It will impact in a way that they will be more cautious when giving out visas. They will also put people in AP which may be longer than AP used to be. But try not to worry too much. As long as you have plenty of evidence and a genuine relationship it should be fine. Good luck!

Hi! Happy New Year to you. To answer your questions, yes you will need a visa to visit Pakistan. The lengthy of visas vary from 1 month to 6 months( 6 months being you have up to 3 months to travel to Pakistan and once in Pakistan you will have 3 months to stay). I've applied for 2 visas in the USA ( and 2 extensions 1 year each as I used to live in Pakistan with my husband) from the embassy in the DC. It depends on what state you live in but the website will tell you where to send our application to.
The times that I have applied for the visa I was never asked to come for a interview. That was a few years ago and people are saying that its a bit more difficult to get a visa to Pakistan now. The first time I applied it was a visit visa to visit my fiancé (now husband). The second time I applied for a visit and marked family and on the visa it said family visa. But for now you would apply for a visit visa.
Yes you can get married on a visit visa. I believe where they put the NIC number on the nikah they just put my passport number. I know when I had our baby the hospital put my passport Number on all the paperwork.
To apply for a visit visa you should send more things than it says on the website. When I sent mine it sent the application, 4 passport pics, an invitation letter from him staying id be staying with his family and address and phone number, copy if his passport, copy of his NIC. When he writes the letter id have him refer to you as fiancé because I'm not are if they give visas to boyfriends and girlfriends. I also sent my flight itinerary.
They say it can take 4-6 weeks but all the times I applied I got my passport back within 10-14 days.
I don't think Pakistan have a spousal visa. Lived in Pakistan for almost 3 years and never get a spousal visa. What I did was each time my visa was about to expire I just went to get an extension in Islamabad. The extensions are good for a year ( at least mine were).
You register the nikah in the union council or CANTT board. Depending on when you live.
If you have any other questions just message me! Good luck!

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it just yet about not receiving it. As they told my husband it would take up to 90 days (3 months like you said). Just wish there would have been an easier way to find this number to track it.its been a month for me here,I havent heard anything regarding my greencard .The immigration officer at the airport told me it can take up to 3 months ,so yeah nothing to worry about.but there should be a way to find the status of the case.

We tried doing the same thing but couldn't figure it out. My husband got his green card 3 weeks after arriving in the USA. When we got the green card it had the IOE number ( that's the one you need to track it) but now we don't need it after we received it. Lol

My husband got his about a week after he came. He arrived on a Sunday and the following Monday he got the card in the mail.

lol you mean shots ?

if you are married for more than two years then you will get an unconditional GC.
-
if you have a record on paper to prove otherwise you will get the vaccines.
-
Oh come on UAE is fine just like USA and UK

Don't worry about taking your spouse to interview it doesn't help unless you have a very complicated case.
-
You don't need FO stamp or anything but you must have the stamp of Nikah Registrar and it should be registered in Union council or Cantt Board whichever implies to you.

In my opinion a written statement with explanation will work better
If that was a Big of an issue then they would not have cleared NVC stage so it's not something alarming.
Can plz anyone tell me how many days in takes to passport get ready after the interview . N frm where do v pick it or they deliver it at home? ?
2 days for us so I think you can collect within a week.

Guys my interview is on 5th November. I'm little worried. My husband is divorced and with me is his 2nd marriage. We did not mention in our Pakistani marriage registration certificate (nikkah Nama) that bridegroom is divorced. Cuz 1st marriage took place in America and that had not any registration or termination in Pakistan. No link. I'm worried if CO asks me why you guys didn't mention it in wedding certificate.
To be honest you should have mentioned it on Nikah Nama no matter where first marriage or divorce took place but Now you can't do anything so if CO asks you about this error, tell him the truth and you will be fine

Can anyone here tell what financial documents do they require at the interview? We submitted IRS tax transcripts, pay stubs etc along with i864.
Will i need the same docs again? and what about W2? Since we submitted transcripts, so W2 wasnt required. Please guide me. TIA
You need the same documents and W2s aren't required since you will have IRS transcripts.

Quick answer is No but if you lived in a foreign country for more than 6 months, make sure you have the certificate with you.Hello everyone,
Can someone who recently had an interview in Islamabad answer if we do need/required police clearance certificate at the time of interview.
Thanks-

Congratulations!

I'm pretty sure police certificates are only required after the age of 16, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Got approved today ... Alhamdulillah.
Fortunately, i came across my uncle and my pre-school friend too.
indeed, the world is so small.
Congrats!
i got my interview date ALHUMDULILAH.. any body having interview on 02-NOV???
congratulations who are getting theor approvals.. mine time is 7.AM is this the time to reach in embassy or at shuttle service??
That's the time you should reach the embassy. My husband got to the shuttle service around 6 am. That gave him plenty of time to get to the embassy as it is very busy in the morning for USA line.

Congratulations!!!

it does not matter as long you have an authentic Birth Certificate from relevant authorities. I never had a birth certificate and made it specially for Immigration purpose in 2013 and had no issues.
-
if u did pay the fee then its not an issue. you can speak to the Immigration officer at POE and they can advise you.
Go to USCIS website and put your details once again if you receive this error then your are fine.
ERROR: The USCIS Immigrant Fee has already been paid for this immigrant.

For anyone who has recently picked up your visa from Islamabad, around what time did you get the phone call that your visa was ready?
Yes they give you a call. My husband had his interview sept 30 and they called 4 pm that Friday (Oct 2) to come pick up his passport.
Nikah Nama - urdu marriage certificate. I dont have the english and have no clue what to do with attestation
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

Salam bro,
Don't worry about the attestation we didn't attest our Nikah and was approved no problem. What they do need is the Urdu Nikah Nama which should be registered with the Cantt board or union council (depending on where your wife lives.) You will need a translated English copy of the Nikah Nama. Make sure the translator is legit ad competent in doing translations. You don't want a translator how has spelling mistakes etc. the translator should have a seal or some sort.
Really that's all you need. We did get the NADRA marriage certificate to go along with the English and Urdu Nikahs. You can get this from the NADRA office in the area. You really don't need to get this though. We got it for when we submitted our application. I think it makes it look better if you do but not necessary.
Try to send as much evidence of bonafide marriage was possible. Get pictures, chats etc. passport stamps from visits and plane tickets would help as well. Affidavits don't weigh that much as evidence but maybe you can get a few from people writing about your relationship.
Don't worry about her name being different. They will understand I'm sure that she has changed her name after getting married. I'm pretty sure they ask someone on the forms of her maiden name and any name changes (sorry if I'm wrong it's been awhile since I looked at the forms but I'm pretty sure there is somewhere it says that)
