  1. Called USCIS this morning and after getting my call escalated, she said my case was approved!!!

It took 1 year and 3 months!

my Combo card renewal was pending too because of the RFE I got, but that was approved as well.

One tip I want to give is try to get your call escalated, the first person you talk to will always give you the "standard" answer like, you have to wait 60 days, or even just read the same thing your online status says.

but once the escalated call, they know a lot more and have more insight about your case.

another tip is, keep sending e-requests and calling. I sent my RFE reply and they lost it, and I found out because I filed a service request, and they sent me another letter saying they didn't get anything and will let me send it again even though passed my deadline, and I believe it was because I kept calling and trying to get info, otherwise I'd have never found out they lost it. (personal opinion, not for sure),

BTW, my online status never changed after case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

  2. I sent my AOS February 09,2015. Received an RFE in Sept,2015 replied mid Oct,2015.

I have been sending E-Requests and calling USCIS at least once a month.

All the replies I got were pending consideration, and the second reply was due to workload etc.

The last E-request I sent, I had no reply from USCIS, so I decided to call...

So I talk to the customer service center and she said she was going to try to see more info about my case,

and she said that USCIS did not receive my RFE and that is why they can't process my case...and that she would escalate my call so I could get more info, after waiting couple of mins, the phone call just hung up...

So I called once again, and the second person I spoke to said, there is no information regarding my RFE on her computer despite that my case is ready to be schedule an interview and I have to wait another 30 days..until I contact them again.

I really don't know what to do. This is so stressful, they give no insight of what is going on with the process...and I am just scared they are gonna deny my case with no reason.

btw, I haven't had an update on my online status since april 13,2015..not even the RFE I got was updated on my online status.

Does anyone have a similar experience?

    Please help....

  3. this was the reply to my second E-Request.

The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

    guess gotta wait more........

  4. That's a tough call. But if you tracked that they got it, that should be fine. Interesting that afte an NPIW, you got a status change to read to schedule an interview. They handle the scheduling anyway.

No, my status changed in April and letter came in June.

    Do you check online status?

Do you get response direcrly from Philadelphia office?

I think you can call and ask them if they receive your rfe or not, but if you track your mail and it came, it will be ok.

Yes I do check my online status every hour, but my online status hasnt changed since april. Even after the RFE, it hasnt changed.

I dont get response from Philadelphia office, I know my aos is in Philadelphia because of the RFE letter.

I call USCIS but they cant tell me if they got the RFE package or not...I dont even know what they know...

I feel like they just answer whatever is on their script, and if they are out of answers they just say give another 60 days. sighs..

  5. I sent my AOS package in Feb, online status changed to ready to schedule an interview in April, got my NPWI in June, and in Sept. got an RFE letter for more tax returns, no online update.

I sent the RFE two weeks after I got the letter, and I still dont know if they got the package or not I remember I tracked the package and they got it, but now I cant find the tracking number anymore.

I filled in an e-request in November, but the only reply I got was that it was pending consideration.

I called USCIS, the lady said I have to wait at least another 60 days until I fill another request.

Yesterday was the deadline to send the RFE, I don't know if they have it or not...are they gonna consider abandonment? I am so terrified.....

my case is in Philadelphia office

  6. Feb 9th - I filled my AOS back in Feb

April 13th - my online status changed to ready for interview in April and

June 22nd - I got the NPWI letter.

September 23rd - I got a RFE for Affidavit of Support, I don't know why cause my husband makes enough, but sent everything all over again 2 weeks after I got the letter.

I got the RFE letter, but no update on my online status, and no update if they got my RFE package.

On November 3rd - called USCIS to inquire about my case, he said the office taking care of my case (Philadelphia) it's working on Feb 23rd cases, so my AOS is outside normal processing time (I filled in Feb 9th)

so he filled in a request service for me.

Nov 24th - I got this reply from USCIS "Your I485 application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application."

Does this mean they have my RFE package or not?

I am sooooo worried they haven't gotten my RFE and they might consider my case as abandonment. I don't know what to do!!!

Does anyone here have similar experience?

  7. Hello,

I have already posted question about passport before,

but I just wanted to ask if someone here have filled in the ds-160 form with a different number from the one bringing to the interview?

I am going to renew and I will have the new passport in hands before the interview, but they are asking for the confirmation number by Oct 09th!

Will they deny me because my passport number is different from the one I filled in? I do plan on taking both of the passports to the interview...

I just wanted to know if anyone here did the same and if had any problems...

    Thank you in advance.

  8. Hello,

So yesterday I posted about my passport issue.

I am going to have to renew my passport (expires in Feb2015), but apparently it is going to take 1 and half month until I have it, my case is at NVC right now, and since I am from Brazil, I am expecting to have interview date within a month, which I think it will be before I have my new passport in hands.

    My questions are:

1 - Do I have to wait until I have my new passport to fill out DS-160?

2 - If my interview is scheduled before I have my new passport should I reschedule the interview or can I just attend the interview with my old passport?

3 - If I do have to reschedule my interview, how do I do so?

    Any advices are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

  9. Hello,

I have a question about passport. My passport expires in Feb, I do not have an interview date yet, so I will need a renew it, but since I am dual citizenship I have another passport which expires in 2021!

Does someone know if I must renew my passport, or I can just take the other one, or if I email my country's consulate will they answer me?

  10. I don't think your chances of being denied entry are any higher after NOA2. I did the same thing myself and had no problems whatsoever (I came here in December 2013, a month before my interview, and stayed for 3 weeks). Make sure you bring a copy of your NOA2 as well, and the letter with the interview date, if you receive it before you travel. And of course, don't lie to the immigration officers. I came here to spend Xmas and NYE with my fiancé and his family, and that's what I told the guy at the Atlanta airport (and it wasn't a big deal).

Good luck and have a nice trip!

Oh thank you for your reply!

my POE will be in ATL too! I will do what you said! I won't have an interview date yet tho..

    Thank you!

  11. I know I can visit, but it is sooo nerve wracking!

I have booked my plane ticket before getting our NOA2, and we got approved yesterday!!

I don't know if visiting after NOA2 will make things more difficult.

Are the chances of getting denied entry higher if I visit after NOA2??????

    I have all prepared:

    - letter from my manager

    - contract

    - last pay stubs

    - my car document

    - email with updated status

    - copy of NOA1

and also my sister will be travelling with me..the main purpose of the visit is vacation for 10 days.

    any thoughts???

  12. So I got the answer from our Senator...

Currently, I-129F petitions thatwere filed on or before December 31, 2013 are being adjudicated. Please allow 30 days for a Notice ofAction to be mailed to your address of record once a decision has been made on your case.

Thank you captain obvious for nothing........

that was the same answer USCIS gave us! we could have done that.....argh...

    so annoying.....

    231 days today!

  13. If you're anything like me it means that it is no longer stuck in security checks. The A-number is the internal number USCIS uses to track applications, meaning that it is hopefully waiting on someone's desk, instead of getting tossed around the FBI.

    Hi!

    Thank you for your answer!

Is that the stage after security check? 'cause we have never gotten a notification saying our case was under security check.

Do you think that even with the A-number they can send it to security check?

  14. I wonder what it is...what could possibly be the reason why only few of us are taking so long...

they are processing march fillers already! and this is getting ridiculous!

is there a reason that crosses your mind and could be something suspiscious to the officers?

We all must have something in common that makes us go under background check for so long (I dont know if my case is, just assuming)

I've tried to think in all possibilities..and I have nothing...

maybe cause my fiance was a volunteer worker for 2 years and didn't have any income while volunteering? or cause I have dual citizenship? or cause I deleted facebook and twitter just recently and uscis couldn't stalk me? hahaha...I dont know.....

I really wish we could have an insight or just a hint at least....

  15. I would call USCIS and find out what the status is on your case. You should have gotten your NOA2 by now according to the timelines of TSC.

I don't know the longest wait for NOA2....but have you made any calls or made an inquiry? The immigration timeline states that TSC is now processing February filers. I'd make a phone call or two.

I have called the USCIS and they said they are on Dec 31st.....I know it's a lie, but that's the answer they give us everytime we call....and we have put e-requests and inquiry to our senator...but no answer yet...
