be really appreciated!!

  3. For the question on schools, start from high school and go up.

For the vaccine question, it depends. If you have all the required vaccines, then choose yes. If you don't, select no. If you don't have them, just explain in the box that you'll be receiving them at the medical. Don't think too much into this question; saying no isn't reason for a denial or anything.

Hi Saylin, after reading your post I realized that I didn't put high school info on my ds-260 form, errrr.. where do I go from here? Bring a corrected form to the consulate at interview?

Thanks so much for your help!

  4. Last month, when I was opting in for Montreal EP. My wife sent an email to opt-in from her account and received a response from NVC almost right away, however, when I sent it, I did not receive a response until 10-14 days after. I don't know what the deal is or why it takes so long. Make sure you send opt-in e-mails from both, petitioner and beneficiarys emails.

Thanks! I just did that as well. Fingers crossed.

  5. It seems we requested EP on the same day.

I too haven't heard back and was told the exact same thing from NVC.

I sent a second OPTIN email just to be safe.

I even sent the AOS package last week but was told that when I get my OPTIN acceptance I'll need to re-send.

Seems incredibly slow compared to other people's experiences with EP ...

Exactly! From your signature I see that your IV fee has been paid as well. Did you get any mail/email as instructions for what's next?

I don't know if I should pay my IV fee as well.

  6. Hi folks! I'm so glad that I came across this forum. You guys are all great!

Just wondering if anyone has requested to opt in Electronic Processing lately? I've sent my optin email November 20th and so far haven't received any confirmation email from NVC for the new EP case number. It seems kinda slow compared to other members on this forum. I called NVC the representatives told me there's no time frame for EP request.

NVC has just taken the AOS fee from my bank account. I'm confused as whether to send the AOS package in plain mail or wait for EP to complete and send AOS in email?

Advice is more than welcome! Thanks in advance!
