My sister is currently working in Australia and she has a 4-year contract with the company she is working for. She wants to come visit me here in a year or two. We were just wondering if anyone knows if she can just apply for a US tourist visa in Australia or does she need to apply in the Philippines. She is planning to apply for Australian residency when she becomes eligible for it. Would she have a better chance of getting approved if she has legal papers of residency in Australia?

I just wanted to know how do I go about in petitioning my mom who is still a Philippine Citizen but is now living in Canada with my sister. Just file the I-130 and USCIS will determine where she gets interviewed? Or they will automatically send it to Canadaian embassy where she lives?

Worena just recieved her packet and interview date is Aug. 10. There is a bunch taking there medical on July 18 from asawa. WengDens is my girl and send her a message if you like to join them.

We've been texting each other for quite sometime now. And I will be helping her arrange her documents when we meet up for our medical. Weng & I will be roomies for our medical.

Today I got this email message from USCIS:

Receipt Number: WAC0607*******

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On April 6, 2006, an approval notice was

mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice,

you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address,

please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business

hours.

I don't get it...we were approved on March 28th...and we already got the I-797 Notice of Approval last March 31st. So how come they emailed me just now and now saying they approved and sent the NOA2 April 6.

I think they are getting confused with all the backlogs they have.

Anyone of you who has experienced this before?

I mean, I am not complaining since we got our approval already. But different dates!? I told my Pineapple that the date in the NOA2 paper is the official date. Am I correct?

Just an update...

After getting touched last March 28th...there was nothing. So anxiety was setting in again.

Today March 31st night time in the US. My Pineapple came messageing me with lots of kisses. So I fugured, he is awfully in a good mood. Deep inside of me I was saying, good for him, coz I am having a bad day since last I received a call from a friend that she got an email saying they are approved. And their date was like 10 days later than our NOA1.So that frustrate me. So my PIneapple said he wants to send me a picture of him.And he follwed it by a devil laughing smiley.So I was like...ok. He made me promise that I will look at it now. I am presently at work right now and my boss could clearly see any picture I look at at my pc. All I thought he was being a meany and sending me naughty pictures.HE HE HE!

But it was not, it was our NOA2 paper. It said there that the notice date was MArch 28th. So now, we were touched that day...not knowing we were approved already.We didn't get any emails from the touch and the approval that day.

I am just in cloud nine...I cried at work in front of my bosses.

They are all happy for me. And to everyone, never lose hope nor patience. Soon all of us will be getting our NOA2's. And will be reunited with our loved ones.

Please add me to the approved petitions...dated March 28, 2006. It's weird coz that is the same day we were touched. And my Pineapple surprised me today by sending me a copy of the NOA2 paper. We didn't get an email...nothing. Just the paper it self.

WOO HOO! Now, on to the longest wait...the interview.

Hope all of us waiting for CSC to move faster will be able to get the NOA2 already!!! The long wait needs to come to an end. Coz the interview scheduling here in the Philippines takes around 5 months. I am looking forward to move on to that 5 month wait now. HA HA HA!

I was so happy to see our case was touched.

I was not even thinking of checking the USCIS website today coz I don't want to be disappointed. But when I trired searching for CSC K-1 cases here in Manila, Philippines...I saw that one member with the same receipt date as us was already approved last Mar.21 so it made me want to check the USCIS website. Coz thanks to the members here...I read before that they update it but sends email a bit late. So maybe they have updated it but not yet sent an email...and I was right...WOO HOO! As soon as I saw that, I texted my Pineapple and gave him the news.

Even though it's just a touch...it is still an update on our case which means someone is finally reviewing our petition. I am sure my Pineapple will tell his mom and my future mother in law will email me about it. She is always asking us about when will I get there. She is always cheering us up when we get down with frustration.

Hope us all CSCers will get our NOA2 already!!!!

That is so frustrating to see...for sure all of us have been waiting for that date to change. Been looking forward to seeing them post a new one only to see that it will still be on Dec.31...is there someone we could stranggle? ha ha ha!

I better find a punching bag to release my rage...but I did saw someone who had a Jan.3 NOA1 who got their NOA2 already. So we still have hope that we January petitions might get ours soon. Hopefully this month of March too.

Congratulations!!!! So good to see petitions getting approved at CSC. We now know they are not being lazy. Our NOA1 was dated Jan.6, so our NOA2 will probably come soon. Hope they get done with all the December petitions soon.

It said your NOA1 was received in the mail Jan.4...so what was the receipt date in your NOA1 paper?

I've been lurking around and visiting every now and then but have only posted once. So I think it's about time for me to introduce myself.

My name is Leslie and I am from the Philippines. I am engaged with a very nice man from Chula Vista in California. We met back in March 2004...so almost 2 years and going strong now. He came here to visit back in Nov. 2005...We got to send out our K1 petition this January already coz during the holiday the photo shops were closed.

And so the waiting has begun for us...good luck to everyone who are waiting for their petitions in CSC.

Oh yeah, where did I get my username name...well, Pineapple is what we call each other. And there was a very old song called Pineapple Princess. I'm the Princess and he is the Pineapple King...since we are still not married I am not yet a Queen. It's silly, I know. But love makes us do silly things. LOL
