  1. I hope that someone can help me? After I got married in 01-13-07 I file my I-485. Shortly after I received a notice saying that they need additional Information. Sent Immigration everything they asked for. I was denied because they said that could not verify my income. I spoke with 2 immigration officers one at my local office in Orlando and one in California where they AOS was sent. Both told me to resend the package back along with any additional documents. I had my accountant print out the last two years of my returns. By the way I am self employed and make good money. I sent the package back within the 30 days time period to reopen the case. Immigration sends it back to me over a month later saying that a fee was required in the amount of $385.00. Remind you Neither one of the immigration officers told me I had to send a fee. After sending the fee over night express mail return receipt with signature from immigration they send it back to me a month later saying that the fee is $585.00. I send it once again over night. I receive notice that the fee was received. Today I received a letter from immigration saying that since the motion to reopen was received in the 30 day time to reconsider this case still remains denied period. No other information was giving to me as to what to do next. I filed within the 30 days and have proof that they did receive it but because the fee was not enclosed they sent it back. Does that mean in there eyes it was not filed within the 30 day period? Can anybody help point me in the right direction. Do I need to hire an attorney? I feel immigration has been very dishonest with me they should of sent me my money back saying that we cannot process your case because the time period to reopen has expired instead they cashed my check first and then denied me. Please if anyone has any answers for me let me know. Thank you all very much for taking the time to answer me.

  2. Hi all. I am filling out form I-864 and i am not sure what to put in question 23 My current individual annual income is? Can anybody tell me exactly what they want to know here. I thank you all very much.

If you are employed, your W2 and ITR would have your annual income.

Maybe I should given more detail. I am self employed so do i out down my salary before or after expences?

  3. Well my fiancee flew to Manila yesterday morning and completed her seminar and had her visa stamped. I am leaving for the Philippines October 23 for two weeks and my fiancee and I will fly back together. It feels so wonderful to know we will be together so soon and make plans for our wedding. Just wanted to share the good news. This site has been a great help. Thank you all very much. God bless, Louie

  4. My fiancee passed her interview at the US Embassy in Manila, received her visa and was approved to come to the USA on a K1 Fiancee visa. I purchased plane tickets for myself and my fiancee and I will be leaving in October to the Philippines where I will stay for 2 weeks to help my fiancee pack her belongings and to spend time with her family before we fly back to gether to the US. Am I allowed to escort my fiancee back into the US ? Or does she have to fly here alone? I am asking because someone from this site said they did not think that was allowed and that my fiancee would have to fly to the US alone. Is that true? Does anyone know the answer to that. I never heard of such a thing.

  5. Congrats and Have a Safe Trip! :star::star::star::star::star:

Good luck and hope everything goes fine with the interview and flying home.

She already had the interview and received her visa to come to the USA. I will just go there and the two of us will fly back together. Very excited!

Her visa was approved and I will be going back to the Philippines to get my honey:-) spend some time there then we will come back together. So what is the deal with her working when she gets here? Where do we file for her green card and work permit? Thanks so much for the info. Louie

If anyone has already had there visa interview in manila you can check this site and check on the status of you're visa. http://www.delbros.com

To everyone who is waiting patiently just hang in there and make sure you have all of the documents they ask for even thought they may never ask for them.

  10. Hey i was just wondering my fiancee has her interview September 6 in Manila. I'm sure things will go well and she will receive her visa to come to the USA shortly afterwards. My question is, i am returning to the philippines to fly back with my fiancee to the states so i was wondering can i get her plane ticket here or do i have to get it in the philippines. If anyone can let me know if i can go either way i would appreciate it. Thanks so much.

  11. does anyone know a quicker and least expensive way to send letters/packages to the philippines...its taking a month or more for her to get anything from me...and it takes a week or less for hers to arrive to me...this makes no sense...thx...mike

I went to the post office and picked up "Express Mail Flat Rate Envelope's" To send them it cost's me anywhere from $18 - $21 dollard but my fiancee gets it in 5 too 7 days every time.

    she lives in pasay city...manila

Excuss my typing. My fiancee lives in Bacold City so all the mail goes into manila then its forward to Bacolod. She always gets it in 5 - 7 days usind the "Express Mail Flat Rate Envelope" I assume you will get it sooner since its going to manila.

  12. Can anyone please tell me is there any additional information i need to send my fiancee along with form I-134 Affidavite of Support? I am self employed so i am sending a copy of my wages both Corporation and personal. Anything else I should send? Thank you all.

  13. I am soooo happy. A little late in posting this but July 17,2006 I received a copy of a letter from the Embasy in Manila that my fiancee was scheduled for her medical appointment on August 30, 2006 and was also scheduled for her Visa appointment September 6, 2006. Encl: Packet 4. I began this process in January 2006 and have not had any issues what so ever. Looks like I'll be heading back to Bacolod City (Philippines) then end of September to fly back with my honey. A year to the date. Pray, believe God to work it all out and HE WILL. I have been blessed beyound measure. Thank you Jesus. I hope its going great for all of you too.

  14. Thanks to all the VJ members here who gave me advice, told me to calm down and not worry, etc because my fiance is on that airplane right now and will arrive at JFK just before noon on Wednesday. I simply am in shock that the process was so much quicker than expected. I am way ahead of people who filed around the same time as Anh and I and I somehow avoided that IMBRA chaos, so praise be to God for that.

I just hope the customs officials do not try and take her DVD's and CD's. I've explained to Anh that the law is on her side, that she is allowed personal copies and should be polite, but stick stand her ground of the agent gives her problems.

You got that right...God is good all the time.

  15. Well, I don't know what the F*#k!! happened but all the e-mails I was saving in seperate folders in outlook express are gone!! over 500 e-mails between me and my fiancee from the start of our relationship. I guess I won't be using that as evidence at the interview. I'll just have to start saving the ones from this day on. I guess I'm lucky for printing a couple of them out a while ago. I have other stuff to give her for the interview but it would have been nice to have those!! computers can be the devil sometimes!!!!

I can help you get your email back. Send me a shout. Louie
