  1. Hi guys,

I sponsored my parents' as US citizen. I submitted the request to NVC for case expedite due to medical necessity. I have not heard from them for 3 weeks. However, I checked last week on CEAC website and both of the AOS fee and DS 260 available after I submitted DS-261. I also noticed that my parents' petitions are in transit to the consular section. I called the consulate at HCMC but the operator is clueless when I asked to make an interview appointment. I have 3 questions:

    1. When can I pay for IV fee or my parents will pay it at the interview appointment?

    2. Do I submit AOS documents and IV documents to the consulate or they will submit at the interview?

    3. When can I make appointment for them?

Please give me tips and tricks on how to deal with HCMC consulate. Thank you so much.

  2. Hi guys,

Here is my situation. My parents' petition was expeditiously approved by USCIS for medical reason. I sent an email to NVC for expeditious processing request. They told me that my cases are under review. I saw the AOS fee available early this week and paid them. I saw that the DS-260 form available on CEAC website and completed them. Later in the evening, I saw on the website that both case switch from Current Processing Site: NVC to Current Processing site: Ho Chi Minh City. I talked to NVC operator and they told me they shipped my parents' applications to Ho chi Minh City Consulate. I should wait and contact the consulate in HCMC.

    1. What should I do next? I haven't submit my AOS package or civil documents yet.

    2. Where should I submit AOS package and civil documents? NVC or US consulate in HCMC

    3. When can I pay the IV fees?

If any of you is in the same situation or been through the same situation, please give me advise. I really really appreciate it.

  3. Hi guys,

I paid for my parents' petitions together. When I paid for my mom's AOS file tonight. It said "in progress". I clicked on the related cases on the top and it said this AOS fee satisfied the related case below then showed my dad case number. Does that mean I only had to pay 88$ for 2 petitions? Thank you for your help.

  4. It took about 3 biz days to and about a week to get it to the embassy. It was pretty quick altogether. The embassy however took longer than expected.

Thank you Karen for always reply my posts. You are the best. I have one question that you and others could help me to figure it out. When you filled out I-864 and I-864A, did you guys leave the none applicable are blank or write in n/a? I saw that some people get a check list because they didn't put n/a. Thank you for your help!

  5. You're welcome!

As soon as you get the case and invoice number send them the email requesting the expedite service because that information has to be included in the request. And it has to be written by a physician.

You're welcome! It will be over soon ;)

Hi Karen, I received an email from NVC stating that my parents cases are under review for expeditious visa processing. How long did it take for you to hear anything from them?

  6. Hi guys, thank you so much for answering my questions. I'm filling out I-864 and I864A for my parents. I read on this forum that you should put N/A next to the blank field. Otherwise, you will get a checklist but I read the I-864 instruction and they recommneded not to do so. What do you guys recommend me to do? Thank you so much!

  7. It may take up to 30 days for NVC to receive and enter the cases in their system. I'd say call back 2 weeks after the date it left NVC.

Thank you Kerran. I noticed that you asked NVC expedite your case. I'm planning to expedite my petitions for medical reasons. When do you recommend me to send them an email? Should I do so after I receive the case numbers? Thank you for your help!
  8. I called USCIS and talked to a level 2 officer. He said both of my parents' petitions physically left NSC on 06/17/14 even though their petitions were approved on June 5. I got an email notice that they sent their petitions to NVC on June 11. I called NVC this morning and they said that they did not have my parents' petitions. When you I call them back? Thank you

  9. Wow that was fast! I'm in disbelief. Matrix00100 timeline shows California Service Center though, so that does not apply to NSC applicants. Either way, that was fast and congratulations to your parents and hopefully the rest of us will get a response soon. Thank you Everyone

My cases were at NSC. I'm not sure why they processed mine so fast. I was expecting 6-7 months. Thank God!

  10. Looks like I will be joining the game again, this time with my dad. I'll add the timeline as soon as I submit the paperwork to USCIS.

What do you do to expedite the petition ? Do I have to make an Infopass appointment after they give me the case number, or is a phone call/email sufficient? And will they expedite based on the health issues not of the beneficiary, but the petitioner's family member (my husband)? I have his doctor's letters as proof.

My dad applied for visitor's visa this week so he can come help me when my husband goes into his several surgeries and more chemo, but got denied in spite of having a wife and two little children who would be staying in Russia. The consulate did not even look at the doctor's letters.

We figured it was time to try and get together permanently, which will add the issue of bringing my stepmom and my half-siblings here. I'll probably never ever be done with USCIS and DoS!

I also still have no idea when my mom will be coming, so it's kinda disconcerting. My dad was supposed to come before my mom.

    Excuse my venting:)

Sorry to hear that Okflyboy. My mom had cancer and we had a doctor's letter. I applied for expedite at Nebraska Service Center and they refused me so I definitely know how you feel. I am very mad but pray that we will pass this step soon. It is unfair but the system is unfair anyway. Any January 2014 petition got approved at NSC? Good luck guys!

  11. I also sent an email to the White House and received a generic email back. I also signed a petition today on that site for our fight. Thank you

I created a White House petition but it didn't get much support from this forum. However, I always sign all petition that others created. I understand that we all feel tired and disappointed about the process but we must keep fighting for people after us. Good luck everyone!!! :))

  12. Our PD is May 03,2013 , at NBC. Then transfer notice to Nebraska, dated Dec. 05,2013. Just seems funny how they haven't done anything newer than March 2013 for months. They jumped, Oct. 2012 to Feb. 12,2013 in one month. Then they go to March 20,2013, in a month. And that's where they stand since Nov. What the **ll! My transfer letter said," after 60 days if you don't get a

decision call or summit an e-request. If you call they just say that is the date they last processed and you need to be patient.

I haven't had any luck with the e-request. I tried to do that. But we don't fit either of the 2 options to use that. It just feels like those who are doing immigration legally are having to wait longer because of the extra work the president made a

    priority.

I agreed with you. It is unfair that USCIS is so behind on I-130 for immediate family. I wrote on email to the White House and got a generic email with a link to Obama new immigration reform website. I don't think I will support his bill. Immigration should be a fair process. Everyone should wait in line like anybody else. It is even worse in your case because you are away from your spouse for so long. Good luck with your petition!
