I am in need of guidance on the process and procedures of the K3 visa. I am current active duty military stationed in Okinawa Japan. My spouse is a Brazilian National who is currently living with me. Once we file the I 130 and we eventually prepare for the interview process, does she need to return to Brazil for the interview or can she do the interview in Japan? I have a question about "Transit Visa", I think also known as a C Visa. I am currently stationed in Japan with the Navy and i will be flying to Brazil to spend vacation with my spouse who is a Brazilian national. We are planning on flying back Japan together after my vacation is done. Currently my ticket has me flying through Washington D.C. before arriving in to Japan. I would like to purchase the same ticket for my spouse as well. Unfortunately she does not have an american visa yet so is unable to travel through the U.S. to arrive to Japan. What is the process for her to obtain a Transit Visa and also the time to approve? I want to make sure that everything is well before i purchase the ticket. Thanks in advance for any information you provide.

In regards to being an american citizen, I am planning on marrying my spouse in Brazil, is there a set criteria to follow ( i.e. documents required) in order to marry within Brazil?

I am a little confused on the I-130 . Active duty military member and I am getting married in the next coming months but i wanted to begin rough drafting the forms so i can make sure to catch all mistakes ahead of time. One issue that i've noticed is filling out my spouse's last name. I figure for the middle name i would put N/A or -, , but for her last name should it go in the order of her mother's last name then father's, or vice versa? Also, we have a son (Her son through previous marriage) and i am aware that i will have to submit another I-130 for him as well, What should i mark from Block (A) - ©. Finally if anyone else has any experience with the immigration visa for spouses in regards to Brazil please let me know any tips or advice you have Thanks in advance for everything!

Not sure which forum to post this question but I am currently stationed in Japan active duty military and my soon to be wife lives in Brazil. We are currently preparing to begin the process for the K3 Visa which seems the best route so far. On completion/approval of her K3 visa, is it possible for her to visit me in Japan being a military spouse while i am on orders? If so what is the best route to take on getting this accomplished. Any information provided will be greatly appreciated.

I am in desperate need of advice . I am currently on active duty serving in the Navy and i am getting married soon to my fiance who currently lives in Brazil. We are planning on getting married in Brazil due to the fact that i am currently deployed to Japan and her family will attend the wedding. I have reviewed the website with information on the Immigrant and Non Immigrant visa process but i am still confused on which will be the best option and ultimately, fastest. I will return from my deployment in the beginning of 2015 so we have time to prepare properly for her transition to the states. I just want to make sure i cover the right tracks in order to make our dream come. Thanks for any information you can provide!
